Walking in darkness honestly not the smartest thing to do, but it's even smart to walk around when you're lost. Normally, common sense dictate you to go to the path with the most noticeable landmark, or the tallest spot and then climb it to determine your position, then you can trace your way from there with compass and map. Still... what good is map that is torn? Beat stared at the hole on his map, no thanks to bandits that thought he's a good, fast zeni. Taught 'em who was the boss pretty quickly too (much to his surprise), but talk about lucky. None of them bring gun, or maybe it's him that gonna get in problem. But either way... one of them slashed at him, only for it to miss and hit his map instead. When he noticed that, he deeply regretted that he did not at least have one of the bandit conscious.
"...Well, sighing won't do anything," he decided. "I just hope I can rest somewhere... or better said, where's Korin's Watch anyway? I know they're near some tribe, but I don't even know where is the way..."
It's bothersome, seriously bothersome. Even so, this is already his second day on the road. He have taught how to camp by his father, and it was helping... but in the end, hunting still beyond him, so he had to conserve some food. While he find edible fruits and mushrooms, his stomach is growling for meat. His speed has increased significantly. Heck, he could probably outrun a normal athlete now, not to mention his stamina. However, as it stands, Beat still unable to catch a wild deer or any sort of wild animal barehanded.
"Should've bought some spear or something," he muttered. With spear, he might be able to hunt them. He's quite confident of his markmanship, especially his throwing ability. Trained from two or so years of tossing newspaper to its right place, he should be able to do it... not to mention, with this increased strength...
"...Come to think of it, where am I again?"
When he looked up, he was not in any area he find noticeable... but there is a building that looked like an eastern shrine. Torii that stood as gateway seem to demand respect from him. He don't get why, but the pull to this place is strong. He avoided the middle of the stone paved walkway and choose the left. Several statues of what looked like... Guardian deity? He's not sure, seem to placed around here. And before long, he's at the entrance of the shrine.
"...I don't remember there's building like this in the map... oh well, might as well as ask. Even if they turn me away, there's no loss in that.... Excuse me!" He's not sure whether to knock, ring a bell or something else. Well, hopefully he didn't came off as rude...

Russed furred ears twitched at the voice of a stranger near the Tori gates, their owner sighed through his nose as he gently lay down the teapot, dried his hands with a rag and left the kitchen where he was moments ago diligently cooking some food and deserts for his master before he woke up from his long nap.
Ever since Cornatto had come around and told them about the trials to come, his Master had been training like a workhorse. He was entirely justified as well, considering their Universe's fate was at stake, one false movement and they could be erased by the King of All; Zeno-ö-sama himself. That wasn't all, however, when his Lord had heard of the God of Destruction of this Universe, he seemed more energetic than usual, and if pressed he merely replied that he now had something to prove and someone to surpass, as he believed that only he could dictate what could be destroyed in his Universe or not.
Perhaps his Master was acting all kinds of cocky by declaring such a thing, but if there was one thing his Master had in spades it was determination and the will to succeed; perhaps someday he'll surpass the God of Destruction of this Universe...
Shaking his head from these thoughts, he approached the entrance to the temple grounds, the Mansion that his Lord called a home standing ways behind him now. Seeing the shape of a human male standing at the gates, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, the russet colored Wolfman in what seemed like an egyptian gear almost entirely out of place in such an eastern setting. "Yes? What can I help you with?" Hopefully this ningen wasn't some sort of tourist or merely someone passing through, his Master didn't need to be bothered by such simple things.

