Hasenya shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really know. If I find her, I'll ask her myself and give you a better and more sure answer." While the hybrid would never support Tomina straight up killing her mother, she wouldn't stop the two from beating the shit out of each other if they really wanted to. In such a situation she might call herself the referee. She might not have known her mother for too long, but if Flare were anything like herself then she might get a bit too aggressive once her temper got hold of her and got her to really dish out some intense flames. She would have to make something out of a 'family vacation' of taking those two out to some uninhabited planet to beat each other bloody, just so it would be out of their systems for later on when it really didn't need to be. The river of time might bend, but it would ultimately not change its course, teamwork would be key to facing this unnamed oncoming threat. Her mother and Tomina were two of the strongest people around, but Hasenya didn't feel too confident that they could cooperate very well in as high a stress situation as the one she envisioned. She'd have to fix that.. And seeing as they were the two most important people to her, aside from the third who would be Excalibur, it was like killing two birds with one stone.
On the subject of casual sex, Hasenya felt herself grow.. cold, in a way. Sort of like steeling herself for an oncoming blow, except Tomina was laughing, not pulling her hand back in a fist to attack the hybrid. She pursed her lips and shook her head. "I'm already disinterested in.. those kind of encounters. If there's no emotional investment in it, it doesn't seem worth it to me. And while I wouldn't really know that, I don't much care to find out. There's simply no time for it. Being caught with my pants literally down by some universe devouring monstrosity is something that should stay in fucked up wet dreams." Despite that strange feeling of defensiveness, Hasenya chuckled. She hadn't meant to be funny, but she could find some amusement in the way she had worded all that.
Hasenya looked at her hands, flexing her fingers as she recalled her times being taught how to fire off one of her cousin's more powerful moves. "Admittedly, I've always had trouble with attacks that weren't based on my element or fired from Excalibur.. But given my flames aren't what they used to be, I think I'm gonna have to find a workaround or- putting it simply, get good." As her gaze traveled back up to look Tomina in the face, Hasenya cursed the Kais as she found she had chosen bad timing. She told herself that most anyone else would've stopped to glance for a moment, and in her case it was mostly out of curiosity and partially to ensure this wasn't some cruel method of messing with her that Tomina had come up with in the brief moment she had been examining her hands. She gave her head a shake and sighed, feeling that steely cold defensive feeling return at full throttle.
Her aggressively rumbling, empty stomach brought her attention back to more important things than contemplating protesting her cousin 'stretching that way in front of her', and to Tomina's words she nodded her head. If her ribs being visible through her shirt whenever she were to turn or even slightly stretch didn't make it clear enough that she needed to eat, then maybe the look her enthusiasm to enjoy a good meal just might. "If I were any hungrier I'd be passing out." She mumbled, hands clenching at her growling stomach until she reached the ladder, which she would follow her cousin down.

"Don't bother asking her. Not on my behalf anyway. If you wanna know more about one of your mother's lovers, then for be it for me to stop you from satisfying your curiosity. I honestly don't give a fuck about other people's sex lives. Unless if it's notable in some way."
Tomina resisted the urge to mention the unusual case of Flare and Caesar. She figured that her cousin wouldn’t appreciate him being brought up in that context. Well, probably any context actually. But that in particular didn’t seem like it would be in good taste.
The hybrid’s smile faded when her cousin expressed her views on sexual encounters, romantic or otherwise. She didn’t realize that her cousin felt that way about it. Well, she supposed it made sense, given the circumstances.
“Well, you’re already more of a paragon of good then both me and your mother combined, going by what you just told me. If you had told me that you would only do an emotional relationship a few weeks ago, I probably would have called you crazy over it. I suppose it would be bad if you fooled around knowing that the one who brings about the end times could show up at any time. But hey, I can think of worse ways to go then being caught with your pants down.”
So, she hadn’t been able to fully master the techniques that she had taught her. Well that was just fine: she now had plenty of time to get her cousin into shape again. Hopefully before she was forced to get involved in some major battles. It would be bad if she got involved in one right now.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’ll be in shape in no time. I can’t have a cousin who’s not able to handle herself against a decent opponent. You’ll learn how to do attacks outside of your own element like I have. I’ll have to make that a focal point when training you.”
