Timing was such an essential part of fighting.
The demons being in this realm and not within their own, already served to be a ticking clock, counting down to the arrival of those gathered to fight within the Tournament of Power. Those who were here trying to defend the city, whether they had business doing so or not, were merely just distractions.
What would happen, and the kind of changes the demons were expecting to happen, all relied on the idea of being too late to doing anything. This whole mortal level business was supposed to keep the fighting powerhouses from kicking out the demons off this planet and back into their realm.
She might not have met the deity enforcing this herself, but that Elemi woman had told her enough that it seemed assured. Of course, with every plan that seemed like it was simple enough to go well, there were obstacles that made that less so. How can mortals be expected to show respect to gods, when they blatantly ignored power they weren't going up against? Had the gall to throw around accusations, and act as if one was oblivious to the obvious?
This self-righteous was exactly the reason beings like the Wendigos and Vampires existed. The former was meant to punish idiots too stubborn to give respect where credit was due, by filling their existence by what seemed to be constant pain and hunger. While the latter a long look at monotony, and coming across those who could humanize them. Make them regret the idea they had childishly chosen the path of gaining power, and long for the life they formerly had, knowing the exhaustion that could come with such responsibilities. She wasn't an exception to such things, and the current situation was taxing.
So much planning and what ifs on whether or not things would go down a certain route. She had always accepted the idea she might die to someone, even before coming into an influential position like Capsule Corp. Death was just so natural beyond those who weren't of her kind, and the act of using ki in the ways that she and many others did, for their own purposes, only encouraged that. It would be naive to believe her own actions wouldn't piss someone off.
But she was willing to take that risk. It was what motivation was, and her own desire to stay alive, continuing to act within her own interests, was what had kept her going. No one, not even those working with her, could ever carry the kind of devotion she held for those she had an eye on. They might have been capable of understanding the gist of things, and what it meant to her, but it was her own goals which she tried so hard to have them succeed.
So many of those she had met in the past, or in these recent few months, were used to the kind of comforts one wouldn't expect they'd be able to afford. Gravity chamber simulations that could trick the mind into believing they were on an entirely different planet, rather than a simple weight on the body that required effort to move around in, being one of those things. Mansion homes with elevators leading to lower floors being another one of those things.
The existence of such wasn't anything she was surprised about, but were stuff she lacked herself. She wasn't no technical genius, nor needed to be. Those who were well off in some way, stayed that way because they were careful with their money, making investments in places they could get returns from.
It was one of her best areas, while those working with her, had their own areas they were better at. She wouldn't call it a dependability nor a weakness, as time would be needed to try learning any of those for herself. But it was a wonder how, even knowing of their mixed heritages, why there were several Saiyans who could somehow grasp the idea of working on technology, like it was some kind of given instinct. And also somehow still be a stubborn idiot, whose running mouth made them certain to die by her hand, or someone else. There was no logic to it, and she hated the fallacy that came with idiots that were able to effortlessly figure something out, that she just couldn't see for herself. How could a viewpoint be so overly simple or complex, something like innocence could solve it? She detested such things, and they were a pain on her mind, knowing it couldn't just be explained that it was all luck.
But they were still the least of her worries. It would be a delusion to believe there wouldn't be greater troubles, and as much as there were certain individuals and things that annoyed her, they weren't going to always be a center of focus for her. Perhaps a reason for her to go on, but hardly anyone or anything worth noting down the line, other than what they could offer her. She needed to move on from how they troubled her in the past, and focus more on how they'll do so in the future. Being here and working with a portion of these demons, also included how she would deal with them in the future.
There had been so many mishaps their kind had involved themselves in, for this invasion, their battles here could have easily failed because of their own incompetence. Though they had practically won now, seeing what had happened to one of this planet's best fighters, whenever the powerhouses were busy.
All of the lights and shadows that danced across the ground from her array of ki waves, had fallen down so quickly, guided by her own will and concentration. The chills that she had felt, which made her feel as if she was slowly being encased in a tomb of ice, still lingered around her body, even as the sensation was replaced by heat and beading sweat. Though it wasn't the same as being forced to move under heavier gravity, having to fire off so much ki, while also controlling each and every one of them, was no easy task. The slightest of wrong movements and angles could end up changing so much.
