In a moment’s time, the doors that had first hidden the King of All suddenly slid open. It was not one King, though, but two of them. Each one sat at seats literally identical, just like their appearance; it resembled quite the a basketball head but with a pair of eyes and a mouth. They didn’t look intimidating at all, unless one considered their rigid, cold stare, but others would probably think he was too cute to be able to erase anything.
The Grand Priest was quick to simply request everyone’s attention, with the reason that it’d be the King of All’s time to finally talk and give the warriors a speech.
“So many, so many!”
“Yes, so many!”
Soon, both of the godly beings floated off their fancy chair and cutely twirled around each other.
“We’re so excited, so excited!”
“We can’t wait, can’t wait!"
Finally, the Kings’ movements finally came to a stop and held each other’s hand, while they extended all of their other limbs and gave one final exclamation before they sat down on their seats once more.
“Show us a good fight!”
“A good one, a good one!”
Now, the Grand Priest simply offered a faint smile towards the King of All’s direction before he turned his attention towards the arena once more, with a careful eye towards each participant. One of the Kaioshins did also request that there would have been a recap of the rules, not that he wouldn’t have done it already himself, though. So it was on point.
The short angel cleared his throat. “Attention, please. I shall now explain how the Tournament will take place. On a large part, it is similar to the last time it had taken place, but there will be a few changes.”
The Grand Priest’s platform floated just close enough to the King of All’s little spot, offering him a wide view of the stage.
“First of all. It is very important to keep in mind that flight will not be allowed. Not to worry, there can not be any penalty for it; given the fact that one simply can not fly even if they may try. Therefore, only the ones with wings may be able to fly since it is a physical trait of their species. Weapons are allowed, but items are not. This time, one may kill their opponent, though. So, the fighters can go all out. It is indeed very similar to our last tournament— but this time,” - the angel paused his speech as he lifted up his hands and spread them wide.
And suddenly, the stage trembled— it was moving.
To be precise, it had begun to split in three different areas; each one of them had a triangular shape with a round base. All three of them were perfectly sized to be equal, as the little arenas began to move away from each other, at a fair distance where it’d be difficult for the fighters to simply get distracted or ki techniques to accidentally hit another group.
“The Tournament of Power’s first round will undergo special conditions. It will be an all-out-battle, between the groups that now stand in their respective spaces. The key is survival; for one to pass and ascend to the next round, they must simply not be eliminated before twenty minutes. After the time limit is up, we’ll move on to the next stage.”
Earlier, all of the Universe Seven team had been summoned. A few days prior to this, Cornatto and Cervez had just left the Room of Spirit and Time and although the Earthling Saiyan preferred not to say a word on his results, he did seem rather satisfied with the result— enough for him to take it easy for the remaining days. How did he use the last days before the Tournament of Power had even gun? Rest.
The man needed rest after all that he had to do; between recruiting, training, revival and lots of reunions. He could swear he had never been that much busy in his life before! Not even during his search for the Dragon Balls long time ago, had he ever wished for a tiny bit of free time. Perhaps because he was a lot younger but, at the same time, he did not quite mind what was about to unfold.
Lord Lagerus, Whis, and the Kaioshin had finally approached them and asked that everyone would hold their hands. Cornatto didn’t particularly know why, after all, when he had to travel with Whis to the Other World to pick up Bernael, he didn’t quite require such a thing to be possible. Ah well! It was quite funny anyway! Now, though, as the ray of light had began to dissipate and their eyes could once more clearly see the images and colors.
They couldn’t see anything. Because there was nothing to be seen.
“Woah, this place…”
The Earthling Saiyan’s thoughts roamed in his mind as he could not quite tell the deal with this place. The sky was dark, but truly it hid emptiness and nothing more than that; was that what would have happened if they were to be erased? The thought put a tad bit of pressure on the male’s shoulders, but he was not certainly way too worried about the possibility of being erased.
“We can do this, yeah. But man, I don’t think I would have ever seen something like this…”
His expression was not one of amusement or surprise, he looked pretty serious at the moment. Maybe he had listened to the suggestion of him being less lax? Or perhaps, it was simply the man’s nature. Regardless of his happy go lucky behavior, he was still an experienced martial artist and natural born warrior.
