While I must say that I overall enjoy the updates to mechanics, I must admit, I have quite a few gripes that I feel I should address. This is really all just personal input though.
1. Energy/Strike Techniques.
This is honestly an idea I liked to begin with, though, as I read into it, I started to dislike it. I feel it's main problem is over-complication. While categorization is really something I enjoy, there's something about this that feels rigid. Speaking 100% personally, I'd just say to remove this system.
2. Schools
Don't get me wrong, I, for the most part, love the update to the schools. But, there's almost a dependence on them, I mean, there was a bit of one before but I honestly feel that it's become a issue. However, I have a small solution I think would counter this.
*Self Improvement*
Now hear me out, what if you were able to get school techniques and improve melee finesse without buying a school or dojo, now you may he thinking, “hold up, what?” But let me explain.
These self taught schools would only improve melee finesse and techniques, though would take a spot.
It WOULDN'T give stamina.
And it WOULDN'T give Ultimates or Finishers.
It'd be a tradeoff like how Potential Unleashed is, improve quickly early game at the risk of locking yourself out of a school? Early Gains but forfeit the Late Rewards?
3. School Techniques
I'm not gonna talk too much about this because truthfully, this is only a minor problem, but I feel school techniques should be weaker, that or getting into a school should improve all techniques.
Regardless, these points aside, I can honestly say that I'm loving the new update, and can't wait to see what else is in store. I'd love to hear any feedback from both the staff and the members, either throwing in ideas or just fixing mine. Thanks so much for reading!
Sincerely,