Back then, the swordsman had made it seem so easy. This technique was something she had made into her own, like everything else she had observed of her allies, but they weren't and couldn't be the same way as they had done them. Even if she saw it through their own eyes, she was likely to go back to her own method for handling things, for it was through her own power. A technique like this, she felt it was appropriate to add little shifts at certain points of its travel. Through doing so, she was left eased somewhat, and taking a hold of it again, seemed as if it was going better than it would have otherwise.
Thought was so much different than application, yet could also be a hindrance for those not careful. She couldn't just keep watch, or just feel for where she was leading things. There needed and
was a mix of both, eying who she had wanted to target. The Queen of Demons had lived up to her end of the deal, although surprisingly used a technique stronger than she would have expected from the woman, while one of those demons had finished the job.
There were only two routes she would have considered to be ideal and fitting of her interests. Either these two would kill each other off, or the Demon Queen would kill the swordsman. The swordsman had been easily struck, his life lost and gone, moving away from the path she had wanted things to go.
She was more exhausted than anything else, as before the giant technique could reach the two, it had swerved up and flew back into the skies. A portion of her life, and what was there for her in the future, she knew would likely involve moments where people tried to force her into doing something. No matter what their morals where, it was like they were so against the idea she was capable of doing what she envisioned, the same way they had talents elsewhere.
And they were wrong for it.
The aura that had been flaring around her body, was dying down away from the pink, and back towards its previous cold and wind. Although it was much weaker, and sending the attack away elsewhere, wasn't something that lifted the feeling she had of carrying a weight over her shoulders.
Her mind was still tired, and with the lingering cold that still persisted around her body, she knew for certain that she was beginning to reach the limits of this form, and around beings she was just no longer capable of being around for days on end. To lie down somewhere for what felt like might be hours, was inching its way to being the dominant thought in her mind. And the power that was within this form, she could tell was on the path to slipping away.
To feel so weak, wasn't at all anything new. But she hated the feeling that came with what she considered to be uselessness. All of these hybrids held these unnatural talents for renovations and the like, choosing to treasure or most likely ignore what they had. Claimed they showed effort where there was truly none, if they were capable of mocking those who were in a position of power, who would have been shown respect in an ideal world. No matter how hard she could try and have those working with her, to see things her way, nothing was ever going to be as perfect as simple ideas.
Even her own efforts meant more to herself than anyone else, but that was what mattered, wasn't it? Supported by the other Vampire, whose body she really felt like nestling into, she found herself carried towards the Demon Queen, who seemed to be under the effects of that gravitational pull the swordsman had released. One which she had long ago trained herself to endure, having experienced the other end of it before, and not wanting to suffer to it again.
"No matter what you think, that swordsman is probably watching from heaven right now."She smiled through her exhaustion, knowing with that man's death, it didn't matter whether or not she had spoken out loud. She wasn't even sure if she was even capable of using telepathy right now, knowing her power was being drained from her, as her body was slowly reverting back to her base form.
One of her blood flasks had been taken out of its compartments, and fed to her by the other Vampire, which she had accepted. She gained more a sense of alertness, but that was all it was in this state. She would need so much more to gain back what she had lost, no matter how strong the blood was.
"I'm assuming betrayal had popped into your head, didn't it? I guess if there's a couple things I wish to admit to you the most, knowing there's not much time to do so, the first would be Caesar's lingering memories within me. Ones which have practically been made my own now."She thought back to how earlier, the Demon Queen had outright denied the idea that there were any feelings she had towards that man. Even if it wasn’t love, there was something there, or else what would he have been beyond a memory? Just another face among many this woman had likely manipulated.
”I’ve said it earlier and I’ll say it again, how certain it is you feel something for him. It might not be love, but he could easily have been another face you’ve manipulated, if there were no attachments to his power or whatever else.”Her words were still something the woman could deny like anything else, but it didn’t matter, did it? She knew through her heavy breaths, she was the one currently at an advantage here, about to take the opportunity she saw upon seeing the woman for the first time. This wouldn’t be a memory she’d forget.