...Nonhuman person... a wolf? For some reason, he looked off too based on how this building looks like and his attire. This is the first time he saw such a clash. He's also a wolf, not a fox, he noted. That difference is amusing, but not amusing enough for him to relax himself. There's something, a smell--or a feeling perhaps... He can't really sense Ki, but he understood that something in front of him, this guy, pretty much outclassed him no matter how strong he would be. It's best if he paid his respect quickly. Beat bowed at the guardian.
"...Um... Sorry, it looks like that I've accidentally lost..." yep, that cemented what he feared. The boy is lost, or maybe even worse. He took out map with huge hole on the center, like someone has punched through it "or actually, I was caught in some unforseen event, and... Bottom line is, I'm lost. My map is unusable, and my compass--my compass still working. If you don't mind, can I ask you where's the way toward Korin's Watch? I won't bother you more than this if it's too much."
With this person just... smelled like he's a total powerful guy, he can't ask him to let him to take a shelter for a day. That's just too much for his liking. He felt like if he crossed an unspeakable limit, his head would roll. But more than anything, he feared that this person will say that Korin's Watch is actually at another end of the land. If that happened then... well, he's screwed. Food nearly all gone and now he's lost. Might as well as beg people that lives in this place to make him their servant or something to save up money. Maybe that would be more productive than aimlessly hitting the road or something else as stupid.

So he wasn't someone merely looking like a tourist of some kind, or a peddler by any means, in fact the reason for the boy's happenstance in this place was entirely mundane that it almost made him chuckle at the normalcy of it, having been accustome to people just appearing out of nowhere from the skies demanding to see his Master to be trained by him, so this was almost a refreshing change of pace, even so the laugh still escaped him as he realized the predicament the boy was in when he asked about the location of Korin's Tower.
Boy, will he be in for a big surprise once he realizes where he is.
"You're a long way from there, kid," he said with a joking tone to his growly baritone voice as he eyed Beat with a hint of pity in his golden gaze. "You see, we're at the Western Lands, and Korin's Tower, also known as The Lookout is all the way on the Eastern Islands. Practically at the other side of the world!" he chuckles at the boy's predicament for a few seconds as he closes his eyes in mirth. "And judging by the look of things, it seems that it took a lot out of you to simply get here."

Eh? Eh!? Why is this guy laughing? Beat was about to pout and wonder if the guy was mocking him and actually the tower no longer exists or something, or this is the so called "figurative tower".... Turned out it's not.... AND THE TOWER WAS CLOSER TO HOME THAN HERE! NOT ONLY IT'S NOT ON THE END OF THIS LAND, IT'S ON ANOTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET! Beat's jaw dropped as he heard that and quickly checked whatever leftover of a map he have. While the part about the western area was completely torn, the east islands was still in one piece. The boy's eyes widened in shock and in disbelief at what he's seeing. "...Aaah... ahhh!!" foolishly, the boy only could let out such voice mixed with various emotions. Shock? Check. Anger from having to go here and got kidnapped by bandits? Check. Exasperation from getting lost? Check too. The boy cursed in some language that probably from a tribe somewhere and tossed the map to the ground in comical fury. However, upon looking at Samael on the face again, it was all that it takes for the boy to mutter quick apology for littering and picked up the crumpled map.
"........Ugh, I didn't even bothered to check the location for reeealll!! THE MAP IS UPSIDE DOWN AND I'VE BEEN READING IT LIKE THAT, NO WONDER GODDAMMIT!!" the boy screamed out loud.
But after all that is said, it's true that he's having a hard time to even return to his home back in the east. He can't fly, he don't have compass, nor that compass gonna be useful anyway considering that his map is all torn up... and plus he's hungry. Oh dammit, there are too many problems that just piles up that made the boy don't know where to even start... "...Ugh, I'm sorry for that, then... Is... is there is anything I can do somehow, to be allowed to spend at least a night, or spared some food? Once that's done and all I'll get out of your... fur" literal fur, he noted "I really don't want to impose, but at the same time I'm just totally lost of what to do..."
Welp, he tried. If the stranger did not give him any mercy and decided to shoo him of, he's fine with it... but if he's given a job, he'll do it seriously, anything to survive. WC: 401 Cervez

