"Come on!" Cervez slapped away a punch from hitting him squarely in the face, doing the same with the haymaker aimed at his throat and the jab for his sternum to drive the breath. "With this feeble strength, you won't be able to beat me anytime soon!" He tilted his head to the side, an energy ball barely missing hitting his head by mere inches. "If this is how you fight perhaps I choose wrong in taking you in as my vassal!"
The two having been on this spar of theirs for about the better part of the morning, ever since the sun rose on the horizon behind the mountains, right now the enormous ball of fire light years away was almost at the center of the skies, signalling to anyone that knew how to read it that it was almost noon.
With his almost shelf-like pectorals rising up and down rapidly with loss of breath, Samael glared at his Master with all the annoyance he could muster. "You know, for someone that is supposed to be a God of some kind, you sure do talk a lot..." Perhaps most being of a Godly origin or whatever had the penchant of monologuing with or without an audience? Subtly, he twisted his hand slowly to the side, watching imperceptibly as behind Cervez the ball of energy he had thrown before started to come back towards the Anubian.
"Tsk. Instead of complaining you should come and attack me!" Alarm bells began to flare inside his mind as he saw that cheeky smirk cross Samael's muzzle, a wicked twinkle in the Demon Wolf's eyes began to shine as he gave out a quiet chuckle. "Who says that I'm not?"
The Anubian rose an eyeridge at that statement, wondering what it could mean but he quickly got his answer as his energy sensing abilities began to flare in alarm. Turning around, the source of that ping was the energy ball that Samael threw early, the cheeky bastard threw one of his damn chasing balls instead of a normal one!
Bracing himself for impact with no time to dodge, the skies were alighted with a blinding light as the energy ball's Ki destabilized and exploded upon impact. Safely away from the blast zone, Samael smirked. "That will teach ya not to underestimate me, Master!" The Demon Wolf gave out a large guffaw, the sound of mirth echoing down to the courtyard and the mountains nearby with its echo.
"You know," Samael stopped dead, his laughter ending abruptly with a choking wheeze as that voice came from behind him. "That actually hurt." It showed, as Cervez's tank-top barely held on by a thread, his pants had some tears down the legs, and one of his feet seemed to be missing a shoe.
Snarling from deep within his chest, Samael swiftly turned around and aimed to hammer in blow after blow upon his Master's body. The Anubian managing to block some of them, but some managed to break through his guard and impact his flesh, purple colored bruises forming on his body, almost hidden by his natural purple fur.
Needing a small respite, Cervez pointed his hand forward, open palm facing his vassal as energy began to store in it until it was released as a pressurized shockwave of air that slammed powerfully upon the Demon Wolf, the Kiai packing enough oomph to push him back and away from Cervez.
"Now we're talking, Samael, keep that up and I might not replace you." Empty threats, that was all it was, but if it served its purpose to drive Samael to better himself so he'd not lag behind and disappoint his Master, then well, who was to put a stop to it to something that was working?
The reaction was immediate, with another snarl that crescendoed into a roar, Samael flew back at his Master at speed, one giant arm cocked back and ready to slam against his Master's muzzle once he got close to make him shut up. Too bad that he wouldn't get that chance.
With the ghost of a smirk pulling at his lips, the Anubian lifted his hands to either side of his face, fingers splayed wide as he began to gather energy. "Closer... come closer... now! Solar Flare!" With three feet apart of each other, Cervez let the stored power loose, a blinding light erupted from behind him, hiding him in shadows but forcefully driving his opponent's eyes closed as he roared in pain, one paw going to bat at his eyes. "Argh! My eyes! What the fuck!?"
Using the light of opportunity given to him, Cervez drew it close and began to pummel Samael's upper body with almost lightning fast strikes, his arms almost looking like windmills on his shoulders. There seemed to be no stop to it, with every blow, jab and strike Samael groaned his pain until finally, it stopped as fast as it began.
Chest rising up and down, Cervez looked at his handiwork. Samael looked a bit worse for wear, but he knew that with a small rest and a filled belly the Demon Wolf would be raging to no in no time flat. "Is that... all... you've got!?"
Well then, if that wasn't a statement to keep going with the fight, then nothing was. Cervez raised an eyeridge in incredulity at his companion's will to keep going. "You sure you don't want to rest? I could use one myself." He could really use a small break, but if Samael wanted to keep on going...
"No!" Samael spits to the side, his visage set into a fierce glare of determination. "If everything I do is just rest and lick my wounds then I'll never get better at this! So stop mollycoddling me and come at me already you stupid bitch!" Silence greeted the air for a few beats as Samael registered what he had called his Master just now, but it was too late to take it back now so he merely stood tall and faced the trials ahead.
Cervez's face didn't change much from its de facto resting bitch face expression, but a dark glint began to shine in his eyes. "Alright then," Cervez craned his neck slowly from side to side, Samael doing his utmost best to not wince at each crack his large ears registered. "You asked for it."
With a lunge and a roar, Cervez descended upon his poor vassal, and then all that Samael knew was pain.
