"You've been around, eh? You're acting like I kept you tethered to Earth. And if you planned on creating a genetically weaker kid through reproduction, then incest would be a problem. If your distant enough from your relative or you're the same gender that doesn't really matter as much though. If anything, we find it weird how primitive species are so picky about it."
Tomina looked a little bit surprised when Hasenya just decided to tank her knee. She didn't try to avoid it at all. Instead, she straight up took the knee to the stomach, and then proceeded to wrap her leg around her own and pull. It didn't look like her cousin was trying to get her off her feet. Maybe she knew better then the test her in a battle of strength directly. While she held her there, she decided to spill the beans, so to speak. What she found was very interesting to say the least. Tomina didn't make a teasing comment this time. She could tell that her cousin was talking about things seriously.
"Well that isn't the only reason. Although the truth is not everyone I was with was in my league. I decided who I would be either was what it came down to. Honestly though, you shouldn't look down on yourself like that. If you tried you could get any girl you wanted. Being confident is the most important factor in that."
Tomina released Hasenya's blade, pressing her feet into the ground and hopping back to her feet. Tomina could have easily dragged Hasenya to the ground when she had tangled her leg up with hers, since she had the strength advantage. Tomina held her palm out towards her cousin, building up a small amount of energy.
"I should have expected you to take a hit like that to get an advantage on me. It's one of my favorite tactics after all. It's rather risky since it's a battle of attrition, especially if you do it too often. Although if used right you can get the upper hand. Not bad, but lets see how you deal with mid ranged attacks."
Tomina fired out a stream of blue flames at Hasenya, much like a flamethrower. They shot out rapidly, threatening to engulf the other hybrid if she didn't react to it in time.
Of course it couldn't have been that easy to pin Tomina down. This wasn't wrestling, anyway, so the fight wouldn't end with Hasenya simply using her height and weight (or lack thereof) to pin her opponent down. Her little strategy still did what she had intended for it too, which was freeing Excalibur from Tomina's grip. When Tomina put her hand out, she was quick to react to it and extended her own open palm. She flared her corrupted aura, not sparing any reserve of energy as she countered with her own gout of pinkish flames to push back against Tomina's. She wouldn't win such a clash, she knew that for certain, but she could slow it down and think of some strategy to get out of it, and then to make a comeback.
She wrapped her hand tightly around the hilt of Excalibur and prepped it for an overhead swing while being careful to manage her energy output, not quite pushing back against Tomina's attack but still keeping it held at bay while making her next move. Hasenya swung Excalibur forward in an overhead swing, exerting energy into the metal of the blade to create a small explosion as it slammed into the ground creating a small window for Hasenya to sidestep out of range in an attempt to dodge Tomina's attack. The hybrid kept using the weight of her sword to advantage, using it as leverage to dodge and move about with a little more fluidity than what she might normally pull off without turning into a damned cloud. Couldn't really get more 'fluid' than a gaseous state, but she didn't want to make excessive use of the ability and run the risk of losing it the more her body healed.
Of course, if her body healed and she somehow managed to keep making use of that nifty ability, she wouldn't hesitate to make repeated use of it. She could see it being an ability that would annoy the Hell out of opponents, especially the angrier, more intent on smashing your face in types that seemed to throw a fit over the slightest flaw in a poorly formed plan that started and ended at 'smash opponent'. "I never said I wasn't confident. Just that I'm confident it would never, ever happen. Not the way an inexperienced gal like myself might envision it, anyway." Hasenya chuckled, readjusting her hold on Excalibur slightly as she raised an open palm. Within it she would generate a small smoking sphere of smoldering ash and embers, one that quickly grew in size to around that of a golf ball and then took on the same pinkish magenta color of her aura. "An' I think I handled your attack just fine, but I'm curious to see how you handle attacks that are less destructive and just downright annoying."
With a cocky lil' grin, Hasenya tossed the sphere at Tomina underhanded casually. It didn't need to hit Tomina directly, it just needed to get semi-close and then burst, unleashing flames in various directions and a large cloud of smoldering ash. Like the flames had created a shell around the initial smoke and embers the Elemi had created, creating something like a grenade.