”Which leads me to the last thing that I must admit. I don’t currently believe in the idea of emotional attraction, but I know for certain I feel a physical one for you. Makes me wish you had agreed to a blood contract so I wouldn’t have to be so obligated to keep up appearances.”If her heart had still been beating, and she could truly feel flustered, the kind of adrenaline that her inner blood magic was deluding herself into feeling right now, would have been so much more genuine. But with her current state and her lack of flowing blood, the woman would only feel a cold dead body.
Aiming for one of the Demon Queen’s supposed weak spots in what was ultimately just caressing, her eyes had closed as she had opened her mouth, fangs protruding to fully go for the bite that would be more enjoyable than when she had tasted what that blonde queen had.
Chu.
So much energy was being tossed around.
Yet, she could feel no one else who was in the area, had stopped their attacks even momentarily, from the weight of it all. Many things that her lady had considered to be wrongs, were presented and discussed with her and the others, primarily in regards to what it meant to have power and to use it.
How quick perceptions could turn with aiming one side over another, had its role in how either side treated you in the future. They were so willing to toss away the ideas of what position had meant as well, viewing themselves to be equal to someone well above them, which is what she understood to be the rage that would continue to fuel the other Vampire. Respect, no matter what actions were taken by those individuals, were not given like what they deserved.
The people who were fighting here, didn't view things politically. Rather than what was going on between these three, being seen as figures fighting and carrying the weight of who they were representing, these other would be defenders likely viewed at least the two women to be just someone powerful that needed to be stopped. People they could get the advantage over, grouping together in numbers, no matter the gap of power these two had together.
Failed to see how it was the demons who tended to prolong their fights for their own enjoyment, seeing how the Demon Queen had held back such a technique, rather than just kill them on sight. A technique that could turn the other person to stone, if they were hit by it. What other reason could there have been, with not using such a thing before? The woman was well over the power of that swordsman, she could have so easily avoided this gravitational weight.
She didn't really understand it, and the viewpoints that she was picking out while watching everything happen from the side, waiting for her own opportunity, was nothing more than what she figured the brunette had believed in. Too many times had the basics been explained to them, that even without knowing whether there was any further telepathic conversations, she was the likelier one of the others, that could guess their lady's reasoning.
It was a considerable measurement and opportunity of how much things could have changed, as she charged forward, and tried to strike her fists at the fully petrified form of the swordsman. Those two came off so forgetful about her being around, and knowing she hadn't received further communication from the swordsman, he had likely believed it was up to the other Vampire to stop the Demon Queen. The trust that she was taking away from him with this action, she knew the universe was going to get back at her for. But the swordsman's death was supposed to be ensured, rather than a false belief it might not be so.
It was a relief to see one of the demons had taken care of that, before she had even tried, and not too soon after the other Vampire turned her own technique away from the two, and shot it back upwards into the skies. She could hear and feel the exhaustion such a maneuver took, and had been more than ready to catch her lady from hitting the ground. All of that power was decreasing so quickly, even the aura was beginning to die away into nothing.
Yet, she saw the other Vampire gazing in the direction of the Demon Queen, struggling against the pressure of gravity, and knew the brunette had wanted to get closer. She knew her lady currently had energy at her disposal, but physical exhaustion differed greatly from that of mental exhaustion. That demon moving away a little from where they were, made it all the more easy to get closer to the Queen of Demons, carrying the other Vampire in her arms.
"You saved me some trouble, not having me strike the swordsman myself. And your queen has lived up to her end of the deal. However, it seems my lady has chosen to knock yours out, before her power completely slips away. She won't die, and this current exhaustion of my lady, already guarantees any mishaps would be on your end. I warn you not to interrupt, as these two are better off knocked out. We will head off to Bris immediately after."It was the best warning she could have given to the demon, a single hand getting ready to charge an attack, in the case that the other Vampire was interrupted. One that she'd fire off should that happen. The demons winning already made it complicated, returning here once her lady recovered.
She had carried the other Vampire like a wedding bride, digging into the other Vampire's blood compartments, pulling out a single flask that could help with the exhaustion and feeding it. Though she knew it wouldn't be enough to stop the reversion that was happening as they got in front of the other woman, more quickly than they would have, if she had been able to strike at the swordsman. The demon's own words and possible refusal for what the brunette might have been aiming for with this opportunity, also put forth a sense of urgency, knowing each telepathic word was time that was being wasted.
