The smell of smoke hung in the air, choking anyone who stopped to breathe it in. It brought with it the stench of decay and death. The sound of battle, the screams and cries of others reverberated through the air. The sight of blood in particular was something that Tomina loved. All of these things combined brought an atmosphere that she loved, but the blood was what brought it all together for her. The blood of her enemies that she splattered onto the wall was both a sign that she was crushing them, and was a sign of her victory afterwards. It was like painting a painting, using her opponents blood to create macabre masterpieces. Painting that were drawn using the blood of herself and her foes. She didn’t mind losing a little blood: that meant her enemies were putting up a hell of a fight.
Yet in the span of 5 minutes, all of it had become what most other societies viewed it. The smoke that she spread with her flames had seemingly turned on her, attempting to choke the life out of their creator. The explosions followed by the howls of agony filled her with despair. This was a civil war between two Saiyan philosophies. Even some of her enemies were once former comrades. This whole fight went against what the hybrid was taught growing up. But That wasn’t the worst of it.
Blood was splattered everywhere. She could feel the warm, wet liquid dripping down her hands and from her wounds. It had formed a small pool underneath her sister. The hybrid looked down at her sibling, still feeling remnants of anger despite settling things with the person that did this to her.
“Karen, don’t you worry I’m going to get you out of here. We’ll get to a medical machine, so just hang in there, okay?!”
Karen nodded weakly at her sibling. Tomina knelt down, frantically digging through the rubble that was pinning down her sister. If she could get her out in time, then everything would be salvageable. Even in the unlikely event that they lost, she would still have her sister. Her hopes were dashed when she pulled back the final stone slab keeping her sister pinned down. Tomina gasped, her eyes widening in horror as she saw the extent of the damage. Her body slumped as she stared at what her sister had endured. If she tried moving her, it would only make her die faster.
“Tomina.... how bad is it? I can’t feel my legs.”
That snapped Tomina out of her shock. Tomina raised her hand into the air, causing a stream of fire to erupt up towards the sky. She didn’t have it in her to tell her how badly damaged she was. Tomina gave her sister one of her cocky smirks.
“Quit being such a wimp. It isn’t as bad as it feels. I’m still sending up a signal for someone to come and help rather than carrying you though. Moving through an active battle zone on my own would be crazy. You should know that, considering that you dragged me out of an active battlefield. You’ve always had a few loose screws, but that was the most insane thing I’ve seen someone do. It was badass as hell though, heh…”
Karen gave Tomina a weak smile. She seemed to have bought it, and didn’t look quite as worried as she did before. Tomina took comfort in the fact that she was doing all she could to make her sister happy before the end.
“You might be right about that. I’m different from everyone else in the Empire. I don’t regret what I did one little bit. Tomina… what happened to Cabris? Is he alright?”
Tomina’s smirk faded from her face when her sister asked that question. Cabris had been the one to mortally wound Karin. She wasn’t the target of his attack, but she had taken it for Tomina. The hybrid’s brow furrowed, but she quickly went on the rebound and kept up her confident front.
“I punched that idiot clear through a wall. I’m willing to bet that he has more than a few broken bones, but he’ll live.”
Karen’s eyes were focused on Tomina face. For a moment, the hybrid worried that she would see through the facade, that she wasn’t as confident as she was letting on. Although those fears were put to rest when a look of relief spread across her face.
“That’s a relief to hear. Don’t hate him for what he did. He was just fighting for what he felt was right. He’s still the person who fought alongside us. He’s just… fighting for what what he believes is right.”
“Yeah… I know.”
Tomina felt sick to her stomach. She felt horrible that she had to lie to her sister to make her feel better. Not only that, but she had to kill someone who was close to the both of them. Tomina bent over, clutching her hand to her mouth and making a few choking sounds. She managed to hold back from throwing up. Karen was looking at Tomina, a concerned look on her face.
“Are you alright Tomina? You look a little pale. Did you lose a lot of blood?”
Tomina shook her head, before giving Karen a bemused smile. Tomina felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Even though she was injured to this degree, Karen was still worried over Tomina’s condition. Her sister was abnormally altruistic, even at the end.
“I’m perfectly fine. You’re such a weirdo. You’re supposed to be concerned over your own condition. For once, don’t put me above yourself and worry about your own injuries.”
The smile Tomina wanted to see returned to her face. The wave of nausea passed Tomina, but it didn’t change how desperate the situation was. Tomina hopes that someone, anyone would come along and help Karen.
<If this is a bad dream, I want to wake up from it. I can’t take this nightmare anymore… please…. I need to wake up….>
Present Time, Nasu’s Ship
Tomina’s eyes slowly opened. At first she thought that something was wrong with her eyes. Everything was blue and it was hard to see ahead. As she came to her senses, she was in a rejuvenation chamber. She was shocked to be alive. Flare had her completely at her mercy, and there were no allies who could get there in time to save her. Tomina telepathically sent out a message to everyone within range of her telepathy.