Then, shortly after, the other team also appeared and that caught the male’s attention quite a lot as his senses picked up on some amazing energies. Some of which even arrived to brush Nasu’s, whose he had thought to be the strongest warrior in the living realm at the moment. His heart could not help but skip a beat as he could feel his blood pumping in his veins— to think that he’d get to fight or at least to watch such amazing guys, was quite a joy for him!
His gaze wandered curiously for a few moments, until it finally settled over the angelic figure in the skies above them, standing on a platform. He looked a lot like Whis! Just shorter. For some reason, though, it looked like it was indeed a figure of great importance given just how much respect the other Gods had paid him. It was all new to the Saiyan and could not help but feel quite amused by the exchange of information that was going on between the two Universes. Well, at least they seem to be nice people! At least most of them, as the clown talked and spoke words of evil and whatnot. He was quite the strange guy, but he guessed they could not talk themselves, they had quite the individuals in their team, too.
But Corn also let a snicker escape from his lips, the moment he heard Nasu going. “Hehe. That’s my best buddy all right,” - thought the man until he actually shifted his gaze, looking for Cervez who had been teleported on another side of the huge arena. “Huh? So we’re in different groups… Well, I hope he can make it all the way through!”
The Earthling Saiyan thought until he finally realized the weird arrangement of the groups, it looked like most people had been teleported to specific sides of the arena; together with him stood Tomina and Chris. He smiled and lifted up his palm in a friendly manner. “Looks like we’ll goin’ together for the moment,” - said the male. He knew that Tomina wasn’t fond of either, but Corn didn’t seem to particularly care for that detail.
“Eh?”
The man muttered as he finally focused his gaze towards their opponents; pretty much a robot, a wolf and… a Yardrat? There were some in Universe Four, too? That was amazing! Although, the Metalman’s voice quite startled the Saiyan— that wasn’t expected from a figure such as the Metalman’s, but he guessed it was unique, at least! But then, the robot’s tone dropped once more almost as if the atmosphere had totally changed for him.
“I don’t need the Dragon Balls! I am just in for the fight— I wanna get much stronger than what I am right now. How about you guys?—”
Before he could finish his question, though, a loud voice made his shoulder suddenly rise as the male turned around and found Tomoroko cheering for him in the spectator area. The male giggled softly as he lifted a hand all the way up and waved in her direction.
The King of All, then, or Kings? He did not know really!— decided to give a speech of sorts. He did not know why Cervez had spoken so carefully of this guy, he looked like a harmless guy! Zeno didn’t even look like much of a fighter or the type of person to destroy anything, so that kind of reassured Cornatto who decided to speak up.
“HEY, ZEN-CHAN!”
The man’s voice had risen and his hand now aimed towards his direction to get the King’s attention.
“I promise we will show you a good one!”
Shortly after, the Grand Priest proceeded with the enlisting of the rules and later on, he also split the arena into three arenas! Cornatto directed his gaze towards the other Universe’s team members, forming a smile over his features.
“Alright! I can’t wait to see what you guys are capable of!”

A sigh couldn’t help but escape his lips, the teleportation had been completed successfully yes, but even now knowing that his family couldn’t be here, his wife, his future kid. It was a hefty pain deep inside, but he had to fight to survive now. Knowing they were safe now in some other universe, that made the world to him in ways he couldn’t quite explain. There were so many things he held in his desire, things he could only wish to one day complete, things he could only wish to reach. In this universe such things were not destined to be, in this universe his own choices were done. This was to be his final fight. His last one as a member of universe seven. If he failed now, even if his own heritage would be safe, he would never get to see his own kid born. That clenching of his fist, he wasn’t going to dare let something like that happen. He didn’t care what it was going to take, he was going to make sure he won this fight. He was going to see his kid be born.