There was no resistance, no disapproved look. What her lady had wanted to do and tell the Queen of Demons, was going to happen the way she had likely envisioned, knowing there was no true danger from any one of these would be defenders. Although she couldn't help but personally feel and see the danger in trusting the demons wouldn't betray them, in this moment of weakness. She wasn't strong enough to protect her lady, if the Demon Queen wasn't knocked out.
Lithi, from the feel of the Elemi's power, was likely out of control again. Going around to mock, and bring up what ifs, knowing the alien had an elemental body whenever she had actually let loose the power she held. It wasn't at all the kind of passive behavior they were so used to seeing from the girl.
She felt the brunette in her arms, soon move away from her completely, and watched as some caressing had happened. Far more than what she had seen the swordsman had done for his final moments. In the end, her lady had ended it in an attempted bite towards the woman's neck, which with the current power that she was feeling, should have been more than enough to knock the woman out. If reinforcements had came to kill them off in some betrayal, she'd at least have a better chance, if this had succeeded. She had yet to drink any extra blood today herself, and had that going for her in her own safe compartments.
Whether the other Vampire had been successful or not, she found the woman nestling into her, legs wrapped around her waist, as her lady's head rested onto her shoulder. The reversion was still going on, so soon enough, this situation would look less silly, having someone so grown, be in her arms this way.
It would be difficult getting away if they were betrayed, but they should be able to manage.
A joke.
That's all this kid really was. Even if it was because of her own worth, why couldn't she have seen that before? All of this talk he kept going on about, with trying to get people to fight him, and then actually
daring to think he was better than her. Go do this, go do that.
It all sounded nothing like a hum to her now, being in this form, and getting to grasp this power once again. Her whole body ignited so perfectly, and the parts of her body where she could remember had frequently pained her, only now bursted, its heat showing off just what she had. It felt so good to feel free from troubles so easily solved. The thought of being afraid, was more of a dance than a hum, knowing how much of herself had been worrying about hurting others. But what did that matter now? Clutching her hands of hers, even in the slightest bit, there was no pain. Things had felt normal. Whole.
She knew she was going to have to go back to that lesser state and feel sorrow for what she did here, while that quiet voice in the back of her head had told her to stop, but those were troubles that didn't belong to her. There was nothing for her to even worry about. This kid and what transformations he could pull out of his ass, would be nowhere near enough to stop her from killing him. A fate that he clearly deserved, seeing how over and over, he had done nothing but stand around and yell for people to stop him. There was no sense to it, just as much as why he was here in the first place, helping a planet that wasn't his. He was a Saiyan, and that Vampire had made it pretty obvious that while there were good ones, they were told to stick on Namek.
And the demons here couldn't even touch her, if they didn't want to be hunted down in the future. They could extinguish her, but it would mean their deaths. They probably had already gone back and forth begging for their own lives, if that Vampire had really marked that mage for death.
Their people dying wasn't going to matter, and even the demons that she did know who visited the mansion, had lives that could die like the rest. If only, if only, they chose that mistake. All of that nonsense that Vampire came up with, it didn't matter to her. That woman and the others kept on saying that she had fought just as much as a Saiyan that they knew, but that girl wasn't an Elemi, and ki could only go protect her for so long. Much like with this kid.
It was going to be the end of him here. If not because of her, then one of these demons that could fire at him. He was the one who was the annoyance here. And how he had even managed to live for so long, she could hear more of a choir than a dance, slowly building up to that moment his eyes went blank.
This brat had the chance to fire, but instead of doing that, he did what else but freeze in place? And she could have just thrown a better attack at him too. That part of her that had only wanted to give him something to fight for, it was all nothing but squashed right about now. A weakness of the girl in her head that didn't even want to grasp this power. Someone who was full of pain that could have changed that, and done so much more.
Wanting to make that Vampire proud? Hah. No, that didn't matter at all. Yeah, that woman was stronger, and might as well always would be, but why bother kissing up to someone like her? This power was hers, and hadn't been used for so long. Everything she could accomplish by helping kill this kid, it was because she had decided to do so on her own. Wanted to see his skin and anyone else who even dared to touch her, crisp into nothing but black.
