It was near the end of their trip to this remote desert planet. It had been almost five days since they had first arrived here. The two of them training relentlessly. They even found ore of Katchin from which to make Tarro a new set of training weights covering his arms and his legs. It was a rough training regimen for sure, Tarro was only on the most minimum of food and water during this trip. Karota was no joke when it came to training. The planet was in decent shape considering how much power they were throwing around, but it was crazy. Tarro was in his Super Saiyan state, panting exhausted as he and Karota had just finished another exchange. “Well I’ve made some progress… but I know I could go so much farther! If I could just transform, I know I could catch up to Carva at least! Fuck! What do he and Tomina have that I don’t? How is it that I’m so far behind both of them?”
Sufficed to say he was frustrated. Tomina and Carva going off to this Tournament of Power, and training in a special dimension to get even stronger only piled onto his frustrations. He was so far behind. He was so weak. How was he supposed to love Tomina and yet be completely be unable to protect her? He could just imagine it now. Nakiya and her armies standing on Tomina’s corpse, with a weak Tarro broken and worthless again. He refused to let that nightmare ever come to pass.
He just had to find a way to get stronger. Finishing his martial arts training would at least make him better prepared to handle things on the battlefield. He would master close-range combat by the end of this work, and he would inherit the same Spirit Ball technique that Nasu and Karota each used. At least that would be something. But still. It didn’t feel like enough. He hated feeling so far behind. “I hate this… so much…,” he would sigh.

Karota [Power Level: 571,281] [Super Saiyan Full Power. PL: 4,570,248]
Karota had been training with only her base Super Saiyan form for a while now and it annoyed her to think that, if not for the katchin weights they forged for Tarro, he would be on pair with her own power, despite the fact she was much stronger and more experienced. Truth be told, being a hybrid, Karota was starting to get old now that she had already hit 57 years of age. Unlike Miso, who was already 63 and looked younger than her, her earthling blood was beginning to take its tools on her. "You want to know why they are so much stronger than you? It's because you lack their fury, Tarro! You have deep frustrations, you have you rage, but instead of embracing it and letting it explode, you continuously try to keep it locked inside you! You have to release it. The super saiyan transformations come in response to a need, not a desire!" she explained as she slowly moved around him while in the Wolf School stance.
She sighed upon noticing his ever-growing frustration. "We are so alike... You and I. I'm here, thinking to myself how pitiful I'm becoming now that I'm growing old. My earthling blood is beginning to pull me down and when I look at Miso, a full-blooded saiyan who will remain on his prime until his eighties, how do you think I feel? He will continue to rise, while I will begin to fall." she sighed deeply. "Ironically, that's what will happen to you and Tomina, despite the fact you are a full-blood saiyan. Her Elemi blood will make her almost immortal, and as she continuously grow, you will decay. So... I ask you, what are you still waiting for in order to unleash your true power and potential?... We will eventually die... So, how do you want to be remembered?!" she asked, as she frowned her brows; she was speaking to herself and to Tarro at the same time.
"Now come at me and show me you can break past the limits of your Wolf Fang Fist! Give me the most powerful version of it, boy!" she demanded. Up until this point, she had already hit him a couple of times with the Neo Wolf Fang Fist, so it should've been enough for him to have grasped the concept behind it.
Tarro had to admit.. He was surprised at how strong he was getting. If he ascended to the next level… he might just be able to put up a decent fight with Karota at her full power (if the weights weren’t on obviously). He had been working himself to the bone, but still he had not yet found a way to transform. One of the ways to unlock Super Saiyan Two was to train hard enough that you didn’t even need the emotional trigger. You could just unlock it on your own and control it. But he had yet to reach that stage. He was still too weak, despite the leaps and bounds he had been making as a fighter. It was really starting to piss him off now. As the two were training… Karota responded to his frustrations with an admittedly frustrating answer. He lacked their fury?
He KNEW that wasn’t it. His face turned serious, an angry scowl on his face. “I don’t have enough RAGE!? Your radar is way off, master!” he said as he charged at her, punch after punch despite knowing it was pointless. Despite knowing that to her these punches were in slow motion. “Of fucking course I do! If I let it explode… it will never stop!” he said as the punches kept on coming. “There is so much to be angry about, that you can’t even begin to imagine. I’m angry that I’m so weak!” he said as he punched with so much power that a boulder behind her would collapse regardless of whether or not she blocked, evaded, or got hit by the strike.
