Tomina shrugged her shoulders. "A win is a win. Most of the time you shouldn't complain with how you got it."
The ship was decently size, but not the largest. So it was fairly self explanatory. It was fairly neat and well kept, despite Tomina's normal behavior. One would likely expect for there to be empty beer bottles littered all over the ground. There was a ladder in the middle of the room that led to the next level of the ship. Tomina pointed to a door down at the far end.
"There's the watering hole, so to speak. It's probably what you've been calling those things with all the outdoor adventuring. Feel free to use up all the hot water. When you're a self-made heater, warming water is a singe."
Well, who knew how long her cousin was going to be in there for. Still, there was no big rush to get to things. They had all the time in the world to sit down and chat. Even though the whole reason Hasenya was here was because she needed more time.
"I mean sure, in a normal fight. But that was just sparring and training."
She snorted when Tomina referred to the bathroom as a watering hole. "I mean, that's probably the proper term, but I think I liked 'fucking outdoors, I hate this stupid shit' just a little more when referring to a lil' secluded patch of grass behind some bushes or a creek to bathe in." She shrugged and wandered off in the direction of the 'watering hole'. Words couldn't describe how badly she had been wanting a real shower. She was pretty sure the last time she had a shower, the Tomina of her own timeline was alive and kicking. A depressing, but not any less amusing of a thought.
Kais, she could only imagine how she would smell if not for being some weird.. smoldering ash half-ghost type deal. Probably not too great. Most smells of something burning- especially those somethings that are living persons, do not smell the best when they're burning. The smell of smoldering ash and cigarette smoke is what she imagined she must smell like. Though if her defunct physiology had her trading off body odor for smelling like a smoker of fifty years, she wasn't sure how to feel. Neither of these things were good options, and she would likely end up showering at least twice a day to avoid any of that wacky bodily nonsense she's got going on. She was all about hygiene before, but now she could see herself almost developing some form of obsession. Not that anyone could really blame her.
She struggled somewhat with the top button of her shirt. The trickiest little fuck of the bunch, due to it's smaller size in comparison to the rest. From there, though, it was easy-going and soon enough she was almost forcing her way into the bathroom and starting what was likely the longest shower she would ever take for the rest of her life. All that hair on her head definitely needed a good hard washing. And who knows? She might look less zombie'ish once she comes out.

"That counts too believe it or not. I learned that when I was going through my own training regiment. Of course, I rarely got the advantage against any of them. They were all Super Saiyan level or higher and I couldn't compare to that yet, despite my talent."
Tomina chuckled at Hasenya's reaction. Honestly, her cousin had some of the best reactions she had ever gotten out of anyone she interacted with. It was part of what made her warm up to Hasenya very quickly. Other then her obviously being a family member who actually trusted her.
"Well, watering hole is a much easier way to put it. Calling it "fucking outdoors, I hate this stupid shit" would get tiring after awhile. Go on and enjoy yourself, you've earned it."
Tomina watched as her cousin went into the bathroom, then simply leaned against the wall. She crossed her arms and closed her eyes, thinking about the events that had and were about to transpire. It was all so strange, and she was partially unsure on where to go next. But she would make sure to adapt when things played out. If Hasenya could handle all the changes thrown at her after going back in time, then she would certainly be able to handle whatever was thrown in her direction.
Hasenya had not been kidding when she said she couldn't promise just how long she would been in there. If it had been a different situation, she would've been one of those relatives or roommates that use up all the hot water and all the spare time needed to get a proper shower in before the day could truly begin. Fortunately for her though, she wasn't wasting or ruining anyone else's time, and Tomina was a Fire Elemi just the same as her regardless. Hot water was no issue, and there was more than enough time to spare on hygiene.
When she finally came out, there wasn't any denying that she had certainly needed all that extra time. It wouldn't heal her completely, but she didn't look as likely to keel over as she did before. Either way, she was going to keep on hiding those scars of hers under that dark red button down and black overalls. Not only did she love the color scheme, despite how 'edgey' one might think it to be, but with all her signs of terrible injury out of the sight of others she could feel more self-confident. Self-confidence even if in unreasonable and frustrating amounts was a big part of the reason she had been able to get this far where so many others certainly would have failed.
