The gash in Komatsu's chest hurt almost as bad as the wounds inflicted on him back then... however just like then, he needed to push through the pain. The game he was playing was an extremely dangerous one, but if he wanted to win without having to use that, then he was going to have to continue playing this game.
Komatsu heard Jie Shan's exclamation of excitement towards the battle and nodded. At the same time, the spear he had been charging suddenly grw longer and wider. Komatsu didn't budge however as he continued to fuel energy into the attack. He needed more power...
"Well, I don't think it'll be much of a challenge if you continue to hold back. I"m not afraid to kill you if it comes to it... but your movements suggest that you're hesitating. Is it because of my age? Or is it because of my brother? Whatever the reason i'm serious, you can't hold back any ounce of your power!" Komatsu taunted Jie Shan as he widened his stance slightly. To those watching, the fight would seem to of have gotten rather dull as both captains stared off against one another, charging their techniques only feet away from one another. It looked like both of them were hesitant to hit each other now.
Only thing was, Komatsu really did want Jie Shan to hit him with everything he had.

The two fighters were still studying each other. Jie Shan tried to attack Komatsu with his sword, but the younger saiyan managed to avoid his attack. It was an interesting fight to say the least and everyone was silently watching it as they didn’t want to lose a second of it; a blink could define the outcome of this battle, and Komatsu was on the losing side. Then, the two of them started charging their techniques again and that made Nasu sigh. ”The hell is he thinking?! He already lost at this game before! He can’t generate the same energy output as Jie Shan… Dammit, Komatsu! Are you insane?!” Nasu twitched a bit as he started getting angry with his brother’s attitude. Miso was laughing in excitement as his scouter detected the power output of both fighters and he bragged about how much money he would make when Jie Shan finally won.
Karota was also serious; she seemed to be tense too, but not as much as Nasu. Truth be told, Nasu didn’t know who he wanted to won this fight right now. In the past the answer would be clearly Jie Shan, but after his final training with his brother, he was starting to have doubts. But one think was crystal clear to the Overseer: he didn’t want anyone of them to die. No matter the outcome of the battle, they were both powerful assets to the Saiyan Alliance, and losing any of them would be a heavy blow he was not willing to take. ”If it comes to that…” Nasu mused, trying to think about what he would do. It was a tricky situation, as there was plenty of people watching the fight, and thinking about it made him growl a bit. ”Dammit, Komatsu! Do something other than being a walking punch bag!” he thought to himself, angered.

Jie Shan blinked. Was this kid suicidal? No, thought Jie Shan, this kid was just a Saiyan. Jie Shan watched as the bright spear of energy that the young captain was wielding was growing more and more powerful. Impressive, Jie Shan told himself, but the boy could not keep up with Jie Shan's own output of energy. And Jie Shan wasn't even fighting at one hundred percent. As it stood, he was fighting at maybe a third, give or take, of his maximum potential. If he actually chose to go above and beyond his current state, Jie Shan would surely destroy the boy. And he would be loathe do that.
"You don't know what you're asking for, kid," shouted Jie Shan, "I'm not going all out because I don't want to hurt you that badly! I don't give a damn who your brother is! You might not be afraid to kill me, but I'm afraid of killing you! And it's not because of your age! It's because I don't think this is worth taking a life over!"
The power in Jie Shan's blade was crackling like mad. Damn it, he cursed mentally, if he kept up this rate of charge, his blow would kill he boy for sure. And that is exactly what he was trying to avoid. With a sigh, Jie Shan raised the blade above his head, twisting it once again so that flat of the blade was facing the boy. Somehow he doubted this would be enough to knock the child out. Freaking fullbloods, he told himself, always pushing things too far. Of course, Jie Shan was still enjoying himself. But as the fight grew increasingly one sided, he was slowly growing more unsure as to whether or not this was a good idea. Damn, he thought, maybe it wasn't. He was going toe to toe with a kid. Albeit, one of the most power kids in the universe, but still just a kid.
"You fullbloods need to learn that you still have limits!" He cried as he brought the ki-lightning enhanced blade down towards the boy. His blow was right on target to bisect the spear of energy the boy was holding, or at least interrupt its flight path. Jie Shan was almost certain the boy would launch the ki missile. If he didn't, there was little chance he could hold the charge after taking such an attack.
Jie Shan just hoped that the boy would finally see sense.

Not once did Komatsu lose his grin as he faced off against Jie. He knew that his spears power paled in comparison to what Jie Shan was charging up. That was perfectly fine with him. His Spear could take out most of the damage the thing would inflict... but it would still leave another hell of a mark. Since he hadn't healed from his first attack, this was going to put the young saiyan in a tough spot.
'That's fine... I don't think any of them understand what's going on. Heh, thanks for the idea Nasu.' Komatsu thought to himself as he thought back to the conversation he had with his brother regarding super saiyans. Nasu had told him then, that after Komatsu had blasted him to an inch of his life... he was able to heal with a magical bean from Earth. After he had healed, he had come out of it stronger. It was an ability that saiyan's possessed that Komatsu was familiar with, as it played a huge part as to why he was as strong as he was today.