<Someone get me out of this damn thing before I blast it to pieces! I’m perfectly fine now!>
Tomina’s message snapped at those who could hear it, which was everyone on the Nasu’s ship. Who could blame her though? Tomina had suffered a loss at the hands of an inferior being. The medical machine had healed her physical wounds, but it could not repair the damage done to her pride.

Kinoko grumbled softly as her unconscious mind was forced to awaken. The dark haired saiyaness opened her eyes slowly and groaned audibly, raising her hand to her head and rolling over onto her right side. She felt incredibly sick to her stomach as her head started to spin, making it look like the ship was shaking violently.
<I swear to god Tomina...> The Saiyaness growled back towards the half saiyan, frustrated that the girl would disturb her so rudely. She had no idea what happened to Tomina on that battlefield, but slowly memories of her own battles would flood back to her mind. She abruptly sat up with a panicked expression on her face as her left arm flew up to her right bicep... her bicep? Even with her head spinning, she looked down to see her right arm exactly where it was supposed to be. Unbeknownst to her, one of the enemy saiyans had managed to reattach it and heal her when she had passed out. She blinked repeatedly, feeling her arm up and down before slowly pushing herself to her feet.
Even with her slow actions Kinoko would stumble, quickly stepping towards the wall and leaning on it to steady . She just... needed her head to stop spinning for a minute so she could get her bearings. She didn't care about Tomina in the tank just yet, instead she would focus on a single point across the medical bay, willing the spinning to stop long enough for her to stand up straight.
Tarro was with the others on the ship - his armor battered and broken from the brutal brief clash he had with Hotato. Unlike the others however he was mostly uninjured- as his combat serum came in at just the right moment to patch his wounds. His clothes looked a lot worse than the Saiyan himself. That boy had landed a pretty powerful blow- albeit it had been a risky maneuver to begin with. Putting all of his energy in one attack right from the start - leaving him vulnerable to getting knocked out by the Saiyan's mighty punch. Tarro shuddered in recollection. He had almost killed a Saiyan in cold blood, a Saiyan who had done nothing to wrong him but be in the wrong place in the wrong time. The former Saiyan elite had thought he had a better control of his emotions than that. Jarvis' effect on him, even in mere presence, was enough to send Tarro over the edge. That was dangerous, and would get him (or more importantly- Tomina) killed. Standing in the room where the Captain was resting - Tarro watched her as she slept for what had been awhile now. Perhaps a few hours. Nothing else deserved his attention. He didn't even bother to eat.
He was too worried. Flare had done a number on her. It was silly. The chamber would heal any damage the Elemi could possibly have inflicted, but a part of him couldn't help but be nervous after seeing her in the state that she was in. "Don't you dare go dying on me,"he thought to himself - his black eyes staring at the sleeping Saiyaness like a hawk. It wasn't long however until Tomina seemed to wake up - and she was yelling with a rather powerful mental force. Tarro clenched his teeth in slight pain as her presence made him nervous. Her power was far beyond his own, even more so than before. She had once again risen to another level, while he was still trailing behind. For once however... this didn't seem to bother him. In fact a part of him was relieved.
"Keep your pants on! I'm right here...," Tarro said with his usual scowl, pretending everything was normal. With a push of a button the water levels of the rejuvenation tank would die down - leaving the slightly wet Saiyaness free to exit the now opening chamber. He figured if she was feeling better she could walk out of the open machine herself. As he looked at her up and down to check her now nonexistent wounds... before settling on her eyes, he asked her nonchalantly - "So. How are you feeling."
Well, Ragnarok had his hands a bit tied as he watched the tanks in the medical bank idly. His armor had seen the worst of his action, the torso piece entirely warped from a certain woman's assault on him. He didn't exactly sign up to be handcuffed by the fists but, alas, here he was. His under cloth were robes that fit loosely around him. His chest had been taken care off from the deep wounds inflicted, but he wasn't in any tank. The severity of his blows taken were not like that of the daughter he patiently watched. He stood a good few meters near the wall opposite of the machines, just watching. Thinking. It was a jolt of energy when the girl decided to telepathically yell in the back of his mind. From his almost meditative state he'd straighten up from the wall and groan as he did so from soreness.
"How the bloody hell does she and her aunt manage to yell like that in people's heads?" He'd mutter to himself and wait for someone... not s restricted to come along and help as he stepped nearer to the tanks. That'd be Tarro. Cautiously he'd look the boy over and step aside to give him full control over the workings of the tank to get her out. beady orange eyes not one seeming to look down or angered at any of them for his time here. He could only imagine the reception Tomina might have with him being here. It couldn't be worse than when Kinoko was inevitably going to regain enough sense to smack him around, yes?
"Tomina." He'd state rather plainly, just cracking a bit of a smile towards her. Maybe then she wouldn't be so willing as to smash his face in. His pause between speaking was caught when he'd see the form of a younger one rounding about the corner, then out of his sight. Was he being watched by someone?