She put her thumb against her pointer finger and snapped, creating an effect similar to that of striking a piece of metal against flint. This told her that she was full on battery once again. Not that it mattered, since the time for sparring seemed to be done for now. Although that only left her curious as to what sort of 'curriculum', for lack of better phrasing, that Tomina might have prepared for her. If she had even thought of such already. Hasenya came down the hall, approaching her cousin. After today, there was a lot more confidence in her stride. Very unlike that rhyme and riddle speaking coward that had approached Tomina earlier that day.
"So, if I'm gonna be stuck here without ya for.. Kais knows how long, even. What do you expect me to do other than simply 'get stronger'?" She asked, stopping once at an adequate distance, folding her arms and tilting her head slightly.

Well, her cousin wasn’t kidding about how long she was going to stay in the shower. Well that was to be expected, given what she had been through. She probably need quite a bit of cleaning, given she had been outdoors for an absurd amount of time.
When she got out of the shower, she walked with with a confidence that she didn't have when they first encountered each other. Her movements, her comfortable display of her power, all of this indicated that she was slowly but surely starting to believe in her abilities.
Tomina raised her eyebrow at Hasenya’s choice to put on her dirty clothes. She should have realized she hadn’t grown up as a Saiyan. As such she would be more self conscious about showing her body. Maybe one day Tomina could fix that too.
“I expect for you not to get yourself killed, and to scout for unusual activity. If you find someone with potential, try and befriend them, or at least get them on your side. We’re going to need all the help we can get if we are to succeed. I also expect you to climb up the ladder, go right to where my room is and change into something else. It defeats the purpose of getting clean if you wear the outfit you spared in.”
Tomina walked past Hasenya, closing the bathroom door behind her. A minute later the sound of running water could be heard. Tomina seemed to have gotten used to Hasenya in a short amount of time. She was already letting her use her wardrobe.
"Making friends has never been my forte. Though that just means I'll have plenty of hilarious stories to tell you when you're back. My luck can be bad, but it can make for amusing shenanigans." Hasenya nodded in acknowledgement of her cousins' words. For a moment there after Tomina had gone off to shower, she sort of stood there thinking that Tomina had meant a metaphorical ladder. As in, climbing up in rank or gaining power- The former of which she was trying to figure out how to, when she wasn't exactly about to throw her hat in the ring with one of the Saiyan factions just yet. Though she couldn't deny there were innumerable benefits to having strength in numbers, and plenty of strong Saiyans willing to help weaker ones grow. She quickly realized she had goofed, just as soon as her wandering gaze stopped at the literal ladder going to the second level of the Incinerator. "Nice job, ya philosophical dipshit with ya metaphors.." She snorted a laugh, shaking her head. That was honestly a pretty amusing little mistake she'd made.
She went her way up the ladder, and literally right to where Tomina's room was. No metaphors or philosophy, this time. She couldn't imagine Tomina had much that would fit her, but considering a slight inhale exposed her ribs, it became a whole lot easier. "Jeez, just how much influence has this lady had on my sense of fashion?" She muttered to herself as she dug around, finding that there was a large lack of things that she disliked. Tomina likely had a lot more variety than Hasenya, who stuck to things like long-sleeves and jackets and then only that, but she could still appreciate a lot of what she was seeing. Here's hoping she wouldn't find a surprise bondage set, or some spooky kinky stuff. It would be incredibly amusing, but also utterly terrifying and she'd likely be just scarred enough to forget about her insecurities and go stark nude.

“Something tells me that your luck is starting to change, and that you might be more successful this time around. Either way I have something to look forward to after I come back from the tournament. You’re more capable than you give yourself credit for.”
Once Tomina had gotten into the bathroom, undressed, humming to herself as she entered the shower. Hasenya had used up a lot of the hot water, so Tomina had to grab the shower head and heat up the pipes. That fixed the problem in a jiffy. Soon the water was at a temperature she liked and she could focus on getting herself cleaned.
As she relaxed on the shower, she thought about how the tournament might play out. Despite her best efforts she hadn’t managed to find out too much information on it. She assumed it would be a one on one format, but she wasn’t even in the light on that. It was almost as if the Gods were trying to keep them in the dark to make things more suspenseful.