He almost wanted to laugh at Jie Shan's hesitation to hit him. He really didn't see the younger saiyan's strategy? Sure it was a hell of a stupid one, but damn it he needed that extra power! There was no way he was going to beat Jie Shan like this... at least, not as he was now.
"You're strong Captain, but I know exactly what it is that I'm asking for. Stop holding back damn it! It's insulting!" Komatsu finally cried out at Jie Shan in hopes to get him to use everything he had. Jie Shan then responded by reminding Koma that he had limits, and he just laughed at that.
"Then let's break those limits shall we!?" He taunted further just as Jie Shan brought his lightning blade down towards him. Komatsu grit his teeth in preparation for what was to come as he released his own spear towards Jie Shan. The tip of his energy spear pushed so forcefully against Jie's own attack it managed to pierce through the lightning arcing around it, though didn't make it much further before, once more, Jie Shan completely overtook his attack. The spear seemed to explode as the energy was dissipated, and Jie Shan's blade hit Komatsu, lightning arcing down and shocking him!
Komatsu gasped as pain coursed through his body though grit his teeth to stop himself from crying out in pain! It was almost like that time he was being burned back in the Empire, only the power behind this was much, much worse! He would quickly lose feeling in his legs as Komatsu collapsed against the ground with a thud. He would clench his fists tightly, screwing his eyes tightly shut as every now and then, lightning would arc off of the young saiyans body. You could see multiple burn marks from the lightnings damage across his body as more blood covered his bare chest.
He had to take in a deep breath as his right hand flew to the open gash in his chest. He wanted to speak, to make some sort of cheeky remark in regards to Jie Shan's power, but found himself unable to say anything. In fact, he couldn't do much of anything... his vision was blurry and it felt like none of his muscles were co-operating with him. Well, this would all be for naught if he passed out, so now was as good a time as any.
As Komatsu lay crumpled against the ground, a light red glow would cover the young boy's body, growing brighter and brighter until Komatsu's ki suddenly seemed to flare up angrily around him! The marks on his body began to heal and fade away, the open gash in his chest would heal up bit by bit, and energy would quickly pour back into his body. He took in a deep breath that sounded more like a gasp as Komatsu pushed himself up off of the ground with a groan. Any lingering injuries would soon heal up as well right before Jie Shan's eyes.
"Ug... that stung. Damn Captain... It's still hard to believe you're still holding back on me... Oh, and in regards to 'us purebloods', maybe you should pay more attention to your saiyan lineage, and you would have easily caught onto to why I was baiting you." Komatsu would state as he moved his neck left and right, cracking it and even rotating his shoulders to get limbered up once more. His ki would flare up around him once more as his smirk widened. This had to of have worked...
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" He cried out as he charged up his new found energy, if any.

Jie Shan finally fired his attack and it was madly powerful. Luckily, Komatsu had been charging his own attack as well, and that allowed them to clash and it ended up reducing the energy output, leaving a far weaker version of Jie’s attack heading towards the young saiyan. Komatsu was severely injured and if he wasn’t taken care of he would die. Nasu sighed deeply and shook his head. ”Fool… You fought a battle using a stupid strategy… A strategy with zero chance of success…” he thought to himself, feeling that this battle was pretty much over. Miso started laughing out loud and slapped his leg. – Hehehe! I won! Heh! You are now staring at a rich saiyan! Hehehe! Someone should better get the brat into a healing pod, or he is going to die again! – he said in a jokingly tone. Not that he didn’t care if Komatsu died, he was just sure he could be saved in time, so there was no use getting worked out on that.
Karota sighed. – It’s not over. Actually, the kid was smart. Look at the arena. – She said, and Miso stared at her with surprise. –Uhn?! – he muttered as he stared back at the arena. Nasu narrowed his eyes and saw Komatsu using that healing technique and quickly recovering from all of his wounds. As soon as he did that, his power level rose and surpassed even Miso and Karota’s own power level. Nasu cracked a mischievous grin on his face and chuckled a bit. – Tricky bastard… - he commented and Karota smiled too. Miso, on the other hand, gritted his teeth and folded his arms again, snorting in annoyance. – Bastard! He used that opportunity to activate his Zenkai! Didn’t know the kid had the balls… Still, he is weaker than Jie Shan! It won’t change anything! Jie Shan will just have to beat him down again! – he said in an irritated tone. Karota stared at him with the corner of her eyes and chose to say nothing. Out of all of them, she was probably the only one who knew about Komatsu’s little secret and she wouldn’t spoil the fun of the surprise.
”He is stronger now, but Jie’s offensive potential is even greater than mine in base form. There’s just no way Komatsu will win. He improved his chances, true, but not nearly enough!” Nasu thought to himself, wondering what other aces his brother had up his sleeves.

Jie Shan’s attack met the young captain's, the two of them meeting in a flurry of energy. His own blade bit through the boy’s ki spear and the brilliant light of it exploded outward. Jie Shan grit his teeth and kept on pushing his own attack forward. He still had the upper hand, he still had some power after that class and damn him, he intended to press it. He pushed on through and smacked the captain with the flat of his blade. Jie Shan’s satisfaction rose as he felt the dull thud of the blade make contact with Komatsu’s skull. He must have a thick head, Jie Shan thought to himself, just like his brother. The ki electricity ran through his foe.
