The population of West City was
horribly outnumbered.
But what did anyone expect, from a
controlled population? Back during the whole Tree of Might fiasco, there were those within this city who fled in space pods towards Bris, despite this place not being targeted, and those who had chosen to hid in Capsule Corp bunkers to wait things out.
Those who left the planet weren't loyal to her in the slightest. Didn't believe and completely took what Capsule Corp had always provided, for granted, to not trust in the protection that could be given. This wasn’t the first, and wouldn’t be the only invasion on the planet. To leave based on the orders of a dying queen, even knowing the city was only a possibility of being a target, goes to show what faith they had. The naivety and encouragement of weakness.
Those who had stuck around, were loyal to her in some way, most likely through her Matriarchs saving them, or wishing not to lose their job at Capsule Corp. Even
after a portion of the refugees had came back to earth from Bris, the population still wasn’t anything numerous.
The Capsule Corp employees she really needed, were already off the planet and on motherships. Those who were left could die, and it wouldn’t affect her as much as anyone might have thought. It was foolish in the first place, to even believe one asset of hers, could even throw off her plan.
So much energy could be sensed around here, all powerful in their own ways if joined together, but even that wouldn’t be a match for the best of demons. With what limited range she had, gifted to her upon becoming a Vampire, she could sense the presence of that demon she knew, around.
As expected, knowing somewhat of its pride. It had been how long since the attack on East City? In the end, the question was whether or not it would end up using the technique she had shown it, or continue remaining stubborn. The transformation it was already in, wasn’t even its best.
”How close are we to those who might be capable of reaching a Super Saiyan 2?”Although she supposed it was rather typical for those who liked to show off what ounce of power they even had. There was nothing particularly interesting she had detected herself, and so as she had moved around the city, she had occasionally looked to her partner, whose eyes were closed.
It was an interesting way to feel things out, a crutch in reality, but that could be afforded with their kind of power. So long as the silver-haired Matriarch had stuck to her, she wouldn’t die. The demons could do whatever they wished to the city, but the death of someone who was essentially her sister in hierarchy, was one of the things that were off-limits. She’d take out double, no, triple, of their best if it had came to that.
”None as of yet, and there quite possibly won't be any."The answer had took only but a mere few seconds, which would have felt like minutes upon minutes, if she hadn't been around one of her kind. It didn't matter what their worth truly was, or could ever be. Matriarchs and beyond no longer cared for humanity as much as they could, and only fake it.
The tone that her sister in hierarchy had spoke of, was much more commanding, but that was only something natural in this form of theirs. There was some amusement there, especially knowing she and the others hadn't been Matriarchs for long, capturing a shared smile between them at the thought.
"This voice really takes some time getting used to.""Just brace for when you become an Antediluvian."Each of her transformations might have been based on her own will, and the blood magic within them, shaping itself to fit that, but it was still a surprising change. As an Antediluvian, she certainly had the look of someone old enough to be a queen or lead of anything. What made it so noticeable however, was the resemblance it had to her mother when it came to looks. This was what she could have resembled, if she had been 25.
She knew very well that something similar would happen to her partner for this coming battle, and all they could really do is make the best out of things. Physical change was at least the only thing about their bodies, that differed from the transformation of a Matriarch. Not counting any emphasis of power.
More people had started to arrive, as they had took some brief rest at a corner, what demons nearby, noticeably staying away from them as they should. She'd blast through this army without any hesitation, if she was truly to be so disrespected. All of the unaccounted for presences that would show up, would already do well to set her off, knowing more than likely, they wouldn't have the kind of respect towards her that they should be carrying.
The only demon who had the right to even do such a thing would be their queen. Not the
king, nor any of their combined allies. Only another woman of power and importance, could really be excused for giving what was essentially their opinion. The others were just
so fated to die.
Too many people didn't know their place in the world, using excuses and the like, as reason why they had done one thing, instead of another. But being apart of the Saiyan Kingdom, or Remnant Alliance, did nothing but provide temporary protection, and that was in consideration the leaders would even be around.
The same had gone for those of her own interest, but what stopped people like her from doing so, who actually had the power to kill, was the slightest of realization what they controlled could mean war. Everyone else, who acted like they had some title of importance, instead of very likely be just another soldier that could easily be replaced in power, likely had deaths that were overdue to act that way. Even if they
did rise in rank enough to obtain a position of importance, their behavior alone, could easily be the thing that decided whether they should continue living or not. Cambia had came to mind.
She would never,
ever fight so hard against that blonde of a swordsman, trying to put her into one category, when morality would never stop being based off of someone else's perspective. All that talk about preventing another Caesar, and from what she and her sister in hierarchy could sense, the blonde was still likely to be on Namek. But her still coming here in the first place, with one of those demon portals and the like, was still despicable.