"Huh... " Tarro already really asked what needed to be asked first, which lead Ragnarok to more so catch the stumbling Kinoko by chance. Keeping his ground near the other two as he passively awaited whatever Tomina and the others had to say before making any rash decisions like DARING to ask questions in front of torn up saiyans.

Karota wasn’t in the best of shapes, but both the healing chambers were being used by those who had nearly died and because of that she was in the cargo bay, with her wounds being tended by Luffa, the same small saiyan who tended to Ragnarok’s wounds despite the grimacing face of Miso, who was carefully watching over them as it proceeded. Shortly afterward, he moved on to Karota, so he could focus entirely on her, but even though her body was wrecked, it wasn’t her body the thing damaged the most, but her spirit and, in all honesty, Miso didn’t know if he could really do something about that. Hopefully, him, together with their 5 years old daughter Tamari could do something about that, but at this point it was just wishful thinking.
In any case, as soon as Ragnarok felt he was doing alright and decided to walk around the ship and Miso just glared at him with the corner of his eyes, but decided to stay there for the time being; there was little harm he could hope to cause in this situation and Miso believed he was more than enough to end the damn elemi, but in the end he chose to believe he wouldn’t be another source of trouble and, truthfully, he had far more important things to be concerned about, such as the healings of the three saiyaness in the ship, and the wellbeing of Nasu, who was still fighting against that obscenely strong fusion between Komatsu and Chris. ”To think he would fall so low… Komatsu…” the brute saiyan clicked his tongue and shook his head in disappointment. ”If only I wasn’t so tired and could’ve poured more power into that blast I would’ve killed that Ruttsu bastard… Dammit! I’m growing to become very useless… My super saiyan form is not as strong as theirs anymore… I feel the years are finally catching up with me…” he thought to himself, sighing sharply.
But Miso was brought back to reality when Tomina woke up and starting acting like a jerk, saying she would blow the healing tank to bits, when there were still others who needed to use it and that made him grunt his teeth and narrow his eyes. ”Conceited piece of shit…” he thought to himself in mild anger as he made his way to the healing chambers. By the time he got there, though, Tarro had already taken her out from the healing tank and Miso folded his arms in front of his chest, starring at them all. Kinoko was there too, stumbling as she recovered from the shock and he sighed again. ”So… Seems like we are all here. The remains at least… Now, I will give you lot a couple minutes to recover, because while we still have no news of what is going on down on Earth, we have news about Saiya…” and his tone was serious and dark, just like his eyes.
"Inside the "enemy" ship, flying just above Earth's atmsphere...why did I accepted coming here?"
Blizzer thought to himself while walking up and down the medical bay of the Kingdom's ship. He'd agreed to take care of the wounded saiyans who were fighting on Earth, and even with Nasu ordering a retreat the kold demon didn't thought they would really go without their King - "At the very least I guess I have diplomatic immunity...if they listen to Tarro that is"
The kold doctor would keep moving from the healing tanks containing Tomina and Kinoko, checking their vitals signals and regulating the machines accordling. The Queen was in particulary delicate situation, having her arm just reatached by Hotato and now Blizzer was making sure it would be correctly restored.
"This was kinda rushed, but not bad for a field work. Hotato paid attention to my teachings, good to know. Humm...also, this equipment is surprisingly advanced for saiyans to have. Not that I'm being judging...well, I am...shame on me..." - The room also had the presence of two people who kept watching over Tomina like sentinels: Tarro and the elemi Ragnarok. Both of them had their own injuries but for some reason didn't bother to ask the kold for any kind of medical treatment - "Stunborness isn't healthy, at all"
Blizzer was just finishing his routine checking on Kinoko and going to Tomina, when a voice spoke to his mind...a very angry voice.
"Ugh, I'm okay with the telepathy, but not this rudeness...so this is the little girl, huh? Better let her out already" - as he was going towards the tank, Kinoko woke up, probably from the shock that was Tomina's telepathic message, and looked quiet disturbed, leaving her tank quiet fast - "C'mon, I'm only one. Gonna help the Queen first" - and he turned around and hold the saiyaness as to help her not to fall.
- Mis-...I mean, your highness, please don't force yourself. You're still dizzy, please sit down and recover your balance first - said Blizzer and creating a seat with his magic. The kold demon's tone was gentle and yet demanding.
Looking back at the tanks, Tarro was getting Tomina out of the healing machine while Ragnarok also got close to them - "Please don't start anything dangerous here, not right now at least...humm, the room got hotter for some reason"
Miso had entered the room and spoke, with his strong voice. Seriously, everything in Miso screamed strong. Blizzer was intimidated just with the giant's presence.

Tomina didn’t bother to reply to the Queen’s reply in her head. She could tell that she had made her mad, but Tomina didn’t give a crap about that right now. For the moment, all that mattered was getting out of the damned medical machine. It was Tarro who ended up answering the call to get her out of there. He drained the tank of its fluids, which allowed for Tomina to take off the equipment holding her there.