“I’m angry that Carva’s out there and we’re all stuck here like sitting ducks!” he would say as the punches stopped and segway’d into a barrage of kicks now. It was like he was punching and kicking and the strikes were just endless, like they would just never end. “I’m angry that the Demons are so cowardly that they attacked everyone while we were on Earth, and that our race is almost extinct!” he would continue onward as the strikes kept on going. “I’m angry that Nasu didn’t tell us anything before we arrived on Earth. I’m angry that we suffered a humiliating defeat!” he said… but clearly his anger was growing. The more this kept on.. The more he was starting to open up about all the things he was mad about. The things that he tried to keep inside, the things he tried to keep a level head about. “I’m mad that we keep losing planets, and it seems like we’ll never be able to have a home while living this life. I’m mad that Natto is gone. I’m mad that my family is gone, every single one of them killed by Caesar.”
At this point his breath began to deepen as the fatigue of all these attacks was getting to him. It was clear this was beginning to take its toll with him. “I’m angry that my friends are dead, and that I caused one of their deaths by being so weak! I’m angry that Komatsu knew about Jarvis’ and didn’t prepare himself for an assault! I’m angry that I’m not good enough for Tomina..,” he would say as he weakly launched another punch, this one half-assed compared to the rest. “I’m angry because no matter how hard I try I can’t seem to help anyone!!” he would say as his power level fluctuated and raised slightly, the anger inside exploding.
He was feeling the tension, but it wasn’t enough. “So you see Master I have plenty of anger! And I can explode damn it! It’s just not enough… I’m too weak…,” he would say as his power dropped again back to normal. “And I know she’s going to outlive me… I know how the Elemi work… I’ll be alive for a tiny fraction of her lifespan. She’ll outlive me and outshine me by a million miles…” he would say.
“I don’t have any potential to tap….”
The words flowed out… and he believed them. A part of him was defeated. It didn’t seem to have any hope or any faith. He just didn’t have it.

Karota sighed as he started to talk about his "rage", but in her eyes that was not rage. Anger, yes. Frustration and bitterness, but that was far from the blind primal rage that caused the saiyans to ascend beyond every other race in the universe, the rage that granted them their unlimited possession, at least to the ones like Nasu and Komatsu, who could really tap deep into their saiyan core and make it explode like a Supernova, making everyone else look like children on the kindergarten. It was frustrating to her as well, she used to be close to Natto's power even when he was considered a living legend, stronger than anyone, but those kids? They went above and beyond and managed to ascend to a realm she didn't even think it was possible. She, Miso, even the other veterans who were still alive, they were old-timers that were easily surpassed by this new generation. Even Tomina, who wasn't capable of much by the time they conquered Saiya was now fighting like a Titan and easily overshadowing Karota and Miso combined, as her fight with Flare proved.
"See? If you let explode it will never stop... This is what I'm talking about, kiddo! You shell you rage, your primal fury and everything that comes out is just... anger! Enough to turn into a super saiyan, that is true, but that won't be enough to become a Super Saiyan Two." she sighed, shaking her head. "And that's why we are here, sitting on the sidelines all the time! I have Super Saiyan Two, yes, because I lost everything once. And did I manage to ascend beyond it? No. I just managed to make my Super Saiyan 2 better. I can't go super saiyan 3 and that's not for lack of trying. Super Saiyan 3 requires something else. But I know any saiyan manages to become a Super Saiyan 2 should they have the power and the rage! So unleash your rage! I can definitely take it!" she stated with conviction.
"I wouldn't have taken you in as my student if I didn't believe you could become my successor. I want you to inherit my Wolf School, but in order to do so, you need to stop second guessing yourself! Make your rage your weapon, not your handicap!" she added.
A Saiyan’s spirit was much akin to a flame, usually bright and only growing if left unchecked. If you blew wind at it, it only burned brighter and hotter. If you overpowered it however, it would fizzle out. If you threw water at it: the it washed out and died, the wood soaked to the point that starting a new fire was not possible. Tarro’s spirit was starting to dwindle and fizzle, as his confidence was starting to fade. Did he really have what it takes to ascend anymore? It kept feeling like he was hitting a brick wall. And no matter how many times he tried to climb it he just ended up flat on his face. And now here he was, feeling defeated as he was on his knees, his head down.