Maybe, he thought, he had overdone it. Jie Shan watched as burn marks sprouted on his foe's body and how his foe was reduced to a quivering mass on the ground. Jie Shan cursed beneath his breath. That was too far. But at least the boy was surely down and out. Jie Shan let loose a sigh of relief.
Or so he thought. The boy was not done yet. Jie Shan took up his blade once again as he watched the boy glow with a crimson red aura. Jie Shan stepped back just a little as the boy pushed himself to his feet, and Jie Shan’s eyes narrowed as he watched the very wounds fade from his foe's chest. This guy, thought Jie Shan, was insane.
His foe spoke of Saiyan heritage and how Jie Shan should have paid it more mind. Jie Shan’s eyes narrowed as it slowly dawned on him: the zenkai. This kid, he told himself, was letting Jie Shan smack him around so he could gain more power. And it seemed to have worked. The boy certainly felt stronger.
“Well,” said Jie Shan, “I certainly didn't expect you do that. The zenkai… It certainly takes a rather, er, creative mind to use it that way. I see you're quite the risk taker, Captain. I hope it was worth it. Risking your life and all that.”
Jie Shan could feel an anger building in him. This kid, he thought. This stupid kid would just not give up. Jie Shan was trying and trying to make this go quickly. He did not want to kill the boy! But it might not matter what he wanted. Komatsu seemed ready to push himself to death for this. Jie Shan had to admire his tenacity. He certainly wanted this. And so did Jie Shan, but he’d been in it for the fun of a fight. And finally, it seemed the fight was moving from fun to deadly. Jie Shan grimaced. He had to put a stop to this.
“Alright, Captain. You’ve proven a worthy foe. Maybe my most worthy yet. But this is getting too serious, too quickly,” explained Jie Shan as he moved himself into a wide stance, “So, forgive me when I say I want to end this before both of us end up dead on the ground. But it's time for me to show you my real strength!”
Jie Shan reached deep inside him, tugging at that hidden power. His gray aura flowed around him like a flame as that primal part of him came alive. Slowly, his power turned from gray to dull yellow. And for a moment, it seemed to flicker a bright gold. But only for a moment. Damn, he thought, he was on the edge of something big. He could feel it, something powerful and dangerous stirring in the depths of his heart. His blood surged. Almost. Just a little more… But he didnot reach that plateu that had been hovering just before him. No matter, he thought, this was more than enough.
The dull yellow aura raged and Jie Shan knew he was at his maximum. “There you have it, Captain,” exclaimed Jie Shan, “I’m not holding back any longer!”
Jie Shan pointed the blade at his foe, and let his aura speak for itself. Maybe, he hoped, the boy would see clearly now and surrender. But he knew that would be too good to be true. He’d have to be careful from here on out. The boy was sure to attack him, and Jie Shan needed to mind his strength.

Komatsu's heart felt like it would beat right out of his chest! The adrenaline rushing through his veins was making him tremble slightly. This was so exciting! He had new power in his veins, he had an opponent that proved to be an insane challenge, and he could hear the crowd's exclamation of surprise. It seemed, even though Komatsu was the one getting beat around, he was earning some form of respect from some of the saiyans.
Whenever Jie Shan looked at him with that narrow eyed look, Komatsu only grinned as his aura continued to rage around him.
"Please, you were holding back! You don't want to kill me, so you would have made sure I didn't die, regardless of how serious my injuries were! Yeah it was a gamble, but you're an easy read." He said tauntingly as he braced himself back into his fighting stance as he just continued to smirk. Whenever Jie spoke again though and spoke about showing his real strength, KOmatsu grew curious. Just how strong was he? How much power had he been holding back this entire time? Was his grab at Zenkai even worth it? Nasu had said they were pretty evenly matched, so his power up couldn't be that significant could it?
He stayed still as he waited, he wanted to see this power, but as Jie Shan's yellow aura picked up around him, Komatsu raised an eyebrow. Was he able to become a super saiyan!? This entire time he was holding THAT power back? He even noticed streaks of gold taint his aura and Komatsu just watched him closely, waiting for the sudden change. However, that change never came. His power settled at a very impressive amount and Komatsu couldn't help the pout that crossed his lips.
"You know, that would of saved me a whole lot of trouble and pain if you would of just done that in the first place! No wonder they think I can't win... where the hell did that come from!?" Komatsu asked, whistling as he was extremely impressed by the power Jie Shan could summon in his base form! His Zenkai gain had been totally pointless! His strategy was just thrown out the window and stomped on. He found himself legitimately insulted, and he lost his smirk, frowning towards Jie Shan.
" I guess we've both been holding back... let's stop playing games then, shall we? " Komatsu asked seriously as he sprang up from his fighting stance, darting towards Jie Shan. At first it seemed like he was going in for another suicide missin, but all of a sudden his aura ignited from red to gold, and his hair spiked up even further as it suddenly switched to a golden color. If Jie Shan was still looking into his eyes, he would find them swiftly changing to teal as Komatsu's own power level sky rocketed.
PL 1,861,834
Komatsu's fists and feet glowed red as he charged Jie Shan with near blinding speeds! He wasn't goint to hold back anything! He had enough of being made a mockery of, it was time to end this game of theirs. Komatsu swung his fist directly for Jie Shan's gut, his left hand reading up to grab at the wrist holding his sword so he could move it out of the way.