When the angel had asked him for who he wanted to bring along as his guest, his first thoughts had been to his father, but something had told him to push further, his father unlike himself, still held a future here to reach, so he called for the very being who helped him in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with his cousin. He had asked the Angel to bring his mother if he could to this tournament. If this was to be his last fight here, there was no need to hold back any of the stops. There was no need for any more regret. It was time now for him to take responsibility and finish things. As he gazed acrossed those who were to be his allies, he couldn’t help but think of how powerful of a team this could possibly be. He still didn’t know Cornatto’s full power, but Tomina herself had proven to be a far far more skilled opponent before, even on opposite sides, he had to respect the finesse in her style of combat, the fluidity of it to the very strength of it. The fiery ashes to rise, with twilight to quench it, only for the holy hands of justice to pummel the remains. This team could work if things were to reach right in their paths.
The first one to truly speak was the strange man made of metal, different from the androids in the past, he couldn’t help but be impressed…at least until the voice that came out of such a thing. It took every ounce of his own will to keep from laughing. The thought he had made however, what they were going to wish for? It was truly a good question, considering that if he were to leave, what wish would he make? When Corn made the comment of only being in this for the fighting, Chris couldn’t help but disagree, didn’t he care for his family? Anyone at all? This wasn’t a game one could just toss around. These were serious conditions that could come. “I guess I never thought about a wish myself. There really isn’t much I could truly wish for. I guess, considering the origins of most of my universe’s troubles, there really is only two wishes I could desire. At first, I desired to maybe restore my homeworld as much as I desire in my heart, my mind however already tells me such is impossible however, it would be destined to be destroyed simply again. My wishes I would choose to make however, my first choice would honestly be a planet of neither Saiyan nor earthling, but a planet mixed of the various races of the galaxy. Too many people in my universe have lost their homes and families to war. If just one planet can show some sign of peace, then maybe we can unite against the common threat that plagues us all in our universe. The true core of corruption. My second choice for a wish, would be to be able to just spend an entire day with the entirety of my family one last time before I leave. I don’t know which wish I would make, but those are the two I truly desire.”, Chris would simply reply of his own mannerism, however as he sized up the competition, one of whom he couldn’t even the sense the energy of…troublesome as it was…it seemed that this was going to be a tricky fight indeed. Such chosen fighter though were going to require some strategy to say at the very least. ‘Tomina, I hope you allow me to speak this time, but as much as I dislike fighting with your faction, honestly, out of any of them it could’ve been, you’re not the worst one to have on a team. These creatures I’m sure you already know must have some tricks up their sleeves, otherwise why else would they even be here… I think it would be best for you to go for the man made of metal, metal burns after all no? I already know you’ve become far stronger than Flare could’ve reached, especially with those flames. I can go for the wolf like creature, I’ve been training with Cervez so I guess I suppose I’m a little more used to taking down the canines... Corn I hope should be able to take on the last alien creature. I don’t know Corn’s potential fully so I’m just hoping he can handle it. The sooner we take each one out, the easier it should become to take out the others.’, Chris would have sent with his telepathy to Tomina. If they could keep the other universe from knowing of their ability to speak with mental waves, it could prove to be vastly advantageous. It was hard to grasp in the end…that this was really it wasn’t it?
Meanwhile in the Stands
“Why does it seem that no matter how long we’ve been dead you can still be possibly the loudest person in the universe.”, Mizuna could only laugh as she attempted to pat Tomoroko on her back, a surprise visit much? Maybe, but when the angel had arrived to pick her up she couldn’t help but have been confused at first. Primarily at knowing which one of her brats could’ve gotten in trouble this time.
“YOU BETTER NOT LOSE RUTTSU! THAT INCLUDES YOU TWO AS WELL NASU AND KOMATSU SHOW THEM OUR SAIYAN PRIDE!”, the warrior mother could only yell out towards her son and nephews. It was strange being here once more, in a way alive. Her power was still there for the most part, the experience of unlocking the state of ascending past that of a normal Super Saiyan. The day she had nearly and almost lost everything. It was amazing still seeing family once more. It was day like these, that they had to be grateful for the things they did have, the things they did get to experience. That was what truly mattered now wasn’t it?