Still, while the rules and her opponents remained shrouded in mystery, she was steadily getting to know her cousin. For the first time in awhile Tomina felt like things were going her way. As long as she didn't lose her, she would finally have a loyal apprentice who wasn't her mate.
<I’m going to put Hasenya through hell and back again to make her stronger. Although she seems to have already been there, given what she's been through. I’ve got to come up with something unique for her training regiment.>
After Tomina was done, she walked out and dried herself off with a towel. She didn’t want to track water all over the ship, so she stayed in there long enough to make sure she was significantly dry. After drying and brushing her hair, she made her way out of the bathroom, climbing up the ladder and going to her room. She shook her head in amusement as she found that Hasenya was still looking for something.
“You know, I don't have anything weird in there, so you don't have to be so darn picky about it. Or have you been wearing the same thing for so long that you don't know how to put on anything else?”
If her cousin looked, she wouldn't find anything strange or kinky. It seemed to just be fairly normal clothing for the most part, with some things that stood out like a black vest with golden lines on it that formed insignia on some places. Tomina herself really stood out, as she was wearing no piece of clothing at all. She didn’t bother to bring the towel with her on her way up.
It wasn’t like she was trying to put her cousin in an uncomfortable situation. Tomina was brought up as a Saiyan, and they were very comfortable about their bodies. They were capable of having casual conversations with one another while one or all participants had nothing on. It was just natural for Tomina.
The hybrid went over to her dresser, rummaging around for her undergarments. Hopefully she would find something suitable before Hasenya turned around. Her cousin just might die of embarrassment if she noticed her current attire. Or lack thereof. Maybe she would remain distracted with picking out her own outfit.
"I'm a black and red kinda girl. You've got mostly one of those colors, so I guess I am bein' a bit picky.." Hasenya huffed, starting to turn her head to look back at Tomina but just at the slightest, briefest of glances her gaze shot back around and down to the clothing. Her first thought was that her cousin was trying to fuck with her, and it was a hundred percent working. Her face was almost redder than the trim and accents of the bow she usually wore in her hair. She had put it aside a little bit ago, wanting to ensure her hair dries out before putting it back in. And yet without it, her hair seemed almost completely different. Without the bow her hair was naturally very messy sting out in places, with thick curls here and there that ended slightly spiked, like what other Saiyan hybrids would generally have. It would be sufficient to say that not wearing her bow would probably help her pass for a Saiyan if she were to ever need to. The Elemi likely had some strange technique for keeping all that brushed and then tied down with her signature bow. Only Kais would know where she learned such a strangely effective technique.
She definitely was dying from embarrassment, but she managed to keep it all internal and focus on trying to find something cleaner to wear. Now that she was thinking on it, gold wasn't a bad color for her. The only time she had technically worn the color was because of Excalibur's sheathe being blue and gold, and she despised how the color combination would clash with her red and black. Without blue to muck it up though, she was finding a new appreciation for the color. Almost to the point she might have to permanently incorporate it somewhere into her usual attire. "I'm just looking for something long-sleeved and loosely fitting. None of your clothes would seem to have an easy time covering the entirety of my arms and torso, though." She muttered, still quite red in the cheeks from the briefest glimpse of her cousin naked.

Tomina could feel it coming on. She really did try to hold it in. But that split second she saw of her cousins face. How red it became the moment she saw her. And that hair! Good lord, she had never seen anyone go from refined to wild and Saiyan-like with just a shower before.
"Well, I don't really have a lot of red unfortunately. Although if I just walked around naked around the ship you'd be red all day."
A fit of uncontrollable giggles left Tomina's mouth. Which was probably an odd sound for Hasenya here. Since Tomina usually just chuckled or laughed when she got amused. Tomina reached into her drawer, strapping on a black bra and pulling out a pair of black panties.
"You know, Saiyans don't mind walking about in the nude when they're on their own property, you know. Or don't care how much clothes they lose in the middle of the fight. I honestly thought you would be used to it by now. Did I not walk about naked at all in the future?"
For once, Tomina hadn't been really trying to mess with Hasenya. She just didn't really bother to hide her body on her own ship when she felt like she didn't have to put on clothing. She slipped on her pair of panties, then walked over to the closet next to Hasenya. She began fishing through the outfits for something suitable. She fished out a fairly decent sized black blouse and a white lightweight jacket.