{Spoiler}{(OT-2) Atomic Strike}This ability focuses Ki into a two of the users limbs, creating a faint red glow around the limb being infused with the attack. The user has to physically strike an opponent or an object to release this powerful energy which is released in a powerful blast. The resulting explosion from the blast is strong enough to break armor and push the two opponents away from each other.

Jie Shan raised an eyebrow in curiosity as the young captain spoke while his aura raged around him. Jie Shan was an easy read? He was not quite sure how to feel about that. And he was not quite sure if the captain was wrong about that. Jie Shan, admittedly, wore his heart on his sleeve. And he took no shame in it. If it meant that it made it obvious he was not a child killer, he was glad to be an easy read. Killing kids was really not something that Jie Shan wanted people to think of him, mistakenly or not.
Even after he transformed, the boy still continued his almost energetic speech. Jie Shan would have saved him a lot of trouble? That was interesting, thought Jie Shan, because the boy would have saved him a lot of trouble if he'd just given up in the first place. And the boy asked where it came from. Jie Shan smirked. He wasn't even quite sure of the answer himself.
"Beats me. I guess it's just one of the perks of being me. There's a lot of those, you know," chuckled Jie Shan, his serious demeanor breaking for just a moment, "But anyway, I digress. You really should just give up."
But the boy wouldn't. Jie Shan already knew the answer to that. But he had not even hazarded a guess as to what was coming next. He claimed that he had been holding back as well. What, thought Jie Shan, that could not be. Did the boy have his own inner power? Jie Shan was not quite sure. Komatsu had proven unpredictable so far. Jie Shan held his blade up higher, unsure of what was coming next. And what came next surprised him, shocked him even.
The boy dashed at him again. Jie Shan rolled his eyes. Was the boy trying to die? Jie Shan carefully shifted his blade to the flat side, but something was wrong. In a flash, the aura of his foe changed from red to gold. What, thought Jie Shan, the hell was going on? The boy's hair spiked and ran from black to gold. His eyes became an energetic teal. Jie Shan's mind boggled as he realized just how much the boy's energy was increasing. It increased over ten times fold. And finally, the realization hit Jie Shan: he was fighting a Super Saiyan. His jaw dropped ever so slightly.
But then he shook his head. There was no time to waste, no time to gawk. Mental discipline, he reminded himself, even in battle. The Soy School had taught him that much. He needed to move, now, or else he'd be getting a face full of certain death.
Ki flooded his muscles. The Super Saiyan moved quickly, but not quickly enough. Jie Shan used his ki enchanced state to burst up and around the boy, and ended up behind him. The boy would only find an afterimage in his place, that he surely quickly turned to nothing.
Jie Shan's chest heaved. He was exhausted, that move taking more out of him than he had realized. Perhaps, he told himself, that had been a poor choice. There was no way to defend himself now. If the boy pressed his advantage, Jie Shan would be in a lot of trouble. But now that the boy had become a Super Saiyan... There was a strange mixture of emotion working its way through Jie Shan's heart. Excitement at the prospect of facing such a powerful foe was one such emotion that was working its way through him right now. And the other emotion was... anger. Or maybe desperation. The boy was a Super Saiyan and Jie Shan was not. Jie Shan had been working too damn hard to lose to this boy, Super Saiyan or not. His entire life, he'd been working hard. Working hard for other people, always playing by somebody else's rules, having things taken away from him because it suited their needs. And now, the boy had snatched the glory of becoming a Super Saiyan in-front of the crowd away from him. And, what was more, it seemed that the boy would be taking his shot an counselorship away too. And Jie Shan had had enough of being pushed around.
He pointed his blade straight at the boy. "I see," growled Jie Shan, "You're a Super Saiyan. I'd not been expecting this. But I guess I can finally stop holding back."
Jie Shan smirked. He felt arrogant, prideful. And he only hoped that they would not prove to be his downfall.

Even with his recover, Jie Shan was still the stronger warrior and now more than ever, since he had decided to go all out and use his mysterious hybrid’s power boost, flaring his dull yellow ki aura. Karota narrowed her eyes and cracked a subtle grin, almost like she was expecting something extraordinary to happen at any time now. Miso became slightly happier now, since Komatsu’s chance of winning just dropped absurdly and he even chuckled again. Nasu, on the other hand was quite concerned and thinking about his brother’s strategy. ”I didn’t expect he would try to use Zenkai to change the tides… But not even Zenkai was enough. Still, with his current power, transforming into a super saiyan should be an easier task. But… Will he manage to find a trigger? This anger he feels isn’t enough. Of course he could train hard and unlock the ascended state, but during this fight, if he doesn’t fall into despair I doubt he will be able to turn… So, what’s wrong? What am I missing?! It doesn’t make sense he feels so confident and keeps on asking Jie Shan to go all out now that he already reached his Zenkai. There’s no way his body could do it again today, even if he somehow managed to recover from some life threatening injury.” Nasu wondered, unable to read his brother strategy and that was starting to annoy him. The young Overseer of the Saiyan Alliance started hammering his arm with his fingers, growing impatient with this fight.