She opened it up and stepped out, her gaze turning to focus on Tarro. Given his position and how fast he had responded, he had already been here before she even called out. She noticed him inspecting her, although his eyes eventually focused on hers. Tomina would have normally have assumed that it meant that the other person was interested in her body. Although in this case she doubted it, considering that Tarro had resisted her advances when she tried to sleep with him. Tomina stared back at Tarro, seemingly not caring that her clothes were in absolute tatters and rags at this point.
“What pants? I just got done being treated in a medical tank after suffering a major defeat. How do you think I feel? That naive raving whore… I’m going to pay her back for this tenfold!”
Tomina clenched her fist, gritting her teeth in frustration. She had the advantage the entire fight. Even if Flare had gotten one good hit in, she still had been heavily wounded by her ultimate technique. Yet Flare had managed to get a new transformation at the last minute, and defeated her in an instant. There was nothing she could have done about it. <How could I lose to that raving lunatic? She wasn’t even thinking straight when she punched me out. That won’t happen a second time though. She had her chance to finish me off, and she blew it. Of all the enemies to spare, the worst ones to show mercy to are us Saiyans. How does her brain function enough for her to throw a punch?>
Tomina could already feel that her power had increased by a considerable margin. All thanks in large part due to the Zenkai she received. Yet she could also tell that it wouldn’t be enough to compete with the Elemi… yet. She was going to have to push herself even harder in order to close the gap between someone who she didn’t expect to have to surpass in the first place.
Tomina then became aware of three more presences in the room. First the Queen stumbled around, looking rather off despite how sharp she had sounded when talking back to her mentally. There was also a Kold Demon who… seemed to be helping Queen Kinoko. Well they did have one Kold Demon working for them, so maybe they had another that she had missed. He was weak anyway, so it wasn’t like they had anything to worry about from this particular Kold Demon anyway.
The third person she noticed called out her name. She scowled when she saw who it was. Of all the people that she felt like interacting with, he was near the bottom of that list right now. She simply turned to Tarro and asked.
“Why is an alien prisoner in the medical ward and not in the brig? I haven’t been out long enough for Saiyans to forget basic protocols, so there better be a good reason for him being here.”
Tomina gave her father the cold shoulder in that situation. Considering how he had gone on about how Flare was stronger than her in their first conversation, she was likely going to punch him through a wall if her name was brought up by him in the next 5 minutes. And considering where they were, that would be an undesirable course of action. Tomina knew that any conversation with him would end up going back to Flare sooner or later, and she wasn’t going to have any of that right now.
Then Miso entered the room. When he mentioned news from Saiya, Tomina felt a sinking feeling in her chest. It couldn’t be.... Could it?
“News from Saiya… Miso, who exactly did Nasu leave defending Saiya? He seemed to bring all the strong members of the Kingdom to Earth when he invaded it.”
He hadn’t even said what the news was, but going by the look on Miso’s face, it was not good news. Plus Tomina had been worried when she had came to the realization that Nasu had brought pretty much all his strongest warriors to Earth and left Saiya lightly guarded. Still, there shouldn’t have been anyone able to take advantage of that. Yet Miso’s demeanor gave Tomina an uneasy feeling regardless.

Kinoko was first caught by two strong hands that prevented her from falling to the ground. She was about to thank them when she recognized just who those hands where attached too. She glared dangerously at Ragnarok, her ki energy rising sharply only to die down again as someone else put their hands on her, stabilizing her and getting her away from Ragnarok. Her gaze shifted from the older Elemi to the being in front of her and found... a Kold Demon? This one wasn't Laufey... She wasn't aware thet there was another Kold Demon slave in the Empire so just who was this person and how dare they lay their hands on her.
"Don't-touch-me" She hissed dangerously at the kold even as he created a chair for her and basically forced her to take a seat. She wasn't about to admit she was grateful for it... it was like her head instantly stopped spinning then and she could at least see straight.
There were a lot more people gathered in the medical chamber than she had initially expected. Along with Tomina there was also Tarro and Miso, their prisoner and this Kold Demon. It was actually much too crowded for the Queen's comfort, though if miso was here then it couldn't be all that bad...
"What about Saiya? We left quite a few Super Saiyans behind to guard it" Kinoko stated seriously, her head moving up to her head as if testing out if it would start to spin again. Not only had they left Fennle behind, she had left Cress and Hakobe there as well. While most people thought Hakobe was still locked up, she had let him free before leaving. The Saiyan was still conflicted of course, but she didn't doubt he would fight to save the planet if something were to happen, so what news was there that Hakobe and Fennle couldn't handle?