Hasenya was quick to respond to Tomina's attack, firing her own stream of fire to meet her own. She wondered what her cousin could be up to. She knew that she wasn't going to be able to overpower her, even if Tomina was fighting in her base form.
Her question was answered when a small explosion briefly disrupted her flames. In the brief instant where her fire was expelled back, Hasenya managed to get herself out of there.
The stream of flames died down, until they stopped coming out from Tomina altogether. Her eyes followed her cousin’s every movement. She smirked over at her at what she elaborated on how she viewed about the hypothetical situation they had been talking about.
“Well you aren't wrong that it's an impossibility. Even if I wasn’t mated, there's still too many things going against it in order for that to happen. It looks like you aren't going to get flustered by anything I say, so I’m gonna save the pleasant conversations for later.”
When Hasenya tossed the strange sphere at her, Tomina quickly held out her hand and conjured an orange barrier shaped like a hexagon. She had mentioned that this attack was weird, so she was going to stay on her toes. The sphere burst, sending flames and a cloud of ash everywhere. The fire bounced harmlessly off of the shield, the ash clinging to the orange barrier. When the initial attack had dispersed, Tomina lowered the barrier, holding out her hand towards where she sense Hasenya at.
“Heh, That isn’t a bad parlor trick. But it’s only useful if you catch someone off guard with it. Obstructing my view won't do jack shit if you can't suppress your energy to hide yourself completely!”
Tomina fired a small, yellow ki sphere towards Hasenya. Her cousin wasn’t a novice, she would give her that. She still had a long way to go if she wanted to make significant changes with her own power.
Hasenya moved just in the nick of time, putting up the flat end of her blade as an added defense against the sphere of energy that came hurtling towards her. Excalibur would bend and bend, but Hasenya knew for a fact it would not break. There might be some force in the universe that could snap the holy blade, but a simple sphere of Ki probably wasn't one of them. She reflected the energy off her weapon as she moved to the side, attempting to ricochet it towards the ground or at the very least redirect it enough for her to be able to dodge to the side. Thinking on it then, she hadn't really tested Excalibur's sheath as a shield in awhile. Avalon was a pretty handy barrier in an emergency, so maybe a sparring match didn't call for it's enchantments. Still, she felt silly having forgotten about it until just then when it would have been useful not seconds before now. "Parlor trick? You haven't seen what that thing does to people that aren't in their element with it like you just were. Not to mention, fancy barrier. Energy suppression though. I'll have to invest some time into figuring that one out."
The Elemi put her hands together, creating energy between them before throwing her hands out towards Tomina and opening both of her palms simultaneously firing a wall of fire that traveled like any other energy wave. It was a technique she preferred to use defensively, but in this case she simply moved behind it. She was moving on the assumption that Tomina would remain stationary and simply dash her attack aside or block it with her barrier technique. If things were to go her away, she would go right in and try to bank on the brief distraction by punching her cousin in the chest and then use the weight of her shoulder to shove her away. "Who said you weren't flustering me? Maybe I just know better than to let that get to me in the middle of a fight. Give me some credit, eh?"

It was tough to make it out in the cloud of ash and smoke, but Tomina saw Hasenya block the energy blast she had thrown out with her sword. Hasenya had a fast reaction time and was able to improvise quickly. It was too soon to tell how good she was in those fields though. She would know Hasenya’s capabilities by the end of the spar.
“I’ve fought life or death battles since I was 3. You’d see a crap ton of techniques and fighting styles too if you fought all over the galaxy for 15 years. Tricks like that are usually used by fighters who can't take on their opponent directly. Parlor tricks like that have their uses if you know how to use them.”
A smart enough opponent could get an edge on the stronger, more experienced fighters if they came up with a battle strategy that would even things out. Of course, there were limits to how much you could overcome in that manner. If a fighter was too strong to close the gap, the best that an intelligent fighter could hope for was to stall them for time.
“The smoke and mirror tactics aren’t my style, but I'd you work on your suppression you can make the most out of your smoke and ashes. If that is how you prefer to fight, then it's something worth practicing.”