And then it happened. As Jie Shan got closer to him, Komatsu said that they should stop playing games. ”He has some ace under his sleeve! But what?! What could he do to turn the tides in his favor?” Nasu asked himself, unable to come up with a proper answer, and that’s when it started. Komatsu’s ki aura changed from red to gold and his hair grew spiked and glowing in a golden hue. His eyes turned teal and his aura became fiery-like. He had ascended into a Super Saiyan and, by the looks of it, by the way he tapped into the transformation almost at will showed Nasu that this wasn’t the first time he had done that. ”W-what?! He is a super saiyan?!” he gulped, irritated by this surprise. Nasu felt a drop of sweat running down his temple as he gritted his teeth.
Miso’s jaw dropped for a couple seconds as his brains processed what was going on and, when he finally got back to his senses, he roared. – How the fuck did this brat transform into a super saiyan like that?! He doesn’t even seem mad!! – the older saiyan seemed insurgent, and Karota chuckled. – I was starting to wonder when he would do that, hihi! – she said in a sly tone. Miso and Nasu immediately turned towards her. The second didn’t say a word, but the first did. – The fuck do you mean by that?! Explain! – he demanded an answer. Karota just shrugged. – I can go through the details once the battle is done, but right now I don’t want to miss a thing, so don’t bother me. Both of you! – she said with a quite teasing grin. Miso growled in irritation, but Nasu decided to silently get back to watching the fight with a more serious expression on his face.
The moment the young Overseer stared back at the arena, Komatsu was already reacting to Jie’s charge with a powerful Atomic Strike. ”Now Jie Shan is in trouble. I wonder if this will get to his nerves enough so that he can even the odds. Still… To think this brat was already a super saiyan and didn’t tell me a thing! That’s annoying!” Nasu thought to himself, snorting as he did so.

His fist soared through the air, seeming to hit Jie Shan though with a lack of resistance, Komatsu knew that the older saiyan had managed to dodge him! That's what he got for trying to go easy on his opponent. He wouldn't miss again... imagine how stupid he would look if he lost to Jie Shan now that he was a Super Saiyan! The games would have to come to an end, and Komatsu would really have to kick himself into gear. Jie Shan's power, even in base form was impressive, and even though Komatsu's power now towered over his, he couldn't underestimate him.
As both of his strikes missed their intended target Komatsu was quick to spin on his toes, reaching out with his ki sense to feel just where it was that Jie Shan had moved too.
"I told you not to hold back from the beginning." It was easy for him to feel his large power appear behind him and so without a second thought Komatsu fired a basic ki blast to try and catch Jie Shan off guard, using it as cover as he darted from his position towards Jie in yet another frontal assault. This time, he wasn't going to use any technique, he was just going to beat the shit out of him until he had saved up enough energy to finish him off. If Komatsu could get close enough to Jie Shan, he would attempt a similar manoever as he had earlier, one hand grabbing the hand holding his sword while the other would hit him hard in the gut.
~~~ Up in the stands, even Kyuri's jaw dropped as she watched the fight between the two saiyans. She hadn't said a word the entire time, too unsure of the situation to make an accurate assessment of anything. Koma had seemed so sure of himself before the match, that she could feel he had something up his sleeve. Although, she thought whenever Koma summoned the power of Zenkai, that had been his end game the entire time. How had she not known Komatsu was able to become a Super Saiyan? The way he transformed just now suggested that he had done it before. He seemed to be in fair control of his rage...
<< Alright, who witheld this information? I've got eyes and ears on the whole damned planet! >> Kyuri would silently accuse her two apprentices, using her internal scouters to silently communicate with them.
<< We're sorry ma'am! but the footage was destroyed shortly after we were able to review it! We figured it would make the fight interesting for you! >> The hybrid saiyan responded, her finger on the button of her scouter. She could hear Kyuri growl at the other end, and sighed when threatened with a reprimand.
Kyuri was embarrassed to say the least...
Jie Shan had not bought himself any time at all. It was not long before the Super Saiyan captain had rounded on him. Dammit, thought Jie Shan, this guy was quick. And strong This was not the first time that Jie Shan had battled a Super Saiyan. Funnily enough, Jie Shan's first spar with a Super Saiyan had been with the young captain's older brother. What goes around, Jie Shan told himself, comes around. It seemed as if their whole family was a crazy bunch of Super Saiyans. The brothers, their uncle, Hell, even their parents had been Super Saiyans. Quite the legacy compared to Jie Shan's own bloodline: an upstart, overblown Saiyan whose ego was too big for his own good, and a vagrant Elemi blade for hire. Compared to them, Jie Shan was lucky to be as strong as he was. But he wasn't satisfied.
The Super Saiyan threw a ki blast at him, a simple ball of ki. But it was strong. Far too strong. Jie Shan threw his arms up to protect himself, but it was not enough. The ki crashed into Jie Shan and it washed over him. Pain overcame his senses. This, he thought, was serious. He was dancing with death. His chest rised and fell rapidly, but he'd get no quarter.
The Super Saiyan was on him. In one hand, the Super Saiyan gripped his blade and with the other the captain slammed his fist in Jie Shan's stomach. His stomach surged and he felt as if he was going to vomit. His vision blurred. The tables had turned quickly, way too quickly. He could not keep up with a Super Saiyan.