Crushing the sand in his hands as he cursed everything, especially his own weakness, Tarro felt truly and utterly hopeless. How could he find himself worthy of Tomina when he couldn’t even evolve beyond a Super Saiyan? He could he find himself worthy of Karota’s respect? Maybe he wasn’t. Maybe it was all a mistake. But then Karota’s words got through to him. His eyes widened as he got off the floor, his head looking up at Karota, teal eyes staring at her as he tried to make sense of her words. Did he hold back his rage? Was he subconsciously trying to hold back? Was he scared of what would happen if he let himself feel it.. All of it at once?
And suddenly he realized.
“... Maybe you’re right…,” he muttered aloud to her.
“Perhaps I’ve.. or at least a part of me… is scared to let myself feel all at once. All the loss, the anger, like I did on Earth. When I killed Hotato… or at least almost did..
Perhaps I’m just scared of losing myself in that…,” he would admit as he stood up once more. His blonde hair would fade and revert back to the smooth black of the Saiyan’s base form. To do this he needed to start from the beginning. He needed to let his emotions free while they were at their most pure, and unaffected by the Super Saiyan transformation. He closed his eyes and began to think deeply as he entered a trance… he was meditating and focusing on all of the tragedy he felt in his heart. All the rage, all the despair, all the guilt. The rage he felt for those who had wronged them all. The despair brought on by so much loss. And the guilt for his failure to prevent any of it, and the guilt for his weakness making way for future losses. He focused on all of it and more…
Some Time Ago
“No… it’s gone! It’s all gone! We have to go back! There might still be survivors! Someone turn this ship around!” the wounded Tarro would shout as he banged on the window of the spaceship carrying him and some of the other wounded off the exploded Natto. With a large force he was beginning to crack on the glass… Tarro’s power rising uncontrollably as his fury and despair overwhelmed him. “You’re going to get us all killed Tarro! Stop! There’s nothing left! It’s all gone!” One of them would shout as they tried to hold him back. “No!” he roared with defiance as he shoved the guy off of him, the guy landing on his butt with a thud. Shaking his head to recover from the impact, the random Saiyan would call out to the others for assistance. They needed to restrain him. “Someone stop him! Everyone grab him!” The Saiyan would shout as Tarro continued throwing a tantrum, as he lost all sense of reason and logic in the wake of his shock and his fury. Several Saiyans all piled on top of him to hold him down. With his injuries and their overwhelming numbers - Tarro was powerless to do anything to push them off. “Let me go! Let me go, damn it! There could still be survivors!” The Saiyan Elite would continue to shout, as tears rushed down the sides of his face… As he felt truly powerless for the first time in his life.. But surely not the last time he would.
They sedated him right then and there, where he would sleep until they landed on a remote planet… Tarro tensed up as his power began to rise.. The weight of that loss, that guilt, and that rage overcoming him as he transformed into a Super Saiyan. His hair turning blonde once again with a surge of force and his aura overwhelming. His power began to rise… he felt it.. But it was a lot like bulking. This didn’t feel right… he had to keep pushing… he had to keep letting it all in. With a mighty roar.. Tarro began to tap into everything he had been suppressing since he had first been found by Tomina. That carnal rage inside of every Saiyan, that unspeakable fire inside of all of them. And right now it was much more akin to an inferno…. “Hah, get fucked you dumb shit!” Tarro shouted as he handled some scum from the Cerulean Empire. He had been cleaning out the low grunts for some time now. Even though he wasn’t a Super Saiyan… he knew he could handle this scum! “Who’s next!?” he would yell out cockily, ready for the next set of grunts to demolish. A shadow would appear behind him, letting out a heavy breath on the Saiyan’s skin, sending chills down Tarro’s spine. What the hell?
“How about me…” the monstrous voice would respond with a low, hushed growl. The predator had found the prey. Tarro found himself smacked aside like a ragdoll into some houses, groaning from pain. When the Saiyan opened his eyes… he saw none other than General Maraca, one of Caesar’s lead men!
Even he knew he was outclassed here by a mile. He needed to escape… But his legs were broken. Just from that one weak blow… pathetic. “Damn it!” the Saiyan soldier would curse under his breath. Was this how he was supposed to die? The monstrous Namekian was truly a horror to behold. He didn’t look natural in the slightest. Wings.. Those fangs. He was an abomination. He was more like a Demon. “End of the line for you.. Filthy Saiyan…,” Maraca muttered, before chuckling with a sadistic, insane ring to it. One could easily tell he was getting off on this. Sick bastard. Tarro hated him.
“Ugh… You won’t win, freak! Even if I die here… we’re still going to kill you all!” he yelled back, his words still holding defiance in his heart. He wasn’t about to go out like a punk. He was a Saiyan, and death was no consequence to him. He would at least go out with honor.