Hasenya’s next move was to send a wall of flames in her direction. Tomina pressed the fingers on her right hand together, and a stream of fire shout out of it. The blue flames twisted until it formed a giant arm of fire.
Tomina swung her arm to the side, the blazing flames colliding with the inferno that had been sent her way. Hasenya’s wall collided into it, stopping in its tracks. It was as though Tomina had put some energy into the flames, so they had a tangible form that could affect other flames. Tomina dispelled the flames around her arm, but the exchange was far from over.
Tomina’s left hand caught her cousin’s fist as it aim for her stomach. Tomina let out a small grunt as Hasenya’s shoulder slammed into hers, sliding her right foot back in order to keep her balance. A small smirk spread across her features.
“So you’re just hiding how flustered you are? I guess I’ll just have end this little fight so you will focus on me. Time for you to become the envy of guys and girls everywhere!”
Tomina would attempt to grab Hasenya’s shoulder with her other hand, and trip up Hasenya with her left foot. If all of that worked out, Hasenya would most likely find herself on her back, lying on the ground. Tomina would kneel down on both legs, her right knee pressing firmly against Hasenya’s stomach. Tomina would then thrust her fist forward, grinning as it stopped inches from her nose.
“So tell me, how does it feel to be underneath your cousin like this? You’re completely at my mercy now. But I bet that’s rather thrilling to you, not knowing what is going to happen next. Not even a time traveler would know what I would do in this situation.”
Tomina would slide her right leg forward, making herself a little more comfortable kneeling down. She would move both of her hands to the sides of Hasenya’s head, pressing her palms down into the ground. Now her cousin would get an unobstructed view of the wide grin Tomina was giving her.
Even if she didn't intend for things to go anywhere, Tomina loved getting a rise out of people. It pleased her whenever she made someone flustered, angry, or otherwise thrown off in some way. She really wanted to see how her cousin’s embarrassed face. Getting a family member that worked up would be an accomplishment in her mind.
Hasenya winced and closed her eyes as Tomina's fist came crashing down towards her face, a brief moment passed and when she didn't get the feeling of her nose being broken she cracked an eye open to see her cousins face grinning down at her. She wasn't very effectively pinned down in this position, but that thought didn't hit her as quickly as the feelings of butterflies in her gut and her heart sinking like a lead weight. "The Hell you mean the envy of boys and girls? Unless you mean in terms of strength, I'm.. not interested!" The hesitance in her words and shade of red coloring her cheeks betrayed her. She knew nothing that her hormone-fueled thoughts could conjure up would be something that could happen, and yet some part of her couldn't help but to indulge in that helpless and vulnerable feeling that said thoughts gave her. That was just a small part of her though, one that she kept in check while the rest of her was confused and angry.
She inhaled deeply and slowly, trying to dull her blush but only seeming to make it more intense. The Elemi furrowed her brow and glared up at Tomina, clenching her hands into fists, trying her hardest to hide her embarrassment behind mock irritation. "I'd tell you how it feels if it fucking mattered, okay? But it doesn't, it's too late and it.. it's just wrong. Okay?" Hasenya had to be flustered, or at least adamant about dropping the subject given the way she thought she could just end it by ending her statements with an 'Okay?' She hated this subject enough that if things were under the right circumstances, she might just go Super Saiyan and get her cousin to either drop or at least change the subject that way. That only made her wish that she could do it now, though.
"I don't wanna be whatever this 'envy' is, I'm not my mother. If I wanted to fight my battles with curves and pillow talk, I might've inherited her figure." Hasenya grumbled and shifted about uncomfortably, but that was just about the extent of what she could do aside from grumble and bitch. "But I didn't. I'm skinny, flat, and a foot in the grave and I'm okay with that. I don't.. I don't need that kind of approval." She added on with an exaggerated huff.

“Oh, you know exactly what I mean Hasenya. Don't try and play coy now. You can't pretend to be naive about it anymore.”
There it was! Her face had turned as red as a tomato. Now that they weren’t focusing on battling. Hasenya couldn't take her mind of it. It took all of Tomina’s self control not to let out laughter that probably would have been loud enough to shatter eardrums. She still had to cover a gloved hand over her mouth, balancing herself on her remaining hand as she tried stifling her giggling.