"Damn you," mumbled Jie Shan, "Damn you!" His anger rose, and sparks began to course through his hair. His Elemi blood was acting up. The rage... It was building in him, like a flood pushing at the gates of his mind. His body shook, in pain and anger. In a desperate move, Jie Shan pursed his lips and quickly reared his head back and attempted to slam it into the head of his foe.
Komatsu’s Atomic Strike hit Jie Shan’s afterimage, saving the hybrid from some serious damages. ”Fast, but this took tools on his body. He is panting now.” Nasu noticed in silence. Miso boasted the fact that Jie Shan managed to dodge his attack, laughing loud, almost like he was trying to shadow his nervousness. – Hehehehe! See?! Jie Shan can fight against a super saiyan! He has that crazy power! Komatsu’s attack accomplished nothing! Hehehe! – the older saiyan said, only to be cut by Karota. – Don’t be a fool, Miso. Jie Shan had to use quite a lot of energy to dodge that attack alone. Now he is in a pretty bad shape. You would need to be blind not to see it. – the saiyaness said in a serious tone, and Miso just mumbled to himself, irritated, losing his smile just as fast as it appeared on his face.
Kyuri didn’t say a word, but it was clear she was surprised. Karota stared at her, almost like she was capable of reading her frustration; she knew how much she was close to the boy. – Sorry I didn’t tell you, Kyuri. I didn’t want to spoil the surprise. – Karota said with a subtle smile, before returning to her more serious feature. Nasu complained a bit too. – That sort of information can’t be hidden from the Overseer, Counselor. – Nasu said in a slightly irritated tone, and Karota sighed, rolling her emerald eyes. – I hid it for a day. No damage in that. – she defended herself, but Nasu was insistent. – Don’t ever repeat that! A new super saiyan surges I want to know. At the exact second and with details! I will be expecting a report soon, Counselor. – he demanded and Karota sighed, not even answering him as her sigh was already enough of an answer.
Komatsu was now completely dominating the fight. He fired a ki blast that Jie Shan couldn’t even dodge and he just blocked it with his hands, suffering some damage from it, but the young super saiyan wouldn’t stop at that. He punched the hybrid in the stomach hard and that clearly damaged him. Miso got angry enough and got up from his chair, reaching the fence of the stand and roared to Jie Shan. – GROW A PAIR AND FIGHT BACK, ASSHOLE!!! I CAME HERE TO WATCH A FIGHT, NOT SOME STUPID ASS CLOW GETTING BEATEN SO BADLY! – and although most people didn’t follow Miso, some certainly did, and started provoking Jie Shan, while others cheered for Komatsu.
The situation wasn’t good for the hybrid captain, and if he didn’t come up with a plan soon, the battle would be over in the next couple minutes.
"Yeah~ Damn me. Should of taken my advice Captain, I gave you plenty of opportunities to at least knock me out." He said just before Jie Shan's head came crashing into his. Komatsu didn't even attempt to block it, and he only grinned, even as the headbutt broke skin and caused a thin trail of blood to run down his forehead. Of course, his head was ringing from the impact, but it wasn't anything he wasn't used too.
"Too bad... You could of won if you weren't such an egotistical bastard. There's no reason to hold back in a serious fight! When the hell are people going to learn that!?" At first Komatsu was just goading Jie Shan on, the adrenaline and power making him a bit more of a dick than he normally would be. He wanted to see Jie Shan fight back though, he wanted this fight to continue! Hell, hadn't Nasu said they were even in base power? Jie Shan had so much strength at his disposal... maybe Komatsu could piss him enough to turn him. Maybe something he said, would trigger something. Now that was going to be a fight worth fighting! We was done with picking on those weaker than him. He was now a Captain of the Alliance, a soldier and a warrior, not some sorry for himself kid who tortured the weak.
He would growl as he felt a sudden rage build up inside of him, alongside his desire to fight. Other than running away, Jie Shan reminded him a lot of Jarvis in a way. That only fueled Komatsu to keep going. Since Koma still had a grip on Jie Shan's wrist, he began to push his hand back so that he could cause the other man pain. Using that as a distraction, Komatsu charged a blue orb in his free hand, charging it before releasing it directly against Jie Shan.
"Spirit Cannon!" He cried out, only letting go of Jie's hand if he felt the blast hit. He wasn't going to hold back now that he was the stronger fighter, he wasn't going to be that hypocritical, but he sincerely hoped that Jie Shan could keep providing him with some fun. This proved to be a huge boost to his damaged ego and pride.
~~~ Kyuri would look at Karota and just cross her arms, her expression rather neutral as she apologized. She hated breeches in her security like this, any withheld information could prove fatal to someone! She'd learned that the hard way after her daughter and son in law died. She always felt that if Kyuri had a more complete security then, she could have foreseen the betrayal and saved them. She wasn't about to let that happen again.
While the information this time pertained to her grandson turning into a Super Saiyan, she couldn't forsee any immediate negative effects, but it still bothered her, and apparently Nasu agreed completely. She would look over to her youngest grandson, glad to hear him back her up on this one before glancing back to Karota.
"I understand, Karota. But you know i'm pretty good at keeping secrets myself. I'm sure Nasu would have expected something like this from me, and it would have saved you a whole lot of paperwork." She teased the saiyaness lightly on the subject, before quickly looking over to Miso who had suddenly stood up and began yelling. She just rolled her eyes at the man.