“Who’s we? You’ll be dead…,” he would say before beginning to charge a beam in his mouth. Tarro braced himself…. Knowing this was the end. Hopefully Komatsu and the rest of the Alliance wouldn’t fail. He entrusted the rest to them. Tarro closed his eyes to prepare for the end.
Maraca fired the beam from his mouth, the area exploding with critical force. But when Tarro opened his eyes… smoke filled the area.. But he felt nothing. Did Maraca miss? As his vision came into focus - he saw a figure in front of him. The more his vision cleared the more he began to realize who it was in front of him! His best friend… Arres! He had… taken the blast for him. Tarro gasped, having lost his breath from the shock. He couldn’t process this.
“Arres!” he screamed, bellowing out for his friend with concern. Could he? Could he be.. Dead? “Why?! I never asked for your help! I was fine with dying! How could you do this?!” he continued to holler and yell, shaking with resistance as he tried to put himself up. But his body was too broken. “You… always were the screw up… hah… ha…,” Arres laughed with a cough, panting heavily as the blast coursed through him. “I know you didn’t ask for my help… but you needed it. I wasn’t going to let you die… dumbass…
Who would I make fun of then?” Arres said, turning his back to Tarro with a smile. Tarro was trembling… tears flowing down his face. Why couldn’t he transform? Maybe if he was a Super Saiyan like them… this wouldn’t be happening. Maybe he could have saved them, or worked alongside them to win this fight…
He was dead weight. He was useless. “Take care of Aru for me...Don’t let her die here…,” he said, before coughing roughly as blood spewed from his mouth. He then fell.. Where he would never get up again. Tarro’s trembling only worsened, as grief overtook him like a tidal wave… Tarro’s power continued to rise as strands of his hair began to spike up with the rest, his body increasing in mass as a golden yellow aura continued to rise. Massive winds began to generate from the Super Saiyan as the very ground of the planet trembled beneath his power. The Katchin weights that were on his person blew off from the overflow of power as his power began to reach new heights. Tarro’s eyes turned pure white as he lost all semblance of coloration in them. His power was rising and it wasn’t stopping. The tears began to calm, but his screams did not. He continued to power up as yellow lightning sparks began to dance from his skin.
And still it continued to rise.. It was reaching critical. Tarro’s power began to rise as the anger and the sadness overfilled him back on Planet Natto. Meanwhile a familiar face entered the chaos. “Tarro what happened!? What i-... No…. No-No... ,” she said, seeing Arres lifeless body on the ground. Her eyes widened as she clutched her chest. She began to tremble… her power level flowing. Unlike Tarro… she wasn’t crying however. She was furious. “You bastard!” she cried out as she rushed at Maraca - her fist close to her chest as she launched a full powered punch at him.
Tarro meanwhile felt everything in him snap. His power began to grow as his hair began to change colors, swapping between black and blonde rapidly with each passing minute. His aura turning yellow as he felt it. He was transforming… This was his moment.
This was his ti-....
But he didn’t realize that Maraca had already shot him in the chest. Tarro continued to shriek as his power finally began to stabilize, his power rising and stabilizing, yellow lightning turned to blue as he finally ascended beyond his limitations. He had finally achieved Super Saiyan Two…
But it didn’t feel great. It wasn’t a rush of power like the first transformation. No it was something else entirely. Super Saiyan Two.. it was a rush of anger. The epitome of Saiyan rage. Tarro could feel it overwhelming him. The intensity of his anger was beyond anything he had ever known before. He stared over at Karota… but he didn’t say a word... The bastardly Namekian had blocked Captain Aru’s attack with one hand, and fired a finger beam with the other. Tarro coughed up blood… before falling down seemingly dead. Everything began to turn black for the almost Super Saiyan… but when he would wake later.. He would know he had failed his closest friend. He would know…
That he didn’t keep that promise… Arres’ last request…
“Master… does this transformation always hurt so much…. Is it always this intense...” he would mutter to her weakly… before lightning sparks would dance across his aura. The power felt great.. Beyond anything he had ever known.
But it carried such a heavy weight.. And a heavy sadness in his heart to get there. Only time would tell however.. Whether all that power was worth the heavy toll he had to pay to get there.