“Oh my god! If only you could see your face now! It's like all your blood vessels busted open! I can’t…”
Tomina’s voice was muffled behind her glove, since she had to keep it there to keep her giggles down. God, that reaction was priceless. She calmed down after a minute, lowering her hand and looking down at her cousin with amusement.
“You don’t need to say anything more. I’m not offended at all that you feel that way. I won’t make a jab at it again: it’ll be our little secret. I got what I wanted to know, and it was amazing!"
Tomina chuckled, moving her knee off of her cousin’s chest. Now at the very least she could move about on the ground again. It looked as though her embarrassment would soon end.
“But you know, I’m nearly as flat as a board and I don’t have nearly as many visible muscles the way most female Saiyans do, and I’ve put one foot into the grave more times then I can count. You could get any girl you wanted if you put your mind to it. Big breasts are overrated anyway. They’d only get in the way in a fight.”
Tomina stood up, bending forward and offering a hand for Hasenya to grab onto. Well at the very least she was helping her cousin get back up after utterly embarrassing her.
“I think we’ll take a small break before going at it again. You did really well Hasenya. You kept your composure in the fight no matter what I threw at you. You’re certainly better at controlling yourself then your mother is, or I am for that matter. Although I sometimes have to lose a bit of control to tap into my full strength. And your moves weren't half nad either. A little too unorthodox at times, but I like surprising my opponents too."
Tomina wasn't the type to hand out false encouragement. She did not sugarcoat things, not even to family members. To give Hasenya this praise meant that this spar had impressed her. She was quite the talented fighter, and was going to get better and better.
Hasenya sat up, still clenching her fists and flexing her fingers now and then to keep circulation flowing. "The fuck do you mean amazing? I don't think there's anything amazing about it." The Elemi put a hand to her forehead, putting her other arm across her then bent knees and leaning forward to rest against them. That little bit of 'play time' had left the Elemi with a throbbing headache and a strong need to indulge in one or two bad habits before promptly crashing. Hell, that might just be a good idea. She couldn't remember the last time she had more than four hours of sleep, and that was if she went to sleep at all. If she didn't want to continue looking like a zombie, she might look on starting there. Especially if she were going to be having a regular training schedule for the next couple of years. Hasenya sighed and reached for Tomina's hand, using it to support herself as she stood up.
She couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious now. All the scars she had were already pretty impossible to just not notice, but she did a good job of it most of the time. Now though, she kept taking little glances at them whenever her sleeves would ride up just enough for them to show on her arms, where she would then push them down and shove her hands in her pockets. Admittedly, Tomina's praising of her fighting skills was nice and all, but it didn't help her any. The subject they'd been on was a sore one, and left more than just a couple of her nerves pinched and poked at incessantly. "Well.. At least I still got somethin' going on." She shrugged her shoulders and then let out a short huff when the color started to disappear from her cheeks. "I think the talking wore me out more than the actual fighting."

“Well, it was pretty funny. At least, it was for me. You’ll find it hilarious when enough time has passed. At least, I hope you will, heh. Off you don't, well… sorry bout that… heh…”
Tomina closed her eyes, rubbing the back of her neck with a grin too sheepish to be worn by a proper Saiyaness. Apologizing wasn’t something that Tomina normally did either. Tomina could count on one hand the amount of people she had said “sorry” to without being sarcastic about it. Needless to say, Hasenya wouldn't hear that word coming out from her cousin often.
Tomina opened her eyes, noticing how Hasenya kept on looking at her arms, and kept on trying to hide them under her sleeves. Tomina had noticed the scars, and was curious about them. She figured now was not the best time to inquire into sit though. If she got through the tournament, then she would have all the time in the world to ask her.
“You’ve got a lot going on for you. And that's the idea. Words can be more effective then fists in a fight if you know how to use them. There's an art to it. I can teach it to you if you feel like that's something you want to incorporate into your fighting style. It's not something you’ll pick up from Chris, I’ll tell you that much.”
As Tomina grinned over at her cousin, a thought suddenly occurred to her. If Hasenya hadn’t found anyone she knew yet, then she was just wondering around Earth on her own. Well that wouldn't do in the slightest.