He hadn't chosen to fight at all, probably shaken up or something dumb like gathering more rage. And it was because of that, she found herself launching at him again. One blink to the next, she had moved away from the spot she had been, going on to try and strike at him back and forth.
The feeling of grabbing onto someone she knew wouldn't be able to handle the heat of her body, it brought out the kind of feeling she wouldn't have felt, from just healing people. The screams that they could let out, and how closer this kid's death was with any hit on him, she could practically hear it all.
Her own movements, and the sight around her, all seemed like they had zoomed her forward to that spot, more than her actually putting in any effort into doing it all. And the moment she had moved out of the way of those other two, who could have been stupid enough to hit her, she had started charging the attack she should have used on the kid in the first place. It was going to kill him for sure, without any chance for him to even move at all.
And he was going to burn into nothing.
Her head had felt so heavy, and her body had felt so sore.
It was different from all of those times that she had trained against some other demon, working herself until she had been exhausted, and every movement filled her with pain. This was much more like she had lost her strength, and it wasn't something that she would have gotten back. It had been too long since she had ever felt this way, knowing how much she had build herself to be stronger, and wanting to grasp what she previously never had for herself.
For her to feel like this again, how could she have really gotten so afraid? The answer she knew to be inside of her, flashes of that woman coming to her mind, and the only thing she saw that came through to her, was a fist or ki coming for her. Quick, and the feeling of pain had gone through her with it.
But that was the problem. Someone like that woman could so easily wipe her life away. All the strength that she had build to get to where she was, gone in just an instant, without much of a fight against it. Her blades could slash away at that ki, but it wasn't ever going to be enough. That woman had outclassed her and so many other demons in power, and those who she allowed to be alive, were because she wanted to use them. Order them around.
The death of those two mortals, they were supposed to be all it. She wasn't supposed to have worried that woman for awhile longer, knowing she'd be satisfied for some time. But that attack and the power it held, they all flashed through her mind in a different place and time away from here.
This technique, that woman had wanted to be her own. To do what she had wanted with it. No, to kill who that woman wanted with it. Using something like that, it was just going to show that she had been with that woman long enough. The other demons already looked at her like she would really betray Makai.
But that was the only thing she knew she wouldn't have listened to. Someone like her wasn't suppose to cower to these mortals. That woman wasn't one, but those she was with were. Faces that woman wanted her to remember and recognize, as if that would somehow stop her from attacking them anywhere else. Here.
It wouldn't work. It wasn't. She didn't want to keep living like this. Pieces of the partial mask that was covering her face, she could feel had started to crack a little, and just barely, she had opened her eyes as she stopped the force of herself trying to do that. She wasn't one of those demons that wanted to just talk. Had the kind of faces that would even look anything close to a mortal. Wasn't ever going to be one of those kind of demons.
The others could keep on trying to give up what made them look like demons, but she was never going to allow that for her. Fear and everything else she felt for that woman, she had ignored the feeling in her heart where it gathered, slowly pulling herself up as she saw the mortals who were alive running away.
She hadn't managed to pass out for that long then. She still felt weak all around, her energy not really gathering up because of the sand that girl had threw at her, but she didn't need all of her energy, or the pain she felt right now to go away, just to be able to slash at the girl a final time.
The others had wanted her to stop, but the energy she had felt from that woman had all died away. Like she answered already, they had won here. She didn't want to accept their reasons for it, but she didn't have to think about it either. Why they won didn't matter. Only that they actually did.
And this was the end of this girl's life.

Nakiya Since Nakiya lived up to her end of the deal, the ult is controlled to swerve back upwards. A blood flask is then fed to her by Natsumi, gaining back full stamina. The other Vampire helps her get to Nakiya, allowing her to launch off:
Bloodsucker: The diet of a Vampire is blood, of course! Once per thread a Vampire is able to bite a target with an attack that functions as if it is an [M3]. Should they prove successful, they can drain the blood of a target and then grow in power from it. [If the Vampire successfully bites their target, they can then choose to leave their target alive and only gain 10% of their Base PL from it. Alternatively, they can gain 20% of their Base PL if they kill the target from the bite. This does not change the target into a Vampire unless they are willing. No benefits from feeding on the same target twice. Functions in DE/RoD/Saga only.] [Only works once per target. Can only be used once per thread, regardless of if the technique succeeds or not.]