Her words had finally reached him and it was clear as daylight. Karota narrowed her feline eyes as she watched him get immersed by his own thoughts and painful memories. It was so intense she could almost feel it herself and while it concerned her he was diving deep into his deeper thoughts and pains until it happened. Tarro's ki exploded in a bright show of lightning and gold as he ascended to what many considered the real evolution of the base super saiyan form. Of course there were things like Super Saiyan 3 and 4, but those were not for everyone and Karota herself considered it more of a mutation than a natural evolution. Super Saiyan 2 was the real pinnacle for her and many others, and thus she chose to master it instead of trying to force herself to ascend to something she was quite confident she wouldn't be able to.
But the price... It was steep. And Tarro quickly realized that.
Karota sighed deeply before answering. "Just like the super saiyan form before it, you will have to master it. Otherwise, whenever you transform, you will feel this rage, this pain... This is the price of power, Tarro. But... You did it. You broke through the shell that was holding you down, that was holding and pruning your rage." she added.
The power, the electricity coursing through Tarro was immeasurable. He relished the power he felt coursing through him. Everything was heightened in this stage, just like when he went Super Saiyan for the first time, except it was even stronger now than back then. His sadness was despair. His anger was rage. His lust for battle was now insatiable.
He processed his master’s words as she explained to him that he was in fact going to feel this rage and this pain every time he transformed until he mastered the transformation like he did Super Saiyan. Lightning continued to dance off his form, the Super Saiyan Two fitting him like a glove. He felt so fast, so strong. Like he was invincible. “I can’t say the consequences aren’t worth it for this result… I feel incredible…,” he would say.
“There’s just one thing… I need a partner to test it out!” he hollered as he rushed at Karota with a flurry of strikes, his speed enhanced far beyond what it was before. He wondered if it would impress her. He wasn’t holding back.
This was more than a spar. This was a real battle. She was going to have to drop the kid gloves if she hoped to contain him.

His power was overwhelming, she had to give him that. If she was to continue fighting only at her super saiyan form she would be absolutely crushed and that made her giggle a bit, with a large smirk on her face as she made her aura expand and explode, screeching loudly like a thousand birds as the bio-electricity she generated scorched the ground beneath her feat. Her hair became far more spiked and her eyes sharped than ever, but Tarro knew her form already.
[Mastered Super Saiyan 2. PL: 13,139,463]
Her form was far stronger than Tarro's, but the gap between them were not huge anymore and even with the power difference, if she wasn't careful, she would be bested by her pupil, and she wasn't willing to go down in a fight against him, at least not yet. One thing she had already noticed, but now it was more evident than ever was Tarro's speed. It was greater than what you would expect from the average super saiyan, and now as a super saiyan 2 that trait was further enhanced. Luckily, she was the best saiyan sensor that had ever lived and she would be able to keep it up, as the fluctuation in his ki signature - though a faint trail - was one she had already caught a sniff at.
As he came with the flurry of blows, Karota chuckled. "Oh, Tarro... I thought you really wanted to test it out! Allow me to start, then... NEO... WOLF FANG FIST!!!" and without wasting any time, Karota darted at an overwhelming speed, with a full pack of wolfs appearing behind her as she closed in with her disciple. Before he could throw the flurry of blows, though, she was already throwing her massive assault, the pinnacle of mastering the Wolf School fighting style, the evolution of their signature technique.

Tarro said nothing as the commander powered up into her Super Saiyan Two form - of which was still quite a ways stronger than Tarro. Her power was still magnificent despite her complaints about her age catching up with her. She was still one of the stronger warriors in this Universe, even if those existed who could overshadow her. If she had been born a full-saiyan, then she’d have probably become an even stronger warrior than Miso himself. But alas even she had to hit her limits at some point… Even though those limits were still far above anything he was capable of right now
He merely gritted his teeth, clearly mad that she was still so far away. He had so far to go if he hoped to compete with her, Miso, Tomina, and Carva. His aura flared and enlarged as he prepared himself for what was to come. She intercepted his attack with her own, rushing at him super fast. It was amazing how fast the commander could attack... But thankfully for him…
He also knew a thing or two about speed.
Karota would seemingly strike at Tarro, her clawed hand seemingly penetrating the flesh of the younger Saiyan. But quickly she’d realize it was nothing more than a simple afterimage! Tarro would show up behind her with his hands clasped together to hammerfist her down into the ground! Thanks to the Super Saiyan Two form - he was fighting at a level faster than she was used to with him. It was probably the only time he would be able to get the drop on her like this however, as Karota was a quick adapter in battle.
But damn would it feel good if it hit… “Don’t underestimate me, master! I will show you that I too share Saiyan Pride! I will keep going until I can surpass you and Miso!”