"I don't have one thing that will cover up all of your skin. Although I reckon a combination of clothing will do. I often don't like just wearing one thing oftentimes, so this works out for you even with our size difference."
Tomina picked out a black tanktop for herself and a pair of jeans. They were part of the clothing she had taken from the department store which was already in the middle of being robbed. Unlike the other robbers, she got away with it easily because well... who was going to stop her? Soon she was fully dressed, looking over at her cousin curiously.
"Why are you so eager to keep yourself covered? You're far from the ugliest person I've ever seen. If I were in your shoes, I would jump at the chance to show off my cool scars. Although I am too vain about my appearance to keep my skin damaged to look more badass. Plus Saiyan medical machines make it hard for you to keep scars, you know?"
That was her own way of bringing up that she had noticed the scars during their spar together. At least the ones on her arms anyway. Tomina felt like coming out and asking her how she got them wouldn't be the right approach. And indirect way of going at it was probably the best way to handle it without triggering some kind of PTSD. Granted there was a risk of that happening no matter how she brought it up, going by how Hasenya almost broke down when she was forced to recall the memory of how the future counterpart of her cousin had died in the future.
Hasenya flinched as if Tomina had come up with a blast ready to be fired in her face when she had indirectly approached her from the side. She furrowed her brow and gave her nose a twitch, shaking her head at her cousin and returning to looking for clothes. "You sure did. But I still can't get damned used to it. It's startling how long it takes for Saiyans as it is, but then it just gets terrifying when it's you because you looked nooo different from yourself twenty years in the future, in terms of figure. Had my fuckin' head spinning for a second for more than the obvious reason." Hasenya shifted uncomfortably. If Tomina were really interested in knowing why, and was going to be wandering about half-nude if not entirely nude, then.. When in Rome, Hasenya supposed. In this case being the Kingdom of course.
She stood up and stepped back away from the closet and then reached down to start unbuttoning her shirt, revealing more and more of the gnarly looking burn scars underneath as she went up until letting the dirty button down fall off her arms and shoulders with gravity's help. Fire Elemi usually could not burn themselves with their own flame, and even most of the time not by another source of it. The belief was that it took fire much hotter than what the Elemi could conjure up to really truly injure them. So whatever had burned Hasenya, it had to be incredibly hot. Like she'd drifted across the surface of a sun, or had an unfortunate accident with a volcano. "It took all of what both myself and Excalibur had to bring me back here. This is part of the price I paid." Hasenya flexed her fingers nervously, then balling her hands into fists. No doubt she'd be getting something of an examination from her cousin, which she wasn't too particularly happy with. Not that she thought anyone could really blame her. She had really fucked herself up in coming here, and some part of her still believed that she wasn't exactly alive. As if she were on some fence between life and death, and that it wouldn't take much to just push her over to the death end of things.
Her skin seemed looser in some places, and yet tighter in others. The worst of her scars centered around just about where her heart should be. It wasn't that having her shirt off bothered her at all- She was as flat as a rolling prairie and perfectly happy with it, but having the majority of the worst of her scars exposed like this was near panic inducing. "These are not scars I'd ever want to show off in a fight. If I can help it, I'd avoid having my clothing destroyed. Hell, if it comes down to it I'm donning some Saiyan armor. It's just too much, I honestly hate it." She shook her head, and then pointed to that dim glow she'd displayed earlier on. It was far less noticeable this time around, but she did try to force it somewhat as to make sure Tomina could see what it was while she spoke about it. "I dunno what the fuck is up with my heart, but I don't think it's supposed to glow. I don't even think I should be alive right now, as if I'm some sort of.. anomaly. Like I shouldn't exist. But then this isn't my time, so I suppose that makes some sense to feel."
Base [x+1/x+0], Enrage [x2], Mastered Power [x5], Super Elemi [x13], Attuned Super Elemi [x20], Unleashed Super Elemi [x32/x24], Mastered Super Elemi [x35], True Elemental [x45], False God [x56/x55] True God [x60]
All of that made Tomina roll her head back and laugh. Now that was proof that there were indeed things that did not change overtime. She kinda hoped that she would grow out a little bit. Maybe a couple more inches on her height and a slightly older complexion. Still, she liked the way she looked now. So looking the same after two decades was a good thing.