“Say Hasenya, do you have a place to stay right now? Unless if you brought back some type of shelter, being a time traveler seems like just a fancy way of saying that you're homeless.”
Hasenya kept nervously rubbing at one wrist and then the other, trying to keep her sleeves down. "I'll learn anything you think is worth teaching, cousin. We've got time to kill before I really need to get active on the whole.. Saving the future thing. I want to spend that efficiently, and based off my other options I think it's safe to say it would be best spent with you. Even if I already need a cigarette and a nap." She grinned back at her cousin, although far less sheepishly. It was a little bit amusing to see her like that. Not exactly a face Hasenya could imagine Tomina wearing. And it was true she would get over her embarrassment later, just right at that moment it was a little difficult to put her mind off of it.
When asked the question of whether or not she had a home to get back to, she quirked a brow and thought about it for a brief moment. "Well, unless the great outdoors counts, then certainly. But I really wanna say it doesn't because I'm absolutely sick and tired of getting bugs and sticks in my hair." She reached bag and ran her fingers through the length of her hairs and gave her head a little shake, flipping her hair as if hoping to shake any lingering intruders from off her head. "I could afford a place, but I've got better things to spend the money on. Temporary shelter is a shitty investment from what I've experienced, and besides.." The hybrid reached up to her breast pocket, pointing at the little red carton resting there. "These lil' bastards are expensive in this timeline. I don't know what the Hell made them so much cheaper twenty years from now but I hope it happens soon, 'else I'll have to kick that habit before I'm damn well ready to."

“Well, first I’ve gotta destroy the opposing universe's team in that tournament. Killing time will be next on the agenda though. You’ll certainly get strong if you stick with me, and won't end up dead like one of the last students I had. The idiot came here without authorization, and brought another one of my prospects with him.”
Tomina grumbled, the memory of Carva still annoying her. She had expected him to have enough common sense to not go into enemy territory on his own. She was glad she hadn’t had the chance to teach him in hindsight. He probably wouldn't have been able to utilize her style effectively.
Tomina wrinkled her nose as Hasenya explained her housing situation while rubbing her hair. Seriously? She had been sleeping outside? Granted Tomina had done that before, but that was back in her days of doing long term missions for the Empire.
“You’ve been walking around with bugs in your hair this entire time? Well your days of sleeping outdoors are over.”
Tomina took a capsule of her pocket and thew it 50 feet away. There was a puff of smoke, and a fairly large ship stood in the ruins. It was sleek and simple in design, and loomed rather imposing.
“This is the Incinerator. I had custom made for me on Saiya. It can cerro four people comfortably, is equipped with state of the art thrusters and a cloaking device, and of course, sleeping quarters. I’m giving you this ship for the time being. I don't really need it right now since the Gods are probably going to just teleport me to the tournament. And don't worry about dirtying up the place. Just make sure the ventilation is running if you decide to smoke in there.”
Tomina figured that this was much better than staying outdoors. Besides, there was another reason she was giving her ship to her cousin. It was just better for Hasenya to have it right now.
Hasenya couldn't stop her jaw from falling open at the sight of the 'beautiful vessel she had been gifted with the pleasure of gazing upon', or so she'd describe it in an exaggerated snobbish tone for the sake of a laugh. But nah, she simply stood there, staring. It reminded her a lot of her own old ship, except hers didn't have any of the fancy stealth drives that Tomina had been describing. It just got it's job done and was half-decent for sleeping in. When her cousin mentioned ventilation though, she thought she might faint. It was true that she was a fire Elemi, but she very much preferred to sleeping in the cold than in heat. Sweating while sleeping was almost as annoying a feeling as the feeling of any semi-confident woman having the ability to make her huff and squirm. The Hell made her so attractive after being burnt to a crisp and getting the vampire make-over?
"If I decide.. Hah, that's pretty funny. You know I'm gonna be kickin' back with the ventilation on with the view of space to go with my smokes." She grinned broadly just thinking about it. Of course the responsibility of taking care of this beautiful ship would come with borrowing it, but that was just another fun part about it. The Elemi had a couple of years under her belt with taking care of her own ship in between her years with Chris and then the ones she had with her timelines Tomina. Considering the time of her life it was during, fixing ships and doing all that necessary and usually annoying maintenance stuff was a relaxing activity for her, although that still didn't make her very savvy with other tech. That area in particular, ships and all, just happened to be some weird form of emotional outlet.