Karota came in with all her fury, but Tarro showed that his speed was indeed something worth of praise; to think that he could out-speed her while she was using the furious flurry of slashes of the Neo Wolf Fang Fist was something not that many warriors could brag they have done in the past. But she was still an amazing sensor and her ki sensing ability detected Tarro just as he got ready to counter her. Karota crossed her arms and intercepted his sledgehammer. The force of the impact was amazing and left her arms quite sore and created a crater underneath her, as the ground couldn't really take the pure pressure of the attack. She smirked with the corner of her mouth and chuckled as she stared at him right inside his eyes. The sparkles of bio-electricity screeched on both their auras and scorched all the area around them with just how violent it was. "You were faster than me right now, so I could only block! How can you be so fast when I'm so much stronger, kiddo? I wasn't expecting that at all! This style definitely suits you!" she said as she leaped backwards to once again put some distance in between them, falling back into her fighting stance.
Suddenly, she sensed a very familiar power level approaching and glanced over to her left in search of it and she saw it: a child, big for her age, but still clearly not older than the age of 9 was approaching fast, flying with her light purple aura and a smirk to her face: it was her daughter.
"Mom! You promised you would let me watch you fight!! Why didn't you tell me that you were fighting?!" she asked with an angry pout. Karota took a deep breathe and responded. "I'm busy now, Tamari!" she reprimanded the child, but she didn't seem to care too much. "I'm just watching!" she protested, and Karota frowned her brows. "I don't want you to get in the crossfire, girl!" she insisted, but Tamari didn't seem to be willing to move, and since she was focusing on Tarro's training, she gave up and stared back to her disciple. "Well... Don't mind her." she said, and Tamari showed her tongue to Tarro and then chuckled with quite a lot of sass; it was hard to tell if she was more like her mother or father, but she definitely looked like a mixture of both.
Tarro was so used to being ineffective, to being useless. He was used to the fact that he lacked the power to truly faze his peers. When he first transformed into a Super Saiyan - he remembered not even being able to touch Tomina (who was in a lesser form at the time). When he fought against Carva - all he could really do was evade the Saiyan’s attacks and taunt him. Tarro had skill, but it was all useless against the overwhelming power of Carva’s Berserker Super Saiyan blood, coupled with the immunity to pain.
So it felt great to him when he managed to land a hit on his master. Even if she managed to block it and negate most of (if not all) the damage - Tarro was glad to have just made contact. It was progress for him. Before he couldn’t do anything as Karota’s power. But now with the chips evened a little - Tarro was holding his own! The desert planet shook from the power of their might. It was but a tiny dwarf planet after all. Karota seemed visibly impressed with him, asking how he could move so fast despite the power difference. “I’m quick on my feet, that’s all,” he would reply with a bit of a cocky smirk.
Unfortunately for him however he wasn’t going to be able to hurt her much while he kept on focusing on his speed. His power would rise a bit as he regulated his form back to its original state. Instead of increasing his speed he was choosing to focus on his standard self. Only then would he have a chance at throwing enough power to do some damage! “I’m sure your training had something to do with it…,” he said in response to the style fitting him. It was a cheeky response, but subtly filled with praise and respect for his teacher. It was then however that they were interrupted by the arrival of a young girl. She was bratty, and very loud. It took Tarro a few moments to process that she was actually the daughter of his teacher and the Commander Miso. She was… well big.
Tarro said nothing, staying quiet even as the little girl stuck her tongue at her. He only gave a small smirk as his gaze went from her daughter to Karota herself. “I wasn’t aware we were babysitting!” the Saiyan said, poking fun at the little girl’s presence. In this form Tarro’s confidence and smugness were exaggerated to new heights. “Make sure you don’t leave your crib, little one…,” he poked yet again as his smirk grew wider. That would likely get a rise out of the little one.
“Alright… here goes! NEO…. WOLF FANG….,” the Saiyan would begin to shout, as his energy rose incredibly yet again, electricity dancing off his body in wild spurts. Forming the signature wolf fang fist pose, with his dominant hand higher than other into claw shapes. His dominant leg outstretched and his body bending down in slight while his side faced Karota.
Energy was building… Would she be able to handle it?