The boy's shrill scream made him wince, his ears splaying back against his skull as his eyes narrowed. "Oi, inside voice please." He nervously looked backward to see if there was any sort of explosion and or malicious aura leaking out of the temple that would inquiry him of his Master's mood from being interrupted from his long nap in such a manner, yet he didn't see any sort of reaction on that front so he breathed a sigh of relief.
Foolishly thinking that he was in the all clear, not knowing that his Master was now back with the world of the living and most attentively hearing what was going on outside, the demonic-looking wolf turned back to his wayward looking companion as he looked back at him pleadingly, if he tried any harder those eyes would almost look puppyish with how pitiful he looked at the moment. He made a shown of thinking about it, going as far as to rub his chin with a clawed hand as he looked skyward for a few seconds. "Well you could definitely help me with something, but you're too young for that." Samael mused with an uncaring air but if one were to look closely they'd see that his eyes were shining with amusement and the corner of his muzzle had the beginning of a smirk forming, it was clear by then that he was merely trolling with the human.
In all honesty, what could the human offer in exchange to rest inside the temple of his Lord? Perhaps he could become another loyal vassal, if not merely help around cleaning and tidying up the place every once in a while until he was ready to leave, whenever that may be considering Beat would have a long way to go before reaching Korin Tower at this rate. "Perhaps you could be of use," he said after a while as he turned around and walked inside, motioning for the human to follow him. "While I might be sympathetic to your situation, you'd have to talk with my Lord about it, see what he thinks." If Beat followed him, the large demonic wolf would take them to the living room, Samael stopping momentarily as he saw that his Master was now seated at the low table with a tray of green tea and biscuits in front of him. "I see that you've helped yourself, my Lord."
"You were taking too long." Cervez said as he took a sip, one eye closed while the other narrowed at their guest. "And who is this?" Cervez stopped Samael from speaking as he motioned to Beat to speak. "I want to hear it from him, besides you were working on the kitchen before, weren't you?" Samael merely shrugged, it was true after all and it would be best to not keep his master waiting as he left the two alone.

On the chiding that he should use inner voice, Beat closed his mouth in hurry while bowing several times in quick succession to apologize. The boy noticed though that the man seem to be very nervous about something. His wife probably? Or maybe his mate, a stronger mate? The boy tilted his head in worry, looking back at the shrine-like building, wondering if it's alright... From the way the other guy reacted, it's seems that whatever is there is really dangerous... but then again, he breathed sigh of relief... Is it really fine? But the way he plead made Beat both amused and just scared of what is inside, honestly. It made him like what inside lies a monster strong enough to destroy a world (not that he's wrong, but he have no idea of course).
...Let's not tell the guy that he have a strong desire to pat his head to reassure him that he's OK. Or at least, Beat tried his hardest to not let his hand gone loose and try to reach out to Samael's head. The man looked at the sky while seem to pondering about Beat's little plea for help. The moment he said that he have something in mind, the boy's eyes lit up, but then the moment he said that "he's too young for it" made the red haired boy tilted his head. What? Too young? What? Huh? He thought about it again... What on earth does he want if he's not old e--
....the dawning realization came. The boy's eyes slowly widened, and then it followed with the reddest tint of red possible on a human's face, reaching up to his ears. Beat furiously blushes at such proposal. There's no way he'll do that even though he's old enough! The boy looked at the wolfman who now grinning slightly. "...Dangit," he managed to whisper. Now that embarrassment cranked up even higher knowing how he completely walked into that one. He really thought that the man is serious for a second there!
The moment the man said that he might be able to be of a use, the youth's face lit up again and he grinned wide. "I'll work hard!" he answered. But turned out, the shrine is not owned by this guy but instead his master. Master? He sworn that the man looks strong, but there is actually a stronger person inside? He followed the man after giving his most polite "excuse me" to the entrance. He is then led to what looks like a living room. There, he saw a visage of what looked like a royalty... or at least, that how it felt to him. Being unable to sense ki just yet, he... had quite a rude thoughts. He looked at Samael, then at Cervez, then back at Samael again.
...I guess it's true that some royalties got certain fetish... I wonder if he likes it if his servants are buff...
Of course those thoughts immediately perishes itself when the lord of the shrine began to speak. The boy knelt and lowered his head low. "My greatest apology for disturbing your peace, O great lord. I'm merely an insignificant lost person who... apparently..." Beat blushed again, having to admit his mistake "...stupid enough to read a map upside down and ended up here... I was looking for Korin's Tower, totally unaware of the fact it was so close to home... And I'm... well, very lost, Milord... If I may be brazen... may I beg you for some food and at least a place to stay for the night? Of course, I'm not planning to do this for free. I'll do anything in my ability to be useful for you."