She turned back to Tomina, grin still plastered on her face. "I've already spent a good chuck of my life with you.. Given, it was you twenty years older and in a doomed timeline, but I don't think you two are that different. I'm more than confident that I can handle it.. I don't got a choice, to. I have a promise to keep and a universe to protect. It's a shame I didn't get here a couple of years earlier so that I could come with you to this tournament, but if things are mostly on track then you'll come back fine." Her grin faded and she took on a more serious expression as the possibility of her cousin dying because of her interference crossed her mind. She grumbled something under her breath, verifying some thought and then nodding to herself. "If you die there, I've still got connections and allies.. And you'll probably leave a good chunk of those behind. It'd fucking destroy me if you had to go like that, but I didn't let it stop me once and I won't let it stop me a second time."

Tomina couldn't help but chuckle at the look of astonishment on her cousin's face. She wished she had some type of recording device on her so that she could play back to this whenever she wanted to. Cause that open mouth was truly priceless, and she probably would it see it very often in the future. Well, she would commit this to memory and might even bring this up in a teasing matter sometime in the future. For now though, she focused on the present.
"It was a joke Hasenya: you'd be crazy to refuse to own this beauty. The Incinerator is very self explanatory to operate. I made it so that anyone using it could pick up and adapt to the controls to activate, so it's a very intuitive system. Of course it has an autopilot that allows it to orbit a planet, so you can indeed see the stars without leaving the system."
Her cousin was more then thrilled with the idea of owning this ship. It wasn't something she would give out to just anyone. She had just met Hasenya, but she felt like she had known her for years. Well, technically she had, but... now wasn't the time to get into the complications of alternative timelines.
"I figured my future self would have taught you how to handle a ship properly, so I doubt you'll end up crashing it. I wish you could fight alongside me too. I am allowed to bring any one person I want as a spectator, dead or alive. I would bring you but... there's someone I want to see again, one last time. Although in a way you've already helped me more then any of my teammates will. Just you coming back means that our universe still exists in 20 years. As long as I don't fuck up, everything will still be here after it ends."
Tomina's face turned somber as she thought back to Karen. After all this time, she was going to get to see her again. She would be damned if the universe was erased on her watch. This was a second chance to redeem herself. She would not fail Karen again. Tomina slipped her hands into her pockets, leaning back slightly.
"Your future's afterlife must be fucked in some way too. Death isn't necessarily permanent in this timeline. That idiot subordinant of mine who got himself killed managed to fight his way out of hell. And if that cocky muscle head can do it, then so can I. Still, after I leave for the tournament, if I don't return in two hours, assume the worst case scenario that I've died. In the event that happens, I want you to travel to Namek and find a Saiyan named Tarro. Well, maybe you know him in the future, since he is my mate. He's a Saiyan with spiky black hair and no tail. When you run into him, he probably won't believe the whole time travel stuff. Just tell him that you're one of my half-siblings and that I told you to find him. If he's suspecious of you, simply say to him "Red and Gold are best together without brown." He'll get what that means."
Tomina wasn't going to tell that to her cousin just yet, but it was an allusion to the fact that he had cut off his tail for her to show how serious he was about being her mate. The Red and Gold part referred to all the passionate things that came after that. Hopefully she wouldn't die in this tournament, but if she did, her cousin did have somewhere that she could go to.
"Tarro is.. Your mate? That Tarro?" The corner of Hasenya's lip twitched as she fought back the urge to keel over laughing. She hadn't gotten to personally meet many Kingdom Saiyans personally in her own timeline, but she'd heard of that one specifically from her own timeline's Tomina. She put a hand over her mouth and cleared her throat, not wanting to risk another cunt punt for losing her shit laughing over something like that. "I'm sorry, just.. When you told me you had a mate to begin with I wasn't all that surprised, even if you are you. But I didn't think it would be him, if anyone. Hell, I expected a woman sooner than a man. That's just like.. The third least expected of the list of potential mates I had in mind for you." Hasenya waved it off, she didn't want to go pressing her cousin for details on that little arrangement. It was odd to think that Hasenya could rely on the SGK as an alternative to turn to in the worst possible scenario. She had all the pride and stubbornness to make it somewhere among them, but that still didn't make the idea any less weird.