Karota used to be considered quite the fast saiyan, above average, and now she was, well... Normal in terms of speed, despite her style heavily focusing on speed. Unlike Miso and Negi, or even Natto, who would gladly exchange speed for brute strength, she believed being overly strong but unable to hit an opponent was completely useless, a liability even. But then again, they managed to be somewhat successful in battle. Luckily for her there were others who favoured mobility rather than pure, brute strength, such as Nasu, her first student in a very long time, and Tarro, who was now, by far, the best, most suitable student of the Wolf School for as long as she could remember. "Nasu is a nimble and agile fighter, but you are quite something, kiddo! To be honest, you are likely the best student I've ever had. But don't get cocky because of that! Hehehe!" she said with a large smirk. "Laaaaame!" Tamari protested, rolling her emerald eyes in annoyance, prompting Karota to glare at her child, who just giggled and folded her arms. "Come on, mommy! Beat him up! Hihihihi! I want to see some blood!" and despite her playful manners, Tamari was quite the savage saiyan, and her comments were enough to reveal her nature.
But she had no time to focus on her child right now, as Tarro came with the ferocity of the Neo Wolf Fang Fist, showing he had already mastered it with the intensity of training. Karota arched her brows and widened her eyes as she did her best to try and counter it by blocking the blows she knew where they aimed for, but Tarro was swift and precise and after a few blocked blows, she fell victim to her own technique and was sent flying away, hitting her back on a mountain and piercing right through it, like a rocket. "Wow! That was awesome!! Hey, you!" she shouted, approaching Tarro a bit with awestruck eyes. "My daddy said you were a maggot, but you are pretty strong too! Is that because you two are super saiyan sparkles?! I wonder! I can only go super saiyan normal!" she said with quite a hyped tone.
Shortly after she spoke, though, Karota's ki energy exploded in a loud screech of lightning and blinding lights. Her aura vaporized the entire moment and that came with a guttural roar from her fury. The saiyaness floated, showing some injuries, but nothing that could really faze her. "That hurt like a bitch, but hey, you did it! I'm almost out of things to teach you, kiddo! Hehe!" she said as she made her way back to the place they were fighting at.
The wild torrent of blows was unimaginable. He found himself moving with such great speed that it was no wonder that Karota was a bit caught off guard. Normally one’s dodging speed wasn’t on par with their combat speed. One exerted energy to move faster than normal to evade attacks, but here he was exerting that same energy while keeping his melee focus on her in close range! It felt invigorating. He loved this technique. The aura of the wolf stood true as he clawed and clawed at Karota with everything he had. She held her ground well in blocking the blows with a cross guard, but eventually he wore her down and got on through! The remaining strikes collided straight through her torso, with the final power strike colliding and knocking and piercing right into a mountain! He laughed with a glee that was subtle with a bit of sadism. This form definitely brought out a bit more of his darkness. He didn’t wish Karota ill will, it was simply just the adrenaline and pride in his own power overshadowing his concern for her well being.
To him inflicting pain was an honor in this state. “Give it time… I’m sure someday I’ll prove even faster than Nasu himself…,” Tarro said with a grin, his ambition clearly showing. He knew he would never be stronger or more powerful or more skilled then Nasu. But goddamnit one of these days he was going to learn to move faster than he did! He didn’t care how long it took. That was going to be the thing he prided himself on. It was the only notable thing about him, and it always had been. He had been the fastest among his old Squad, and he wouldn’t stop trying to get faster even if it killed him.
People came back from the dead after all apparently…
Turning his head to the little girl cheering them on, Tarro couldn’t help but laugh at her changed tune. “Had a change of heart about me, eh? Your mom isn’t a pushover though… I’ve still got a ways to go. And yes, we’re both at the Ascended State… Though most of us just call this Super Saiyan Two” he said earnestly. He frowned however at the next words out of her mouth. He always suspected that Miso didn’t like him, but to have confirmation of it. That was another thing entirely. “So your mate doesn’t approve of me, I suppose? What’s he think about you training me then?” Tarro would say to Karota as she got her bearings from the Neo Wolf Fang Fist.
He was also surprised that such a little tyke could go Super Saiyan. It was eerie how many Super Saiyan existed this day. It was starting to feel less… super. “Is that so? I better be careful, before you end up surpassing me!” he would say to the girl with a smirk. She was strong for her age. He had to be careful, or that joke really would be a concern. Nothing more humiliating than being outdone by a child. He needed to keep training…
He wasn’t going to let himself be done. There were limits to what he could endure. “You know what comes next… The Spirit Ball… We both know I’m ready…,” he would say, not wanting to beat around the bush. He knew he was ready, and he was more than eager to learn the technique. It’s tactical advantages would suit him greatly, both for himself and for using to support others (mainly Tomina). The technique’s trickiness made it ideal for supporting an ally in battle who was charging a devastating technique.