Meanwhile, Natsu was still walking about the ship, peeking in and out of the medical chambe every now and then and staring at the man who had been bound in a borner. He eventually tried to be sneaky by crawling into the room and hiding under one of the cabinets, staring at this stranger curiously. Little did he understand he wasn't very well hidden at all. WC: 383
Well she certainly must be feeling better. She went straight into bitch mode. That was a relief at least. Tarro stayed quiet as she did her thing - letting her vent. Knowing her she needed a beat to get angry and revel in her loss and fume for a bit. Later they would talk. He crossed his arms and stood around as he sensed the dramatic increase of her power from her zenkai. They had both reached big power jumps on Earth - and yet he felt like nothing had changed. She was still as ahead of him as she always was. Tarro sighed. The worst of it was over. When they got back to Saiya they could regroup and strategize. They lost a few heavy hitters, but if Jarvis was any indication they would come back... most likely. Carva was dead. Rensu had deserted. Nasu was likely dead. They hadn't lost anyone else from their forces on Earth. Without Carva and Nasu (and Rensu defecting) - their battle potential was cut by a third. Tomina alone could barely handle Flare - let alone all of other heroes. Tarro couldn't even handle the boy without triggering his zenkai. He had a lot of slack to make up for if he was going to help fill in their shoes.
"Your father insisted he make sure you recovered. He's been under strict surveillance, but we allowed him his request. He knows if he doesn't behave - he's going out the airlock with the rest of the garbage," Tarro informed her. He was a bit surprised though at how... cold she was treating her father. He was a shithead, but he was still her father. Maybe it was just the sentimental side of Tarro now that he was an orphan and all. He wasn't sure.
Commander Miso came in however with a grim look on his face. This put a worry in Tarro's mind. Had something happened to the other Commander? Apparently however it wasn't about Karota- which meant she was still likely fine. At least for now. She had taken a pretty heavy hit from Christopher. Rather this seemed to be about something completely different. News about Saiya? Saiya...
And suddenly Tarro's mind started to do calculations. Given how much of their military might had been on Earth... their military force on Saiya was at most at a third of its normal efficiency. Maybe even less. But who could have attacked? With the Demon Queen dead- there wasn't a target unaccounted for that could have done it. Jarvis was on Earth. The Alliance was on Earth. The Brenchians weren't strong enough. The Demons weren't strong enough without Nakiya. "What the hell...," he cursed under his breath...
Ragnarok grew ever more cautious as more people poured into the scene. Miso came with news, the hulking mass of a saiyan seemed to dislike the fact he was walking around. As much as he was technically prisoner surely they'd get it through their heads he wasn't out to harm any of them. he wasn't that stupid nor did he have any reason for it. He was here for one reason... because he'd be damned to see his daughter, s distant as she still was, just up and get killed by his sister. The tanks, he knew, were great at their job... But who knew. She could have died before getting into them. When said daughter started treating him like nothing more than alien trash he was ready to respond to it directly... but Tarro seemed to nail it on the head.
"So cold for a girl of hot blood. He's correct, I came to make sure you were alright in the end. I quit the fight once you were out of it, seeing the wounds inflicted upon you. I care enough to come willingly in shackles... Though, these cuffs have been formality, I've no ill intent against anyone. Despite what you may view my struggle with your queen as." He'd try to explain calmly, standing tall and proud as ever despite his bounds as the elemi looked over towards the other part of the group. People were coming up with speculations already. And, if Flare were here, she'd probably be spouting out how right she's going to be about this. Bringing up 'right and wrong' here would be suicide and plain wrong however. The older flame took in a deep breath and stared for a bit. Awaiting whatever news this could be. Assuming the worse, but he'd not make it seem so.
"Everyone is strong nowadays. Surely your empire was sufficiently guarded as Kinoko says." Here's hoping the news wasn't going to get him killed out of spite or something to that affect. Again, the figure of a small one catches his eyes as no one else seemed to have noticed him or paid him any mind yet. Was this normal for the kid? or what he assumed was a kid. He'd blink a few times and flash the kid a smile as he hid a bit, maybe catching the boy's glance as he did so.

Miso just nodded to Blizzer when he said they were healing; that was a welcomed piece of good news for a change. He didn’t have time to answer to the kold demon though, because Tomina was already spitting fire – so to speak – at Ragnarok and all of them because her father was there to begin with and that made the brute saiyan roll his eyes in his orbits; this was going to be a quite problematic meeting and with Tomina’s power, he feared it could become quite ugly. She was the daughter of Lettis and now she was the strongest member of their broken faction and he feared she would attempt a coup and while all of them together could take her down, the question was: should they really? They were already in such a terrible condition that a civil war among the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom would mean their complete and absolute doom.
”He is here for several reasons, one being he claimed to care about you. The other is quite obvious, he is a prisoner, a willing one, but a prisoner nonetheless and this far in space, killing him is no trouble at all.” he limited himself to say. Then, when she questioned about Saiya, Kinoko was the one to answer, saying they left plenty of super saiyans to guard it and Miso nodded in agreement, but he didn’t seem relieved or satisfied at all. No, his expression still showed grief and it clearly meant something went wrong there.