"I wouldn't know anything about fighting one's way out of Hell.. Perhaps people didn't see a point, or it was just too damned difficult. Either way, we'll never ever know." Hasenya shrugged it off. Talking about her timeline sucked enough on certain subjects, the afterlife wasn't one of them but it kind of came in the package with the death of loved ones. "You'll come back, I'm sure of it. And when the pieces are all in place, we're gonna find my mom. I know a lot of people aren't a huge fan of her, but she's still my mother. She needs saving just as much as the rest of the universe. I at least won't do like any other idiot and go jumping right in to a search and rescue type deal. I'm gonna be packing some heavy firepower before I ever consider a more organized effort."
She furrowed her brow, now that she was thinking about Flare. Would being a Super Saiyan be enough to save her mom? Was she over-estimating her own abilities and risking death on account of it, even with all her extra time and precautions being taken? She might have another Saiyan or two at her back, but if Flare were as well known as she was when Hasenya was a kid then it might take a little convincing to get any sort of help from the other half of her genes. And when it came to convincing Saiyans, she would need a great deal of strength. Maybe even more strength than she originally ever had. "Gonna be hard to convince anybody I'm part Saiyan with this white hair. I'll need the bulk to back it up. Or just dye my hair. That's an alternative I hadn't even considered before."

Tomina crossed her arms, glowering over at her cousin as she nearly lost it over the choice in her mate. She was normally very lax about that kind of thing, as long as it didn't get to a point where she couldn't ignore it. After all, Tarro could fight his own battles after all. Still, this was one of those cases where she couldn't just shrug it off easily. Maybe it just stung a bit more coming from a family member.
"You know very well I was going to have to push out a kid at some point. I have a royal bloodline to continue after all. And I sure as hell wasn't going to give birth to a child that came from the genes of someone with undesirable qualities. Besides, Tarro's proven to be the only person I can trust inside the SGK, or in general up until I met you. Just out of curiosity, who were the other mates that you expected me to be with?"
A part of Tomina knew she was probably going to regret asking that question, but it was something that she definitely wanted to know. Tomina had no answer for how she thought hell worked either. The afterlife was a strange place. Tomina shrugged her shoulders at the mention of Flare. It wasn't something she was really looking forward to doing, and Hasenya probably was looking too deep into it anyway.
"Flare was there when we were gathering to participate in the Tournament of Power. I'm sure she's around. Whether it's in the time chamber or some secret bunker in her fire themed mansion I'm sure she's around preparing for this thing. Although if she really is missing, then that would be problematic. There's only 3 people in the universe stronger then her in terms of raw power level. So if something happened to her, then maybe it's connected to whatever happens in the future. It would have to be a pretty significant threat to harm your mother in some way."
Tomina hoped Flare was just hiding under a rock somewhere. Cause if things were already happening to her, then they might have less time then she initially thought they would. She was hoping she would at least have a few years to train, but if something was already making a move now... well, one thing at a time. First she was going to have to win at the tournament.
Tomina shook her head in amusement at her cousin's remarks on her own appearance. Honestly, she had some strange notions sometimes. She never heard of anyone trying to look more like a Saiyan before.
"I don't look like a typical Saiyan either. You just got to display the right attitude, that's all. Of course if you want to change your hair color with hair products then knock yourself out. Honestly you should just get stronger and turn gold though. Then everyone will know what you are. It's probably good that you don't look too much like a Saiyan right now though. We aren't exactly popular with other races right now."
Granted that was of their own doing by invading pretty much every sentient race in this arm of the galaxy. Only Namek had escaped the major clashes that had gone on recently. Saiyans just spread death and destruction wherever they went. At least the ones in the Kingdom did. Although their reputation brought down those in the Remnant Alliance as well, as other species tended to generalize the entire Saiyan race.