"That's right Hasenya, you're back in the future again. Why did have to go and listen to my ill advise and run away? I beat the shit out of that monster while you frantically traveled back in time!"
Tomina bent forward, slapping her knees with hysteria. She was having just a bit of fun at Hasenya's expense right now. It wasn’t overly cruel the way her taunts were against her enemies. Still, it was probably not fun for Hasenya. Tomina stood up straight, her laughter ebbing away.
“Saiyans already don’t physically age until the end once they get old enough. And Elemi have pretty long lifespans. So 1000 years from now I’ll still be the most beautiful woman you’ve ever laid eyes on.”
Tomina was rather fond of blowing her own trumpet sometimes. While in battle she never said anything she didn't think she could back up, in private she showed a lot more of her vanity. Granted it wasn’t like she bragged all the time: there was nothing wrong with self compliments on occasion.
Hasenya was indeed the subject of examination once her shirt was off. Tomina’s eyes were focused on the scars that lined Hasenya’s body, and the glow that Hasenya said was her heart. Tomina cupped her chin, peering at the light with a thoughtful expression on her face.
“Well even if I did have these scads I wouldn't worry about my clothes being destroyed in a fight. The people I fight seriously tend to end up dead, so it wouldn't matter if they saw how hypothetically scarred my body would be. I can't say that I give no fucks about reputation or what others think of me. Usually violence is the answer for me. I don't know if that would work as well for you though.”
Tomina hoped to make Hasenya a little more ruthless with her training. She didn’t necessarily want her to be as brutal as she could be in a fight. But she did want her to have no hesitation going into a fight. Her cousin was rather self conscious about her scars. Tomina filed that information away: it was something that she could use later on.
“Well, even Saiyan armor will get destroyed. Once you get strong enough, you start fighting battles which make wearing it useless. Armor doesn't do much in the face of planet busters. Still, it doesn't tear as easily as clothes do. If you want to keep covered I would go with armor. Cause your clothing is inevitably going to be ruined in an intense fight.”
The whole exchanged was rather professional for Tomina. Not once did she look at her cousin’s upper chest, focusing only on the scars and the glowing orb. Tomina reached out and pressed her palm a gist Hasenya’s skin, right over the faint glow. Tomina gazed into her cousin’s eyes, a faint smile on her lips.
“Being the child of one of the strangest beings in the universe and traveling through time doesn't make you different from anyone else. You can feel my hand, can't you? You’re just as alive as I am. You deserve to exist, and you should beat the shit out of anyone who tells you otherwise.
Tomina pressed her fingertips gently against Hasenya’s skin, a rather comforting gesture for a Saiyaness to display. She withdrew her hand, reaching over towards the closet and grabbing the black blouse and white coat with red edges. Tomina held out the clothing for Hasenya to take.
“I imagine you aren't comfortable with walking around naked like I am. I know you said that you prefered black as one of your two favorite colors, but I think white would be a good fit for you.”
Tomina expected her to take the clothing as soon as possible. Or to reject it in favor of a different outfit. Hasenya certainly wasn't going to walk around naked: she was too uncomfortable about her own body. It had taken all her courage to show her this much. So Tomina expected for her to get dressed as soon as possible. Then they could resume talking without Hasenya feeling too awkward.
Hasenya couldn't help but wince and flinch feeling a touch that was not her own against her scars. They weren't tender like they used to be, it was just unexpected. "It isn't the nakedness of it that makes me uncomfortable. It's just the way these ugly fuckin' scars look that bothers me." She shook her head in response and then reached to take the clothes that she had been offered. Tomina hadn't been wrong, this outfit was a good fit, and not just in the literal sense. She had enough white as it was, considering the sheer amount of it she had with just her hair, but this was more than fine. "Correction. Child of the two strangest beings in the whole universe. There's more than a few reasons I take after you more than my own mom." Hasenya stuck her tongue out playfully and then carefully set the outfit at her feet, taking a step back to get the rest of her own dirty clothes off.