Ragnarok spoke and Miso let him and once he was finished, he sighed once again and begun. ”We had Fennle and Cress taking care of things, together with the rest of the army. A total of twenty six saiyans warriors there, two of which were super saiyans. We are betrayed by that foul android, Ash.” and when he said that, he stared at Kinoko. ”Ash attacked Laufey, got information on the remnants and the dragon balls and then killed him.” and then he glanced over the others as he continued. ”But if she was the only trouble, we would be saved, but the Demon Queen, the one our King killed and I saw there in hell with my own two eyes in my brief time there…” and he paused to sigh.
”Well… She returned to life and attacked with an army of demons in a way we couldn’t account for. We were gone for nothing but a day, so… Honestly, I can only see this incident as bad luck, and not as negligence, because there was no way for them to know we were away… However, Negi also went back to Saiya and fought. Saiya had a third super saiyan, stronger than all of them, to fight and thanks to him, ten saiyans were saved.” he announced, but there was no happiness in his eyes. ”Negi killed one of the strong demons, and did a number on the demon queen, but he was far outnumbered and he died.” and when he said that, the approaching Luffa dropped the tray he was caring and his eyes became watered in an instant.
”W-what?! N-negi is d-dead?!” Miso stared back at the boy and nodded, before turning back to the others. ”Fennle, Laufey and Cress, as well as many others also died. And finally, the demon queen exploded the planet. That’s what happened with Saiya.” he paused briefly. ”But that’s not the end of the bad news.” and this time Miso had to take a very deep breath. ”The King fell in combat.” he announced.
Blizzer had lived with a saiyan before, though Hotato was a hybrid of the race he showed many of the traces that the kold demon heard about this warriors, such as pride, temper and tendency for violence. But, in this room the kold was right now, it looked like this traces were extrapolated! - "Must be a female thing to be more aggressive" - though him by observing to Tomina's and Kinoko's - "Not Tatto or even Miso show that much savagery...not even fighting"
The queen had just shoned the small kold, despite his actions were only meant to help, while Tomina was irritated with her previous defeat - "At least you lived. Why can't people see past the bad? Meh, better tend to her when she calms down". Again, Blizzer tries to talk to his currently patient even if she wasn't complying.
- Your highness, you need to stay calm and let me finish my job - said him, again trying to use a tone of authority - Above anything, I need to check if your arm has correctly healed or there might be issues in the future - he would lift a hand in her direction, palm faced up, but wait for Kinoko's answer before touching her again.
The room, though, didn't stopped for them as everyone seemed to be focused in what Miso had to say...and it turned out to be bad news. For the saiyans at least, but even still the thought of lives perishing were never a good thing for the kold doctor - "And just as my ancestors, the saiyan race is paying for their bad actions...it's sad really, and uffair to those who were innocent and had no say in the matter. I know that there were those who only followed without choice, fearing being labelled as traitors or leaving family. Even Hotato was following orders just to stay alive. Sad...just, sad" - while lost in his thoughts, Blizzer's scouter beeped, indicating that a message just arrived - "Who might it be?"
Pressing the button to check the content, the voice belonged to Hotato, and he said, at the same moment as Miso: Nasu was dead.
Wasn't the news that made the kold nervous, but the atmosphere on the room that, seemed to him, had became heavier.
Base [x+1/x+0], Enrage [x2], Mastered Power [x5], Super Elemi [x13], Attuned Super Elemi [x20], Unleashed Super Elemi [x32/x24], Mastered Super Elemi [x35], True Elemental [x45], False God [x56/x55] True God [x60]
Tomina was glad to see that the Kold Demon wasn't exactly getting a warm welcome. Kinoko was not letting the alien touch her in any fashion. Tomina ignored the Kold Demon for the time being, along with Prince Natsu, who wasn’t being as sneaky as he thought he was. She gazed at her father for a few moments again before snapping her head around to look over at Tarro.
“Hmph. I suppose you’re right. It would be suicide for him to try anything here, and he knows it. I suppose I can tolerate being mildly annoyed by his presence for awhile.”
Unfortunately, being mildly annoyed was about to be the least of Tomina’s problems. Saiya…. Saiya had been destroyed by Nakiya. Who apparently was not dead somehow. Well, one more bitch had just been added to Tomina’s hit list. Neigh, two more. Although one of them was already on there: now she had an excuse to kill them. Although all of that was pushed to the back of her mind by the sheer shock of the situation. The shock of everything as she tried to process it just came crashing down on her.
“Nasu died?! Saiya was destroyed?! We’ve completely lost… how could all of this have happened at once?!”
Tomina took a couple of steps back and slapped her palm against the outside of the medical machine. It wasn’t enough to put a dent in it: she was using it to support herself. Tomina felt the anger quickly overtaking her. All her laid out plans, her answers for dealing with people stronger than her, all of it had been taken away in one day. There was only one option left to them now, but that discussion would be for another day.