"You really have it in for the kid hunh Miso" She said with a sigh as she looked back to the fight. It was fun to watch actually, as both sides had been able to take the upper hand at one point or another. She was curious as to just how this would end. If Jie Shan didn't turn the tables once more, then Komatsu would remain on top.

"Quotes are a waste of time. Actions speak louder than words."
Post by Jie Shan Lan Dian on Mar 19, 2016 23:34:18 GMT -5
Jie Shan's blow did nothing. His head simply crashed into his foes. Jie Shan's vision pulsed in and out as his head rang with the fury of a struck bell. All he saw was a small streak of blood run down the forehead of his Super Saiyan adversary and even that did not seem to face the boy. Jie Shan was, for once in his life, helpless. Jie Shan struggled against the grip of the boy captain. Damn him, thought Jie Shan, and damn himself. If he'd ended it quickly, if he'd used more force... Maybe now he wouldn't be on his last legs, held in a death grip by his foe.
The boy was right. Jie Shan was an egotistical bastard. An arrogant one. He thought he had learned humility, but it seems that he had not. He thought he knew what mercy was, but even that seemed to come back and bite him in the ass. This kid might kill him. And some tiny part of Jie Shan's brain, the sensible part of it, screamed out against it. Jie Shan did not want to die. This life had not given him all he had wanted yet. And worst of all, he did not want to die on Natto. There were so many more pleasant places to die.
Suddenly, pain shot through Jie Shan's arm as his foe pushed his grip. A staggered cry slipped from his lips, and reflexive tears began to well into his eyes. He was just too weak to fight back. But he could sense something worse coming. And his worse fears were confirmed when Komatsu shouted his attack: the Spirit Cannon, signature technique of the Soy School. Damn, he thought, this would not bode well for Jie Shan. He needed to react quickly.
Almost by reflex, Jie Shan energized the air in his lungs, setting fire to it. And half a second later, the ki-flames sprouted from Jie Shan's mouth and met the blast of energy just in time. But even that was not enough to save him. The blast crashed into Jie Shan and he was carried away by it. It thrashed at him until it deposited him some ways away from the young captain, leaving him laying there, broken. The taste of iron filled his mouth and he could scarcely think straight. No, he couldn't just think straight: his very mind was fading to black.
So, he thought, this was it. This is where his life ended. A bloody mess on the floor of a damnable arena, killed by some kid. A fitting end, he though sourly to himself, for the halfbreed who let the demons in his head, real or not, haunt him so. Even now, he was sure his father was looking down on him from the stands, shaking his head in disgust. Jie Shan hated the man. He wanted to blame his father. After all, Gai Lan Dian was the one who had steered his son's life down this very course, and for what? Power? His damned legacy? The blood in Jie Shan's veins surged, and maybe not just from the fact it was pouring out from him in various wounds...
And what was worse, the people he loved were watching him die. Cornel, Carota, Potana, he thought, Hell, even Rudieri, they were all watching from the stands. And there was nothing they could do to help him. And then there were those he loved that weren't even present. Mother, he thought, did she know her child was dying? The flesh of her blood, the product of her love. And there it was, torn up and thrown to the ground. I'm sorry, thought Jie Shan as the world around him grew darker, everyone. Jie Shan did not want to die.
Jie Shan did not want to die. Damn it, he did not want to die! The demons in his head rallied around the sinking ship of his mind. Even they did not want to go quietly. They howled and cursed, whipping what light remained in Jie Shan's mind into a frenzy. Desperation. That's what was forming in his mind. He did not want to die like this, not here. And close behind desperation was anger. Who was this boy to toss him around like a doll? And there was even anger at himself. Damn, Jie Shan cursed himself, he did not live his entire life just to end up a pile of broken bones and flesh on the floor of some cursed Saiyan-made arena. This is not what his training was about. This is not what life was about!
An idea formed in Jie Shan's mind, the abstract thoughts of a dying man. Slowly, his hand trembled and made for the pocket just below his belt. He could scarcely feel his arm, and it felt as if it were about to fall off. But slowly, his shaking hand infiltrated the soft, torn fabric of his clothes and the tips of his fingers wrapped around the small lifeline he'd been keeping for emergencies. It might not be honorable, thought Jie Shan, but he'd rather live than die. As quickly as he could manage, Jie Shan drew the capsule up to his mouth and popped it in. With a harsh move of his mouth, the mixture of blood and spit guided the capsule down his throat. He could feel it travel to the pit of his stomach, it was a rough ride all the way down.
But his power came back to him. Almost as if by magic, the wounds on his body began to mend and Jie Shan's world got much brighter. In no time, his strength returned. Well, he thought, best not to waste any more time. Jie Shan hopped to his feet, his emotions still roaring. He turned his gaze on Komatsu and smirked, his rage guiding his mind.
"Sorry," exclaimed Jie Shan, his voice stoic, "But I'm not dying yet. I still have a lot more left to do in this life. And it's for damn sure that I'm not letting you take that from me!"
Sparks flew from Jie Shan's body and lightning crackled up and down him as his emotion's reached a fever pitch. An image of his mother flashed across his mind. The flare-ups were the gift of her blood. Maybe even now she was looking out for him.