"Faster than Nasu? Hehe... That's what I call aiming high!" she commented as she cracked her neck to both sides, feeling all sore and numb from the powerful attack. When he addressed Tamari, she just giggled a bit more. "Super saiyan 2 is booooooooooooooring! Sparkles is soooooo much better!" and she was clearly having fun with the whole situation, and Karota was more at easy now that she was kind of behaving better than she expected. When he talked about Miso, she just rolled her eyes in their orbits. "Miso does not like most people, but he has nothing personally against you. As a matter of fact, he respects you for fighting Hotato back on Earth. He calls everyone a maggot, even Nasu." she said and Tamari had fun with that. "Maggoooooot!" the little girl teased.
"And the style is mine to teach to whoever I want. Miso doesn't even know it. He never bothered learning it though. I don't think it would fit him either, but this little one is quite keen on learning it!" she said and the girl giggled and nodded her head a few times in excitement. "And I will surpass you all! Even Nasu!" she said with a confident smile.
Tarro wanted to advance further and he believed he was ready for the spirit ball. Tamari pouted at that and stared at her mother. "Moooooom! You didn't even teach me that yet!" she complained, but Karota was more firm now. "Silence now! We are training! You will learn it in time." and now that her tone was more serious, the child shut her mouth. Then, Karota stared back at Tarro and nodded. "Yes, you are ready. This is a tricky one though." she started explaining. The saiyaness held the wrist of her right arm and opened her right palm. "You need to channel the energy with all your ki, but unlike normal attacks, you cannot focus solely on forming an energy sphere. You need to keep it connected by tiny ki strings to your hands and that's why you need both your hands to perform it. The Spirit Ball does not lock on the ki signature of the foe, but rather is controlled by you. And that's what makes it even better than a normal chasing technique." she explained, waiting for him to try before giving further directions.
Tarro simply scoffed back at Karota for putting down his ambition. “Better remember it. Someday you’ll be telling grandkids of the time Tarro outsped the Saiyan King Nasu. Speed isn’t just about power level….,” he said with a grin, his response held with a bit of cheekiness in it. He was confident in his goal. He’d prove himself the fastest Saiyan in the Universe. He didn’t care what it took. He would find a way to reach his goal. The confidence boost afforded to him in his Super Saiyan Two form didn’t help his ego. He looked over at Tamari with a chuckle at her childish banter. “You can call it that if you want…,” he said with a laugh. Tarro thought the kid was a brat, but also kind of funny at the same time. He couldn’t help but get along with her.
Tarro let out an audible “tch” sound as Karota explained Miso to him. “Well he certainly has a funny way of showing it. All the same I’ll prove to him that I can surpass him… and by extension you. Don’t think because you’re my teacher that I’m content being under you forever... ,” he said, this time his laughter only growing louder and a bit more wicked sounding. That was Super Saiyan Two for him… it really boosted his ego and lacked his subtlety. The young Super Saiyan certainly didn’t plan on sticking to this level forever. In fact he was already looking forward to mastering it… and ascending past it. He wouldn’t let anything stop him! Not anymore. He was finally coming into himself as a fighter. And with that would come an explosion of power. He could feel it.
He stuck his tongue at Tamari after she teased him by calling him maggot, albeit it was subtly playful. He wasn’t really mad, just fighting back. Turning his attention back to Karota with a nod, Tarro grinned once more, “Alright then. Fair enough. She’s got some power for her age. If Nasu’s not careful she might just pull it off… haha,” Tarro laughed once more with that slight cheer in his voice. How was it that a man who lost so much could still laugh like that? Even he didn’t quite understand it.
Watching with excitement as Karota finally agreed to teach him the Spirit Ball, Tarro was very focused on Karota’s movements. He ignored Tamari this time, only focused on the Spirit Ball itself this time. He was too excited. He listened very very intently as it was explained to him. He quickly mimicked Karota’s pose for the Spirit Ball… channeling his power flow through him. It was different from forming normal attacks? That seemed strange to him. He knew how to apply a chaser effect… was this really that different? So it was completely controlled by the user through subtle attachments to the ball invisible to the eye? And so it needed two hands to form and control. That certainly sounded like a complex technique.
No wonder it was so unique. He began to focus energy into the palm of his hand and created an intense ball of ki, similar to the one he had seen Nasu and Karota form several times.
“Okay… so I made the ball. Now how the hell do I control it?” he would ask… He wasn’t quite sure what to do now.