“Betrayal implies being on a particular side to begin with. That creature was never on our side. She tried to free herself by using some kind of mind control technique on me. I should have gone with my instincts and either killed the thing. Or if she was truly immortal like she claimed to be, lock her up in the cold darkness forever. Kinoko thought she could be of use though, and I also so the merit in some of her abilities. We all underestimated how strong she was though, and we paid for it.”
Gritting her teeth, Tomina stood up. Surprisingly she was keeping a cool demeanor about her, despite how mad she felt. She felt like she should be snapping, and yet she wasn’t. Maybe she was just so angry that her emotions had come around full center. Perhaps she was keeping a strong front for the sake of the others, who would likely take the news hard in one way or another, and wouldn’t bother to hide how they felt about it. Whatever the reason, she continued to be the voice of reason. Well, as reasonable for a mad Saiyaness.
“Strange that Negi would come back to Saiya with a change of heart like that. Regardless, he died a true Saiyan. We don’t have the strength to retaliate against the demons as we are right now, so our best option seems rather obvious. We should go for the dragonballs and revive everything that we’ve lost. We can get much more back then just Nasu and the Saiyans that were killed when we lost our planet. Then we can hit back the demons with everything we’ve got. I don’t believe in the afterlife, but those orbs have a power to bring into creation what has fallen into destruction. We better hurry though. If Ash interrogated Laufey for information about the Dragonballs, then that will likely be that mechanical bitch’s next move too.”
Tomina figured it was a good idea not to bring up Hakobe right now. Since that was a very sensitive subject matter for Kinoko. A clear picture was in Tomina’s head over what happened though. Ash, Nakiya, or someone working for Nakiya freed him from their prison. Their combined might was more than enough to overwhelm the Saiyan forces they had there. Having 10 survivors in of itself was a miracle. Tomina didn’t expect anyone to have escaped from those combined forces. The smart move would be to rendezvous with those troops and collect the Dragonballs on Namek. Or they could chose to hide away like cowards somewhere. Those were the only two reasonable options they had left for survival at this point.

"You quit the fight hunh!?" Kinoko suddenly spoke up when Ragnarok addressed his daughter, treating her as nothing but a mild inconvenience. She growled softly as she pushed herself back up to her feet, this time much more stably than she had before. She glared daggers at the bound Elemi, pointing towards his chest with her good arm, ready to jab him in the large gash if she had too to remind him of just how that fight went.
"As I recall you were spouting blood like a god damned fountain. There was no quitting you couldn't continue any more than I could you bastard. If we weren't in space I'd blow you the fuck away right now!" She growled aggressively, her eyes narrowing on him and not letting up until Miso spoke up. The sound of his voice alone was so authoritative even the Queen couldn't help but to stop and listen to him. MIso explained what happened to planet Saiya and Kinoko's accusing hand dropped back to her side, her eyes growing wide for a moment as her breathing seemed to slow. Ash, that stupid little Android she had wanted to tinker with... the one who had found a tiny place in her heart because she was created in a similar fashion that she was... She'd been tricked, played for a fool! And it cost them yet another planet.
She balled up her good hand into a fist, her right barely twitching as the feeling hadn't quite returned into it yet. She was going to find Ash and tear her to bits, there would be no coming back from the vengeance Kinoko would exact on her. It didn't stop there though, apparently Nakiya had come back and had been the one to execute the planets destruction, and Negi had also come back to defend the planet. That part she could believe, even though he 'betrayed them' Kinoko still had a soft spot for the hybrid. He was kind, yet still true to his saiyan heritage. Immediately, Kinoko would shut her mind with the teachings of the Soy school, just in case Nakiya tried to take a surprise advantage by taking control over her. She knew Nakiya still could, but at least now she didn't have the chip that would allow Nakiya to kill her without a fighting chance.
However, that wasn't the end of the story. Miso went on to state exactly those that had perished on Saiya and she let out a light sigh as she sat back down, bringing her hand up to her eyes for a minute as though she was about to cry. While her eyes were covered, Miso then gave them the worst news. Nasu was also dead, killed by the fusion of his brother and cousin. She felt her heart skip a beat in her chest as anger swelled up inside of her. Her blood was pumping furiously through her veins like a wildfire just waiting to be let lose, however, even with all that anger Kinoko somehow seemed calm on the outside. She let her hand slip away from her eyes, not a tear in sight as she looked to all of those gathered there.
The way Tomina spoke made her sound completely defeated, to which Kinoko scoffed. She would have stood up to face them all, but the Kold Demon was rather forceful and insistent on healing her. So without addressing him she just sat there, speaking to the gathered saiyans and letting Blizzer do whatever he had too to fix her up.