Tomina led her cousin to the kitchen, rummaging around for a few things. "So, are you willing to wait for a few minutes or not? Because if you want to gouge yourself right now the best I can do for you is ration bars. If I have to eat quickly I just use those. Otherwise I could cook you something up. Although you might turn into a skeleton by the time I'm done, given how you look." Tomina chuckled, sticking her head in one of the cabinets to see what she was looking for better. Self esteem of others didn't seem to be something she took much into consideration.
Given how she had been eating recently, Hasenya was happy to wait for some actual real food. Those ration bars sounded about as appealing as a full-length conversation with Caesar. She had followed Tomina to the kitchen, watching her as she rummaged about, likely looking for something a whole lot more edible than ration bars from what she could gather from just observing. "I can wait. My first real meal in awhile should be a decent one. I wouldn't want to go passing out after eating something as unappealing sounding as those bars, that'd be a disappointment." Hasenya shrugged. Despite her words though, her stomach wouldn't shut up. Constantly growling and rumbling, urging her to cave and go for the easy option.
She held her gut with one hand and made a face, wrinkling her brow and mumbling unintelligible nonsense. She was almost Saiyan enough to give in to her pit of a stomach, too. "I could kill for real meat, and I don't doubt you've got that around here somewhere.." She trailed off, looking around the room to see if she could spot something from just lazily taking a quick look.

"Honestly I think dirt tastes better then the ration bars. Do you have any preferences as to how your meag is cooked? Or do you not care how it's cooked? Because you assumed correctly: I have a stash of meat in the fridge."
Tomina turned her head, looking back at her cousin. She was going to make sure she did the best she could for her and give her a meal that she would like. It wouldn't do if the first real meal she had after traveling back through time was something she didn't like. There wasn’t much in plain sight that looked edible: Tomina probably kept all the good stuff out of sight.
"Being fair, it would depend on the dirt.. Some of it can have a decent taste. The texture is almost always unbearable, though.. Gets stuck in teeth, too. And before you ask, I've been forced to eat dirt more than a handful of times. It would happen a lot before I really knew how to fight with my fists. It made for a pretty good motivator to learn how to dodge, as well." Hasenya would have preferred to avoid a weird look, or even worse, teasing from her cousin. She couldn't help that knocking someone out of flight and into the ground was a pretty effective means of causing damage. Even moreso when the impact is face first. She kind of asked for teasing when she decided to over think on the taste and texture of dirt and soil, though.
She fidgeted and furrowed her brow. Less dirt, more meat. The hybrid loosened up with a sigh while she thought the question over briefly. "Rare, actually. As Earthlings might say.. 'Still mooing.'"

Did her cousin not know her as well as she thought she did? It was like she wanted to be made fun of. Well, who was she to decline such an invitation? Tomina gave Hasenya a very wide grin.
“Sounds like you're quite the expert at eating dirt. You must have gotten gotten the shit beaten out of you constantly. I wouldn't be able to tell the subtle differences in the taste of different kinds of dirt like you. You have a dirtier mouth then I do. But I won't wash it out with soap.”
Tomina winked at her cousin before focusing her attention on fixing the meat. She had half a mind to make fun of her for that while mooing thing, but decided against it. She went over to the fridge, pulling out slabs of some kind of meat. It looked similar to steak. She turned on the top of the stove, setting up what she would need to cook it. Soon the meat was put above it. It would be a few minutes before it started heating up, so she started preparing with herbs and spices to enhance it a bit.
know this is going to be rough talking about right now, and I don't intend going into it right now, but this threat in the future... could you sense a ki signature?"
Tomina wanted to narrow down what she was facing. Just this one piece of information would help.
