The North Pole, one would wonder why an Entity of Destruction would go all the way to this chilled place, the reason was simple; there would be no one to bother him with asinine comments like to take it easy and not hurt the Earth's critters. He had made sure that there had been no human life for miles, and that the only life around here was the assortment of animals like polar bears, arctic foxes and even the little snow mice he could hear scurrying beneath the snow with his heightened senses. "This should do just fine..." The Entity of Destruction sighed through his nose and got ready to train soon enough, but first, he wanted to check something he had felt at the back of his mind.
The Anubian floated a few feet off the ground and took an Indian style sitting position, resting his palms on his knees he closed his eyes and starting meditating to clear his mind and regulate his Ki for the task ahead. He needed all the concentration he could muster to see this through. After a few minutes passed he felt ready enough to do this and expanding his senses to their maximum the Anubian tried to read and locate the Ki of those that stood on this planet. There were so many people living on Earth that trying to locate each and every single one of them felt like cracking his skull open with the myriad of information he was receiving.
With a gasp Cervez stopped his meditation and tried to calm his fast beating heart, he had worked up a sweat there and the harsh chilly wind felt like glass cutting at his skin when it froze and cooled the sweat slickening his fur. It just made him more determined to see this through and not slack off in his training; so he ignored the biting cold and instead went back to his meditation, he would get this done even if it gave him one major migraine for the rest of his life!
As the minutes passed and it soon came to an hour, the Anubian could feel the strain of trying to sense the Ki of the planet's inhabitants become smaller and smaller, soon enough it didn't even felt like he was trying at all and could locate specific energy signatures across the world. With a long sigh, the male opened his eyes and smiled to himself in accomplishment. "Every journey begins with the first step," Cervez spoke to himself as he wondered what to try next and soon enough he had an idea.
It was fairly simple, it worked around the means to hide one's energy signature from those around you, either to remain low and avoid detection or to fool your enemies into thinking you were much weaker than you truly were. He could try it the easy or the hard way, and since he never did things by the book he chose to go the hard way. Closing his purple-colored eyes once more the Anubian gripped his palms firmly against his knees as he slowly began to power up, an eerie violet aura starting to emanate from his body and illuminated the surrounding area in its intensity.
Once he maxed out the Anubian began the meticulous process of diminishing his vast reserves of energy. It was hard and taxing, it was like opening a dam with no filter and then trying to close it back with merely a door to withstand the pressurized waves crashing down on you. But little by little, the male could feel how his energy output became less and less, a bead of sweat trickling down the side of his face as he tried with all his might to stop and suppress the vast amount of energy inside him. Since his eyes were closed he couldn't see how the snow below him started to melt by the amount of pressure he was exerting to the surrounding area and the local wildlife that stood around to stare in curiosity fled a long time ago when they felt threatened by his mere presence.
He almost felt like giving up on this hard task, but he endured by sheer stubborn and determination alone, he was an Entity of Destruction! A proud Anubian! If he couldn't get this technique down pat then it would shame him deeply by his failure of not even being able to hide his power. With a new wind, the Anubian finally reached a point where he could feel his energy retreat back into the large reserves hidden deep within his psyche, waiting for just a mere signal or command to come back to the surface ready to be used.
With another gasp, the Anubian felt to the slushy ground; not even caring that he was drenching his pants on the partially melted snow. He was too busy trying to regain his lost breath back, heart going a mile a minute behind his chest like it was trying to punch through and escape. After a few minutes to recover himself the male stood up to his full height and with a wave of his hand he used his Ki to act as a fast acting dryer. To his relief, his pants quickly dried and were good as new mere moments later. "There, much better." It also warmed his fur a little bit but the constant coldness hanging in the air around him would make sure to quickly chill him back to the bone minutes later.
Oh well, you win some you lose some or so the saying goes.