"You think we've lost? Hardly. We are saiyans, we won't lose until the very last one of us no longer breaths. We still have more than enough strength here to go on. Our next move isn't going to be as obvious as you make it, Tomina. Everyone and their mothers will expect us to go for the Dragonballs to revive those we lost, though if there were only 26 saiyans left on planet Saiya and 10 got away, then we've only lost 16 of our ranks. 18 if you count Carva and Nasu. Now, we aren't using any dragonballs to revive Nasu, he wouldn't want us too. If his treacherous brother and even Miso managed to return from the dead then so can he, and frankly he would be insulted if we brought him back through such a tactic. No. For now I say we focus on ourselves, take all those who survived to a remote planet and become stronger. We will monitor Namek and the Dragonballs and we will wait for the Demons to come to then. We can't take on the entirety of the Demon army but I know Nakiya... she won't take an army to Namek. She'll try to act through deception. We can easily take out her agents one by one to prevent them from using the dragonballs at all. IF we have the opportunity to get them, then we wish planet Natto back, and all those we lost there. That will increase our numbers much more than bringing back planet Saiya." She stated in a very serious tone, looking from one member of the Galactic Kingdom to the next with a stern expression on her face. She was serious about this... going to planet Namek now would be stupid, there would only be battles between them and the Alliance, and there they would be easy targets. No... they had to act much smarter then that, and now being left behind by Nasu as the Queen, those decisions were going to be up to her... and maybe those few she trusted.
"Miso?" She finished her speech, asking for the elder saiyans opinion on the matter. He was 20x more experienced than her in these kinds of things so she trusted his judgement.
Meanwhile, Natsu was still making his way around as sneakily as he could towards the stranger. It wasn't until the stranger flashed him a bright smile that the small saiyan would gasp before running off to a corner of the room behind Ragnarok. Once he was sure Ragnarok wasn't looking he crept up on him, standing up on his tippy toes to poke him in the lower back where a saiyan tail would normally be.

Tarro was hit with so much news at once that he didn’t even know what to process. His eyes turned blank as the news sank in. As he heard the devastating, world-shattering news about what had happened in but a single day. How? Why? What? The shock of it was immense - coursing through every cell in his body. It all just dropped down. The fucking Demons. The disgusting, horrible and miserable excuses of beings! They were cowards! Stinking cowards! Of course they found a way to attack the planet at the only point in time when the strongest of their race were off-world. It was just their fucking luck. He hated them for this. But more than that he also blamed Nasu and the rest of his commanders for being stupid enough to risk their race’s safety in the first place. He left them vulnerable and it crushed them. If only his opinion mattered to somebody, he would have protested this plan in its inception. Targeting Earth in of itself was a poor move. Now they lost the Tree of Might, even more of their race, and their second home.
So many emotions poured through Tarro that he couldn’t even comprehend. He wanted to scream. He wanted to break something, or someone. He didn’t care that Ash was an android. He was going to rip them apart and all the circuitry with it. He thought of all the Saiyans who suffered, who perished. And it made him furious with rage. He didn’t know most of them, and even the few he did he didn’t know well. But the protection of his people was his life’s purpose now. This development was perhaps harsher for Tarro than it was for most of them, as their families were all still intact. "Damn it..,"he cursed to himself.
The news of the King’s death did not bother him as much. He expected no less from the King’s stubborn actions.
With his death though - he found listening to the Queen less tolerable. Like Carva - her powers were wild and uncontrolled and could very well destroy the remaining Saiyans were it not for Miso, Karota, and Tomina to keep her in check. Were it not for the Prince - he would outright oppose any orders she gave and suspend her rule until Nasu came back… IF Nasu ever came back. One could never be fully certain.
The opposing viewpoints of the two Saiyanesses filled the atmosphere with a sharp tension. Tomina wanted to get right on top of the Dragon Balls, which made some level of sense given how important they now were. Kinoko wanted to be more subtle and advance their forces before, all the whilst portraying an cocky and stubborn attitude. He found it grating. He addressed both of them - trying hard to be respectful in light of all the circumstances. “With all due respect, my Queen, Captain: you both just took rough beatings on Earth. If Earth is any indication - we are not in a good spot, especially if Nasu is dead.
If the Demon Queen is in play again and working with Ash, then consider the fact that she can also ally herself with Jarvis. Who is now about as strong as Nasu was when he achieved his God Form. If she invaded Saiya with an army as Miso said, then it is equally possible that she might do the same with Namek and the Dragon Balls once they are active,” he said, trying to explain the faults in her logic without being condescending or dismissive.
“At the same time however - the Dragon Balls are far as we know are not yet active. We will have time to prepare, and bringing everyone on Namek will create tension with the Alliance Saiyans and more importantly the Namekians who will be threatened by our presence. It makes more sense to follow the Queen’s plan of relocating to a remote planet, but to send a diplomat of some kind to monitor the situation of the Dragon Balls.
When they’re active again - we will unite to do what we can to keep them away from the Demons and to save our race…,” he suggested, thinking that his logic was the most sound. The bridge between two of their thoughts. “Send either Miso or myself to check out the status on the Dragon Balls. Either one of us seem the least likely to piss anyone off and get booted off the planet,” he said honestly. If they didn’t realize that they both had horrible interpersonal skills in dealing with others then they were both in need of a reality check.
And with that he waited to see what the others would say…