She seemed less reserved about taking her overalls off, the reason for which soon became apparent. It appeared as if her scars only sent so as far as her waist and down a little onto her hips, aside from that, her legs were mostly unscathed. Of course there were.. other things left unscathed, but we won't talk about those. Tomina most likely wouldn't be looking in that general area to begin with- or so Hasenya hoped. Without waiting around to find out, she quickly slipped into the new garb. It took her a moment to get adjusted to wearing something that fit her so very snugly in comparison to her other, much less loose fitting outfit. But on the upside, she didn't need to look in a mirror to see that this outfit fit her in more ways than just size. She just might have to steal it for special occasions.
"Don't get me wrong, though. I love my mother dearly, but given the situation we were all in.." She hesitated for a moment, moving her gaze away from Tomina while she chose her words more carefully. It would be too much to simply say that she considered Tomina to be the better mom between the two, and Kais know it would bite her in the ass real hard later on. "I was happier to have you looking after me. Lot more than I was with Chris." Yeah, that ought to do. It got her point across without being too on the nose. The hybrid cracked a smile. "Far more helpful in a dangerous situation, for sure."

"Those scars are historical carvings of all the shit you've been through. You should be proud of them. Still, if you are going to cover up, I think white suits you better then black. It doesn't contrast with your hair, but it fits together like a puzzle piece. Black doesn't suit someone who traveled back in time to save the universe as well as it does for me."
Tomina laughed lowly when Hasenya stuck her tongue out at her. Tomina kept her eyes on her cousin even while she was changing clothes. At least she was looking her in the eyes and not anywhere lower though. Her cousin had been through enough embarrassment for the moment after all. Inspecting her naked body while she changed probably wouldn't be something her cousin wouldn't appreciate.
"Well, I can't really call your mother strange. I have seen her type before. Except for that weird moment where she transformed on me in the middle of our fight. A ball of fire surrounded her, and when she came out, she let out a war cry before yelling out "SANI?!" at the top of her lungs. And then she punched the shit out of me. That was one of the weirdest fucking things I've ever seen. I don't suppose you know who Sani is, do you?"
Tomina was glad that Hasenya wasn't looking in her direction at the moment. A rare tinge of red was on her cheeks. Tomina rubbed the back of her hair, looking rather embarrassed. She wasn't used to this type of praise. Was she really that responsible of an adult to Hasenya?
"Well of course you would, I'm a lot more fun then that stick in the mud. I bet he didn't even teach you anything useful like that spirit bomb technique. I'm a much more practical person, and I make sure my students learn the essentials. Well, I've tried to make sure of that anyway. Heh..."
Tomina gave her cousin a sheepish grin. It was hard to admit to most people that her first two students were absolute busts. They didn't even stick around for proper training. Still, the both of them were rather comfortable talking about more embarrassing or personal things. Tomina finally had someone other then Tarro that she could confide in completely.
Hasenya couldn't help but roll her eyes at the mention of Sani. She hadn't heard the full story, but from what she had heard all she could tell was that it was just another past lover. She raised a hand and waved it, as if to wave away that subject. "There's more than one reason I don't bother with sexual or otherwise emotional investments like that. I think being stuck to my cousin is more than enough. and you saw what dying once did to me. The whole Sani deal I'd heard about was just another good reason to focus on my own strength." The Elemi grumbled, and then let out a sigh. Tomina made it really hard not to be more on the nose with her compliments when she brought up things like that.
"Chris wouldn't know fun if you beat him to near death with it and then duct taped it to his bloody, beaten body. You though, you know how to made our post-apocalyptic little shit stain of a universe livable or even fun, at best. Even as it all kept falling apart, we drank to keep the spirits up and beat the shit out of others to keep it that way. Of course, that isn't to say we weren't completely irresponsible idiots and staying away from the fighting.. It was the future you and myself that came up with the plan to use Excalibur to come back in the first place. A little tip from the local Kai didn't hurt at all. Their whole rule against interference is a hot load of bullshit, but beggars can't be choosers when said beggars are looking at being one universe short. I honestly think the most essential thing to be able to do during all that was just to have fun. which you did more than a good job of teaching. Put on top of all that cool combat stuff that Chris didn't bother to teach me." Hasenya curled her fingers and placed both hands at chest level facing the same direction so that one palm was placed against the back of the other. Tomina might recognize what it was Hasenya was doing. No ki would be gathered, however. "I haven't been able to fire off a proper attack in ages, though.. None of those cool ones you'd taught me, anyway. Just cheap Elemi parlor tricks." She gave a longing sigh and then lowered her hands back to her sides.