Tomina was exactly right. This was gonna be a rough topic to be on. Already she could feel herself becoming incredibly uncomfortable, fidgeting and nearly writhing. She was taking a seat, for this. "I couldn't give you the numbers, but.. They definitely had some kind of energy. An atmosphere of dread that had even you startled at times. This.. Thing, it was as if death itself followed with him. You hear the stories of how my father had a similar? Imagine that, applied threefold and any regular old person could feel it. It was the only way to know when it was time for us- rather, myself and your future self, to get the Hell off world." As she described it, it was like she could feel it once again. If she weren't already so ghostly, she would have grown paler. Instead, she could feel a cold sweat break out on her brow and an almost unbearable feeling of fear-induced nausea attack her empty stomach. "It just have had God ki if it made a damn play thing out of Nasu.. Not even his super saiyan combined with god ki could stop that monster. None of us could. Excalibur's power comes from a large sum of people believing in one thing mutually, but not even that could put an end to it." Hasenya's tone had dropped, her eyes wide and unblinking whilst she stared down at the table. Clearly, she was bothered, but this was vital information she needed to share so she would happily bear it.

Tomina worked at cooking the meat, her back turned to Hasenya as she listened to her description of the being that had caused her so much misery. She had gotten useful information from it this time around at least. Which was a step up from the previous vagueness regarding this being.
"If I have to work together with a squad to take down this thing then so be it. I'd much rather kill it one on one. If it defeated Nasu, then realistically fighting this bastard one on one isn't an option."
Well this narrowed down the possible suspects of what she was up against. There were very few people right now with God ki. And if this person was someone who aquired God ki in the future, then they were among the strong beings that currently existed. She would find out who this individual was and deal with them before they got the chance to do anything. Tomina flipped over the steaks, shifting them a bit on top on the stove. Soon Hasenya would be treated to a delicious meal.
"The most that even your future self could do was hold them off for me to come here. So unless you survived somehow and are somewhere having a well damned deserved drink.. Yeah, nah. Your chances of fighting him alone are zilch." Hasenya shook her head. She wouldn't lose Tomina again. Never again. She had one chance to not fuck all of this up, so she needed to get everyone she possibly could in on it. She rubbed her chin and narrowed her eyes, trying to formulate a plan to get more allies. Things like who she should target first and in what order. What she should say to each of them individually.. Having too be charismatic was gonna suck. "Speaking of Nasu, how do you think we should approach him with this? I figure that if I go to Namek and be around him for awhile I should kill two birds with one stone by getting some training in and getting him into the loop. If anyone should know it should be the universe's strongest fighter, right?"
She moved her hand to the top of her head, scratching at her scalp and cocking a brow. "Obviously I can't up and tell him I'm Jarvis's kid, and there's no guarantee he'll really believe either of us. Maybe there's some kind of passive work around? Like, eh.. Making sure everyone gets so strong that prior knowledge won't even matter? I dunno.. Fuck."

"Yeah, I figured that I wouldn't be able to do shit against that thing on my own. I'm hoping this tournament will allow me to interact with other strong beings that I could potentially work with later. Or at the very least maybe it will give me a possible suspect list."
Tomina went back to cooking their dinner, all the while thinking about what Hasenya said about approaching Nasu with it. The main issue was getting him to believe it in any form. Did they have the means to make him believe it? That was what it came down to.
"Well that all depends? Do you have any proof that would convince him right off the bat. Otherwise the whole I'm from the future schick won't exactly be believed. If you don't, then we may have to take a more indirect approach to things."
Tomina flipped over the steaks, shifting them a bit on top on the stove. Soon Hasenya would be treated to a delicious meal. Tomina was a fairly efficient cook when she wanted to be. It came from all those times where it took more then one to conquer a planet during her days in the Empire. Learning how to find and cook food was essential in situations where their own supplies couldn't be delivered. Hasenya would be able to experience the result of all that practice when that food was put on her plate.