Her kid would be left in the hands of another, in a battle where its mother was very well likely to die. That Elemi she had met not that long ago, had tried so hard in justifying that it all depended on one's own background, but that never stopped to put the blonde's side in a mood, if that kid had died.
There was no one to blame there but the blonde herself, for leaving in the first place, and like other blondes she had met, the girl was so obviously too stubborn to admit anything. So many people tended to be more stubborn than they really needed, never accepting the reality that people died due to decisions. Even knowing of what the afterlife was truly like herself, she still couldn't see that ever stopping. Fools were always going to be fools.
There was a certain tingle in her mind, as she and the Matriarch had set off again, its presence too familiar with her liking. But nevertheless, she had allowed the connection through in the first place, frowning as she heard that voice of the new queen on earth. This girl never really learned, did she?
"There you go again, assuming things."Right off the bat, listening to the blonde, there was so many things she could have already said. But of them all, she had chosen to repeat one of the counters to their long back and forth instead, giving a reminder of that time. The fact that she had to at all, spoke volumes. Once again, she couldn't help but think back to how long that attack on East City had really been, but a month should have been more than enough to either change, or remain the same.
There was no question at all, which one of the two that really was. All this talk about her own feelings for the blonde, which wasn't likely to see any true light, beyond any future back and forth. And her feelings were simple as well, summing down to being nothing more than wishing for the blonde to be dead.
But the same thoughts were for Cambia, and that inexperienced male Saiyan. A group of people who were all foolish enough to impose their own feelings and experiences onto her, just because she had power that they didn't. The demons would never return the three favors they owed her, until each of them had died at least once. And she was more than willing to repeat their deaths, if it meant giving the planet some peace of mind, not having them around.
"I'm aware of the situation, just like I can pick out what little army you've brought along. It's not my job to do more than attend business meetings, so if you wish to come in, you can. Our 250 ft distance of separation, still applies to myself, and the one I'm currently with. The others you feel, are either part of this army, or likely would be heroes, I'm sure you'd give some medal of honor when this event passes."Even though these would be heroes had no right to interfere at all, and would no doubt cause whining to occur, with whoever they were associated with. Death was only expected, going up against an army of demons. She could only pray and hope that with her overseeing, they would be competent enough to kill the blonde. They've already screwed up back in East City, holding plenty of time to do so, but struggling. Now the girl had two, and potentially three with her.
"A couple people of interest are around."As soon as their connection had severed, the silver-haired Vampire next to her, had spoken up. It was likely more on purpose than coincidence, as frowning was more out of distaste for something. With how those under her had knew of the coming battle, there was nothing but those who hated, who could elicit that expression from her. Even the demons being hurt right off the bat, wouldn't disturb the mood she and her sister in hierarchy had been creating.
"The blonde queen and her lackies, along with that inexperienced male?"The latter was more of a guess, as she had followed after the other Vampire, stopping what was likely far enough, not to have run into these guys. They were in another corner of the city, and it was here that she was able to feel out what the woman had meant, with her limited range. The slightest of twitches had formed near the corner of her lips, as she felt the signature of someone that should have prevented East City's fall, and the death of three demons.
It would have delayed any alliance she could have established with them, but he would nonetheless be too late to stop all of the damage. She needed to be closer to really feel out the power, but there was no doubt in her mind that who she felt was Galen. Lucy, that naive blonde she had met some time ago, also seemed to be around. So many of them were huddled together, it made it so much more difficult to avoid those who shouldn't know of her aid.
Three healing capsules, and
two advanced scouters, were the only things she had on her, that needed to be given to the demons. That was about as much help she could really provide. It was like a burden on her shoulders if she wasn't able to deliver it to
someone who was villainous.
A booming voice, and one that she had recognized, had stopped her pacing through the city, forcing her to momentarily stop once again and stay out of the way. This whole speech was nothing too particularly surprising. The idea of her assistance in the first place, was to introduce their kind to this society.
All of the powerhouses would be gone just long enough, to possibly strike the interest of the new blonde queen. But whether or not it was agreeable to that girl or not, it wouldn't matter in the end. There were civilians who had already died, and once again, the blonde would be the one at the end of an ultimatum. The would be defenders weren't likely to be spared, if only because of their own stubbornness, and her own role in this whole situation.
She'd be more surprised if anything, if what that demon called an attack, was enough to stop the usual earthlings and hybrids that came to stop anyone who'd move. It was somewhat of a bluff, if one had actually listened to their words carefully, knowing the demons had wanted to just conquer the planet.