Feeling like a break was in order, the Anubian using his newly strengthened energy sensing abilities and in no time at all had a snow rabbit slowly cooking over a small campfire he created with a few branches and pinecones he found around the area after a bit of searching. His stomach growled hungrily, urging its owner to get a move on and feed it already before it starved to death. Cervez rolled his eyes and patted his stomach to quiet down the beast within, though he wished he could speed the process up a bit because with nothing to do but wait he was starting to get bored.
Tall ears twitched as he heard something cracking in the distance, with a frown the Anubian stood up and turned towards where the sound came from and once he realized what it was his eyes slowly widened. Taking a step back Cervez blinked slowly as he tried to justify what he was seeing was not some illusion brought by the extreme cold; sure enough, it was still right in front of him and closing in fast.
"That's... a lot of ice." The Anubian said with a bit of apprehension in his voice, it shouldn't be too hard to evade considering that he could fly and all, but he wanted to try something now that the chance presented itself. Taking a wide stance and staying his ground, the purple-furred creature narrowed his eyes as he concentrated his energy around his hands, feeling it shimmer across his hands like an illusion and once he felt it was ready he pushed his hands outward against the glacier slowly making its way towards him with a cry of. "Repulsive Force!"
The air seemed to shimmer and distort as a great amount of pressure was suddenly released from the palms of his hands, once it reached the high wall of ice it created a small dent across its surface and managed to slow it down a little bit, but besides that the glacier still had a one-track mind and continued its slow but stubborn slide towards his direction. "This... might be a problem..." Cervez blinked twice before his lips quirked up slightly into the beginnings of a snarl. "It seems I must keep improving if I want to survive against these odds..." He could always just fly if he was really in any sort of danger, or perhaps just blast the glacier to smithereens, but doing so might just cause an earthquake or a slide-in that might affect the surrounding area to a great degree, not to mention attract the attention of meddlers that he wanted nothing to do with at the moment.
"Alright, no more Mister Nice Jackal, time to get serious." Taking a deep breath the Anubian closed his eyes and searched deep within himself; easily finding the pool of vast energy resting inside his body just waiting to be brought forth and use it the Anubian did. His lips parted slightly with a growl as he powered it up slightly, a soft violet aura shrouding his body as he worked to channel a great amount of energy, more than the usual he normally would use with this technique, redirecting it to his hands as he condensed and sharpened it to a fine point. Opening his eyes after a while the Entity of Destruction smirked to himself and with a great bellow he declared the new name of his technique as he pushed his hands forward and center. "Almighty Push!"
Everything stopped for just a few seconds, the air becoming tense and almost heavy with an unknown amount of pressure; suddenly the sounds and motions seemed to come back in full force and with it came a great amount of air pressure suddenly rushing towards the big wall of ice with a clear intent in mind. There was a loud bang when it reached its target, the ice developing spiderwebs as it cracked in multiple places, but the most important thing of all was when the glacier stopped moving, slowly but surely it moved backwards with every second that passed against the overwhelming pressure laid on its surface.
The Anubian felt the strain placed against his body as he continued to 'push' against what should have been a normal course of nature taking place, but where there's a will there's a way or so the saying goes and with a crash the glacier crashed against another piece of ice, finally resting its motion now that it was securely held in place-- for now at least.
"I... did it..." Cervez panted harshly, laying his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his stolen breath back, he felt like he had used much more energy than was necessary just now, but still a smirk of accomplishment quirked against his muzzle as he figured that he couldn't complain too much as he regained some of his lost strength today. Nose twitching slightly as a beautiful aroma assaulted his senses, the purple-furred jackal wildly turned towards the cooked piece of rabbit meat still laying on a piece of stick burning happily above a small campfire, and like a starving dog, he jumped upon his prey and feasted like it was the food of the gods.
'Today proved fruitful indeed.' The Anubian thought to himself as he tore into the meat with relish. 'If I keep at this pace slowly but surely I should get my strength back to what it should be if I wish to restore balance to the world as an Entity of Destruction.' Swallowing the meat the male pushed those thoughts at the back of his mind. He could worry about what the future had in store for him later, right now he needed to fill his stomach with food before he died of starvation.