It was almost impossible to stay focused now, with the smell of food assaulting her nose, and then by extension her brain. Her stomach came a'knocking- or rather, growling, that she put her undivided attention on the food that seemed painfully close to being finished. The slightest bit of drool seemed to trail down from thee corner of her lips as her eyes locked onto her food. Teeth clenched, with a hand holding her gut, she barely held back a groan. This was like trying to tolerate stupid people after a week of not indulging in one of her many bad habits. Almost impossible to do. She shook her head clear of it though.. At least somewhat. "Ah , uh.. Huh. Proof." She repeated, focusing onto that topic. Rather than food that hadn't yet been given to her.
She couldn't promise she would be able to go on about serious topics after being given her meal. The hybrid could see herself eating and then promptly passing out on the nearest appointed surface. Preferably comfortable and not on the floor. "Well.. Shit. I don't have any good proof at all. At least none that wouldn't get me killed for showing off. You could vouch for me, I'm sure. But that's me assuming he trusts your word. If I play that conversation wrong, he could convince you I'm lying. And honestly that's the last thing I need right now. I don't need to be cut short before I'm even just beginning. Maybe the passive approach to helping would be better.." She trailed off mid sentence, looking for a proper way to complete her thought. "I suppose the best I can do is get stronger on my own? Hell, this whole tournament thing might let you warm him up to the fact in some way. If you're gonna be around him so much, anyway."
This was beginning to feel a little bit like a hopeless situation. She had a whole other list of people that would nerd convincing, too. Would they all be this difficult seeming?
Base [x+1/x+0], Enrage [x2], Mastered Power [x5], Super Elemi [x13], Attuned Super Elemi [x20], Unleashed Super Elemi [x32/x24], Mastered Super Elemi [x35], True Elemental [x45], False God [x56/x55] True God [x60]
Well that was unfortunate. If Hasenya no hard proof than convincing anyone of what was going on was going to be difficult to say the least. In fact, she didn’t think there was a way to convince anyone without hard proof.
“Fuck. Unless you show off that proof, than we’re going to have to take a more indirect approach to things. If you don't want to take that risk, then we need to try and change things from the shadows. And not tell anyone about the future unless we have no other choice.”
Tomina turned off the stove, reaching up and getting some plates out from the top cabinet. She used a spatula to put each piece of meat on its own plate.
“The tournament shouldn’t last that long. I’ll make sure to get you into shape once everything is said and done. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to talk with Nasu about certain things. Although without proof it would probably end up going to shit.”
Tomina got some silverware and napkins, walking over and placing the peace of meat in front of Hasenya. She placed her own on the table, sitting down and preparing to devour the meat she had cooked.
"I have Excalibur, your word, and likely an angry entity or two that hasn't yet reared it's ugly head to back my word later if not sooner. It's better than not at all, but it's impossible not to stress over the possibility of him simply dismissing me." Her brow remained furrowed and she let out a low, quiet, and almost guttural grown. Stress and hunger made for a terrible combination, as if they intensified each other. Guess it really went to show that stress could be a big waste of energy.
With food then placed in front of her, and more importantly, in reach, Hasenya went to town. There was no denying after that point that she had a good bit of Saiyan blood in her, despite even her obvious starvation while she went to town on the presented meal. It was questionable whether or not she truly got a taste of any of the food she was almost forcefully putting into herself, on some level dismissing her previous complaints about how tasteless the food she had been eating during her time in this timeline had been.

They didn't have much to work with in that regard it seemed. Still, what they has was better than nothing. Although what they did had was likely best kept until the right moment.
“With your sword in the state that it's in, you won't be able to do that much in the way of proving yourself. Honestly, the best way to handle this is to just to have you join the Kingdom so that we can influence things so that we’ll be much more prepared. He’ll accept another warrior for the kingdom, trust me.”
Tomina chuckled at the noise her cousin made. Honestly, she had the cutest of reactions. Tomina refrained from making fun of that though, as well restraining herself from teasing Hasenya about the way she was tearing into the food.
“Heh, you better savor that meal. Cause I’m not going to cook for you all the time. I can teach you how to do that too you know. You’ll be a decent cook when I’m through with you.”
With that, Tomina sat down and began to eat. She was both refined and undignified when eating it, cutting up her food with silverware before shoving it all into her mouth. They ate like this for awhile, planning on how to deal with the things to come.