But there was also a risk in antagonizing and encouraging more attacks than unnecessary to hit this city. Either way, partially during this whole little speech, she and the other Vampire had moved on again. They didn't need to even address that whole speech. At least not now. On the off chance there would actually be some people who'd agree to stop fighting, that had only meant there would be only so much time, before things around here had settled down.
All of these energies gathered together, and not even one of them foolishly making the mistake of trying to hit her? There was also her three targets, two of which were here, and the demons were supposed to kill off for her. Just how long did they think she'd wait for their overdue deaths to come into fruition? Especially when she could truly do it herself, if not for proving that Cambia right in some way. It was agitating, and she only had so much patience. Could only willingly allow the presences of those two and their energy signatures, to keep moving around, for so long. At least maim them.
Closer and closer, it was the sight of two demons, against those who were essentially two earthlings, that had made her and her sister in hierarchy stop a distance away. If it was possible, and earthling's defenders truly didn't just stop like the cowards they were, she was supposed to deliver what provisions she had on her, to the demons. Rather than the inexperienced male Saiyan, it was the demon girl that she had an eye on. That male one, she couldn't care less for, if only because she couldn't recall ever hearing about someone of his appearance. Which would be worrying, if she had been weaker.
Playing their roles, was essentially the thing she had emphasized the most to Delphi, when it came to having that hybrid communicate with her leader. It was a simple approach down to the t,
meaning that the demons would act like demons in her presence, and she'd remain doing as she had wished.
Any slightest of recognition on their part, she was going to outright deny, and the Vampire besides her, had already been told to strike when she had saw fit. But this just wasn't the moment for it. Her power had risen a little, the moment she had came within distance, a bit of
laughter had came from her.
"That's cute. Your kind believes these would be defenders, could ever swallow their pride enough to surrender willingly. They do so, and their words become forever meaningless, when they regain their confidence. But I suppose you could try, and whichever one of you fail, I won't ever let this be lived down."She hadn't gotten any closer than what distance she was already standing from, but her glowing red eyes still didn't fail to burn with the kind of intensity of a roaring fire. She was expecting Galen to come towards this location, on the inkling chance that he'd notice the slight spike in her detectable power.
Although he could have just as easily met up with that blonde queen. She'd make a visit there herself, when she was done checking up on things here. But for now, she wasn't in any particular rush. Eyes moving to the inexperienced male of a hybrid she had met on Namek, his power really still hadn't changed that much after all. Much lower than a Super Saiyan, which said a lot about where his worth really was. All that talk about what gave her the right to challenge who she pleased, and just like Cambia, he failed to live up to expectations of any growth, and she didn't doubt the same had came with importance.
"I see you're still also filled with as much nonsense as that blonde swordsman on Namek. I can do what I wish when I have the importance you still clearly lack. Bang. That's all it really takes to still kill you."Pointing her finger in the shape of a gun, she had moved it upwards, and 'fired' it off at him. Nothing had really came out of it, as in the end, she didn't plan, nor need to really fight here. A bit of encouragement, and her secret goal of delivering some aid, was really still partially the reason she was here.
It'd take a lot to try and over power her, in what wasn't even her final form.
So many energies were gathering.
She hadn't been on this planet for too long. Just enough to get a feel on how things around here had worked, and meet those she had lived with. The highest power level she had ever felt, back on the planet she was recruited from, had been 800, and the only troubles there had been a few physical injuries.
But this place was so much different. She still wasn't really used to feeling power that weighed against her so heavily, which made it so much harder to run around. But the faces she saw, if they weren't the terrified ones of humans, were those of demons. Too many to really take long breaks from.
She had to hide so carefully behind and between corners, back pressed tightly against the wall, and lowering her power. The slightest stinging of pains had dug into her arms as she did, and continued to follow as she had to occasionally fly over, to avoid being seen. Those demons seemed so focus on the humans, but she still couldn't help but shut her eyes, praying in the hope that they wouldn't somehow find her, and just continued passing along.
She had yet to be attacked so far, but it was still driving her breathing insane, as if she had been fighting like anyone else around here. It was pathetic. She knew that. But her body was so frail in this skin, that looked so human. The cracks where she could feel her power wanting to leak, were too small to be visible, but it still pained her, and wished to be free. She didn't want that. Didn't really even need it. But danger didn't really care what she wanted.
The only thing she could really hope for, was that nothing too bad would happen. Her hands had lightly touched her arms, the most slightest of warmth meeting it, as she continued to move again. Too many energies around, and she couldn't really tell which of them were earthlings who needed help.
Lady Rukia and Lady Natsumi, she could feel the both of them had stopped moving around and had stopped somewhere. Would either of them had mind if she had gone in the same direction? It was painful to try going elsewhere, and she really wanted to rest a little, knowing how much she was going to have to move later. The metallic dragon in the skies, she could only assume that someone would stop it, even if she was on the side where they weren't supposed to mind.