And his father's blood had given him gifts as well, whether his father had wanted too or not. The zenkai was one such gift. But Jie Shan was going to take it even further. His mind was a fine maelstrom of anger, desperation, and determination. He was going to drag the rest of his father's gifts out of him kicking and screaming.
"Ahhh!" Cried Jie Shan, the maelstrom escaping his mind in one loud cry. Energy began to pulse around him like mad, like a firestorm caught in a hurricane. His aura changed colors rapidly, from gray to dull yellow to even sort flashes of gold. The ground beneath his feet shook and lightning flew from his body, arcing across the ground. Dark clouds gathered over head and rumbles of thunder filled the arena. A single peal of lightning crashed down from the sky and burned the ground beside Jie Shan.
His muscles pulsed in and out as his ki fluctuated rapidly. They were growing, shrinking, going back and forth rapidly. It felt as if his body were seizing up, but in a good way. Power was flowing through him like he was a conduit for something greater.
"Rah!" Roared Jie Shan one final time. Brilliant golden light flashed, engulfing him as another flash of lightning came down. And with one final push, Jie Shan's aura exploded in a gilded shower. It now ran a brilliant gold, just like the legends had promised. Jie Shan held his hands out in front of him in amazement.Another light shower of sparks fell from him. He'd finally done it. Jie Shan Lan Dian was a Super Saiyan.
Jie Shan turned his gaze on his Super Saiyan peer. "Sorry to keep you waiting. I just needed to work through some stuff," he said with a smirk, "But I'm ready now. And I'm better than ever."
Jie Shan bent over to retrieve his blade. He inspected it, looking for any signs of damage. Good, he thought, it seemed to be holding up. It was another of his mother's gifts. He'd hate to lose it.
With that, Jie Shan pointed his blade at his foe once again. "Alright, no more holding back. You and I are going to fight as equals. You were right," Jie Shan admitted, "I was being a real bastard. But now? I know I can't hold back. I still don't want to kill you, but I'm not going to treat you like a kid. I guess I have you to thank for finally pushing me over the edge."
Jie Shan dropped himself into a fighting pose. "So, Super Saiyan! Face your equal!"

Kyuri answered to Karota, saying she was pretty good at keeping secrets and that was true and she nodded. Then, when Kyuri said Nasu could’ve expected something like that from her he growled angrily. – You both will do good to remember that, despite our ties as family and comrades, I’m the Overseer and that sort of information is of ultimate importance to the Alliance! – he thought it was wise to point that out. Then, Miso started at Kyuri with an angered expression and roared at her. – I’ve bet my money on that gray-haired bastard! All my fucking money! – he admitted and Karota couldn’t lose the perfect opportunity to hold it against him. – Shame is on you for gambling! Hihi! – she teased him, giggling a bit. Miso growled again in anger, but chose not to answer and instead, focused on the fight again.
The headbutt was useless and that was pretty obvious; the gap in power was huge and it wasn’t just obscene because Jie Shan had that hybrids’ power. Komatsu held Jie Shan and started charging a Spirit Cannon, and that made Nasu narrow his eyes. ”Point blank shot… This can’t be good…” he thought to himself, carefully watching the battle. The hybrid captain tried to counter it but it was useless and he was trashed, sent away from Komatsu and right now was lying in the ground, broken and seriously damaged. Nasu was about to put an end to the fight and declare Komatsu the winner, since Jie Shan didn’t seem like he was going to get up, but then something happened, something Nasu failed to see; Jie Shan used a healing item. It wasn’t against the rules, but it was unexpected and then an enormous surge of power could be both sensed and detected by scouters. It was zenkai, it was strengthening the hybrid’s body, using the most of his saiyan DNA and making him grow stronger.
– What?! Zenkai again?! Those fuckers! They have the balls to risk their lives, haven’t they?! – he thought to himself, more surprised than anything else. Karota sighed and shook her head. – Still, that’s so reckless. – she pointed out. Nasu didn’t say a word, he had used zenkai a couple times in his life to give him advantage, only the last time it wasn’t on purpose. Still, now things would become far more interesting. And then it exploded, Jie Shan’s power. His aura became golden. His hair became golden and spikier and his eyes teal in color; he had successfully turned into legend himself, another super saiyan. And that sight made Nasu’s smile finally appear.
– Another super saiyan! This is a day of glory to the Saiyan Alliance! – he said. Nasu’s plan had worked! The two saiyans who held potential managed to transform. Now, whoever became Councilor didn’t matter much. With a whole squad of super saiyan, together with that new member of the Alliance, Leena, the Saiyan Alliance was pretty much unbeatable, and he would see that they were further trained into mastering the form in the near future. – Listen up you all! Save your energy, because right now we can’t have any of them dying on that arena! If I feel it’s going to happen, all of us, super saiyans, will deal with it, stopping the fight and declaring the victor! Be alert! – Nasu said with an excited tone, but it was also an order, and a pretty clear one. Karota giggled a bit and nodded, and Miso mumbled a bit, but also nodded in agreement.
The satisfaction was incomparable to anything he had ever felt. His army was going to be able to wreck his foes completely and that was just the beginning.