She could recall it as if it were yesterday when she picked up on that little technique. Now that she was all dressed though, she paused to reach down for her shirt to dig her pack of cigarettes out of the breast pocket. She wasn't intent on smoking one now, but she didn't want to forget about them for later. "Excalibur has always been in favor of what I would call quieter or sneakier techniques with lots of speed. Like, seriously. Invisible Air? Why wind, and why invisible? I think I'd get more desirable combat results out of smacking my opponent with a wall of little over a thousand degrees Fahrenheit while also lighting them on fire than I would with a shitty wall of wind." Hasenya shook her head, even thinking about that silly move now still made her want to laugh. "Turned out I was a fool to discount a lot of Excalibur's abilities, though. She had the ability to time travel, of all the damned things she could've been hiding. Not that it was intentional, or anything. Up 'till that point, she could only stop it for up to a couple of seconds at a time.. More of a dodging technique, than anything. It wasn't like she knew for sure if she could travel forwards or backwards."

Tomina raised an eyebrow at that. Flare had another lover? And she was a female? Tomina didn't think that she had it in her. Maybe she didn't know her aunt as well as she thought she did.
“So she cried out the name of a dead lover before defeating me? Why would she call out that name? This Sani person was nowhere near. How did I let myself lose to Flare? Ugh!”
Tomina scowled, muttering a bid of obscenities under her breath. While she had gotten stronger from the experience, that fight was going to be a sore subject matter with Tomina for a while. Next time the fight wouldn't end like that.
“Sexual and emotional attachments don't go hand in hand. I’ve fucked many people for the sake of just having a good time. As long as you can manage to keep things professional then there's nothing wrong with enjoying the company of others.”
Tomina snorted in amusement as Hasenya talked about Chris. She certainly had her differences with that hybrid. Once again, Tomina found herself smiling without registering it at first. It was just really fun talking with her cousin like this.
“Someone with a stick up their ass for twenty years didn't know how to have any type of fun. Who could have guessed that? I’m glad to hear that I don't get boring later on in my life. And I still have my battle senses and smarts about me. I was worried that I was going to become a responsible, well behaved boring person.”
Tomina grinned when she saw Hasenya form the hand signatures of one of her signature techniques. Her future self had been teaching her well it seemed. Maybe it would make things easier once she got to straightening Hasenya up.
“Well, that's where I come in. I’m going to beat you back into shape. It's as good as time as any for you to tell me how far you got in your training. Have I taught you the Super Galick Gun yet? Or do you only know the normal variant?”
It weird talking about her future self in the past tense, but it was the only way she could word things properly. She was interested in what Excalibur had taught Hasenya. She seemed to think that a lot of it was worthless. Tomina had a different view on the matter though.
“I don’t know whether or not that style would fit you, but don't underestimate Elemental attacks. Even more harmless things like water and air can be dangerous under the right circumstances. If you pressurize water enough and compress and fire a powerful wind blast, you can cut through just about anything. That being said, I prefer incineration and zapping my opponents too. We’re probably very biased on this, but fuck it, fire and lightning are the best.”
Excalibur really was a powerful tool. It was tempting to try and utilize it for her own purposes. She could turn the tide of the Alliance Empire War if she went back. Although even if the sword was working properly, Tomina would likely lose the majority of her power. Unless she traveled back far enough to train back to her current level of strength, she wouldn't be able to do much. Other than preventing Karen from dying. It was an entertaining thought to say the least.
“That sword is powerful, to be sure. I’ve heard that there exist certain races who can control the flow of time in various ways. It’s only by small amounts though, from what I’ve gathered. Being able to go backwards twenty years puts that to shame. You’re lucky such a valuable tool picked you as its owner.”
Tomina stretched her arms above her head, letting out a low yawn. It pressed her chest outwards, the tight material making the outline of breasts pronounced. Well, it was much better than her walking around naked at least.
“I bet you must be starving. I think we best eat before you collapse from exhaustion. You’ve got to keep your stench up for what the future holds for you.”
Tomina walked out of her bedroom, climbing back down the latter. It was a pain that the food storage was down there. But Hasenya would have no trouble following her.it would also be a good opportunity to dive into topics that she wanted to discuss with her.