Some of the humans, she had helped up so they could run, but that could only do so much. They were outnumbered, and none of them were really capable of fighting. She could only watch for the slightest of seconds, before desperately flying and running off herself. Sensing the presences around, helped out some with avoiding this army, but a lot of it was really lying in wait. She couldn't just ignore all the sounds, as horrible as they were.
The booming voice that had spoke out, was so demanding that these earthlings surrender. But she knew it was all a trap. The only active dragonballs were on Namek, and they had already been used! She had clenched her hand with a wince, knowing she wasn't going to be allowed to tell them anything.
Her eyes had shut tightly as she moved again, and it felt like forever when she had carefully landed some distance away from a group of people, their difference in power being the thing deciding where she had landed, at first. Lady Rukia and Natsumi were around, the two of them giving her a glance.
She was supposed to play the role of someone who wasn't affiliated with them. Lady Rukia's power had increased, and from what she could make out, no one seemed like they were too terribly injured. Still, she wanted to help out so much, and with those two watching her, she was going to do it.
"I'm a representative of the Elemi Restoration Project. Please...allow me to assist with any healing!"She was pleading, her eyes briefly shut, and hands somewhat trembling, as she slightly bowed with her head. Though it wasn't because she was scared. It was the pain. It was always the pain. The power within her wanted so badly to be let out, and she was always fighting against it to not happen.
Things were so different when she was busy.
The powers around here, really
were weak.
Not a single one of them could match her at full power, but that was only expected, when the strongest were supposed to be in that tournament of theirs. She should have been more agitated, not being considered for the tournament, but it was just another example of another demon taking her place from her.
Being here was supposed to be a consolation, although she wasn't seeing it like she should have. So far, it was only one of her own, that could even come close to her power, not counting that woman. Such a disappointment, only made up for in all of the noise she was hearing around her. Their screams were signs her kind was winning as they should have, and how they very likely wouldn't be stopped. Not without these earthlings working together.
But that thought was only laughable. Anything they did, was something her kind could also manage. One of her own attacks was enough at her full power, was enough to end the lives of any earthling that even had the power of a million. Nearly all of them were likely to die, for even trying to defend this place.
The cowards who'd run, that woman would likely have an eye on for their deaths, at a later date and time. No one here was supposed to leave without some kind of consequence, and the technique to do so, was just given to her like nothing. As if she really needed any help with ending any life at all.
It was always going to be like some kind of test, knowing how useful of a technique it was, but not getting to use it. To do so meant she was following whatever plan that woman had, and while she could care less about killing those the woman didn't like, she wasn't going to use anything but her own power.
Her techniques were all fine, and had ended lives long before the woman had even gotten her power. Behind surpassed by someone like her, who wasn't even a demon, was nothing but the limits of being a demon. Orders had to be followed in the end, no matter how much she didn't like being talked down to.
All of those other demons of higher status, even with what had happened back in East City, still didn't give her the kind of position she should have gotten. The attack on the earthlings here, part of this army was supposed to have been led by her. She was strong enough to force punishment on them to do so. There was no consolation in not having that right, and only anger that would not be sated without the swings of her own blades guiding that rage.
One blade had already been drawn from her hand, but moving around from place to place, over the horde of her own kind, her other weapon had been drawn as well. More people were appearing that weren't just her own kind. Someone with slightly half of her power, was in the opposite direction of where she was.
A place she would have headed, if that wasn't in the direction of that woman. The strongest of what she had felt however, or at least knew was going to be strong, would be that new blonde queen, she had met back in East City. She had only survived, because her superiors didn't give her any following orders to kill her. But this battle was going to be different. She would succeed in what that other demon had been able to do back then, because he was weak.
The booming voice that had spoke, she recognized to be from that failure, promising that the mortals would be safe from harm, if they had surrendered. And that attack of his was so laughable. This talk about dragonballs, a lot of these mortals wouldn't know that they had already been used some time ago.
She had easily moved through the crowd that had stopped, focusing on where she had wanted to go. There were other presences near the blonde, from what she could feel, but that wouldn't matter in the end. This current and large form of hers, wasn't her best. She could take a few hits.
It wasn't going to kill her. Someone else was already there, planning to go and kill the blonde too. But she wasn't going to let that one take her kill. Not if it could be helped. The sight of the blonde was the first thing she had seen, and raising her blades she had relentlessly swung one after the other, moving in time with her swings. This girl wasn't going to get any room at all to dodge, if she could even get to the blonde first.
The power behind her blades wasn't much, but they were only just getting started.