He chuckled lightly caring little for the explanation only scoffing at the kai fusion before him. Ignoring her briefly barely casting a glance towards her as if she was some sort of servant unworthy of any true acknowledgement. "You'll have to forgive her... She was to pathetic to stop me on several occasions and only survived by fleeing like a cowards in such times as well. Its a shame most the kai's in my universe as pathetic as they useless. They tend to have little actual power or sway over things. But you my lovely goddess of destruction I believe would likely be a far better skilled hand then they are. Its a shame I cannot simply trade you for Mayuri here. Allow her to be destroyed instead of you. He'd smiling up at her caring little for the tournament around him.

After a few minutes of silence, Karen’s voice echoed in Tomina’s mind again.
<Since you're in this tournament, that means you're one of the strongest fighters in the universe, right?>
<That's right! I’ve come a long way in these 8 years!>
Technically it was 9 years, but then Tomina would have to go into the time chamber, which was a rather complicated subject matter that was better if it was explained later. Although I'd she had mentioned it, Karen probably wouldn't have been able to ask her next question easily.
<Tomina, have you been pushing yourself harder than you should? You’ve nearly gotten yourself killed with your training again, haven't you?>
<Er… well that's… heh...>
Tomina rubbed the back of her head, a sheepish grin appearing on her face. Tomina had flashbacks to facing Nasu in his God form in the time chamber. Needless to say she had gotten curb stomped by it very quickly. And that was just the most recent dangerous training situation. Karen puffed her cheeks, her hands sliding down to her hips. She stared down at her sister sternly.
<If you end up killing yourself with another one of your marathon sessions, then I’ll beat you up when you cross over to the other side! Don’t push yourself too hard!>
<Sorry sis… I’ll be more careful from now on.>
Karen folded her arms, making Tomina look away. Karen was one of the very few people who could get Tomina to relent on something. Tomina had been cruel to her sister when they were little kids, and she still felt bad about it to this day. As a result, Karen was able to put Tomina on a guilt trip on the fly, and Tomina was the type of person who didn't have many regrets. Karen’s face broke into a small smile, seeing her sister smiling like that.
<Hey, you remember the time that I found you entirely spent and unable to move. You put a little too much energy into that Super Galick Gun and collapsed.>
Tomina looked up at Karen crossley. Of course she was going to bring that incident up. Karen had never let her hear the end of it.
<Honestly, you don't need to bring up such embarrassing things. Or ever for that matter.>
That only made Karen giggle in the stands though, which brought a smile to Tomina’s face. She couldn't really stay mad at her sister, even when she did bring up embarrassing stuff like that.
Eight Years Ago, Planet Vegeta
“Ugh… damn it, that did not go as well as it did in my head.”
Tomina was panting heavily, lying on her back in the Vegetan desert. In front of her was a long trail of burned out ground when an energy beam had passed through. Tomina had put her all into the Super Galick Gun and fired it. While she succeeded in putting more power into it them eve before, she had completely gassed herself out.
Tomina could feel the sand vibrate gently as someone landed on it. Then she heard the sound of someone running through the sand towards her. She looked up to see the concerned face of Karen looking down at her.
“Oh my gosh, are you alright? Do you need help getting up?”
Tomina struggled to sit up, pushing her aching body as much as she could. She slowly inched her way up towards a sitting position.
“I’m fine Karen, I just put more energy than I should have into that blast. I’ll get up in just a moment.”
Despite those strong words, she found herself on her back again fairly quickly. She grunted, trying to get up as her sister frowned down at her.
“You don’t have to keep pushing yourself like this you know. Just because Natto sent a holographic recording warning that he would attack if we didn’t let up, and the fact that our mother never intends to back down, doesn’t mean you have to push yourself to such extremes. You’ve been going on this day long training sessions a few times a week. On top of the excessive training you already do? Are you that worried about an attack?”
“A Saiyan warrior doesn’t worry about a challenge on the horizon. We prepare for it and meet it eagerly. Honestly Karen, even I can’t keep your reputation as a ruthless Saiyan warrior alive and well if you don’t at least act out the basics.”
Karen didn’t like fighting in the slightest, so her style was mostly defensive. Tomina gave her credit for some of her kills in the field. It was very hard keeping the illusion going, but it was necessary to keep a strong image in the Empire. Karin sighed, looking down at her sister with worry.
“I know that Tomina… it’s just that something has been bothering you since that message took place. You’ve been pushing yourself to such extremes lately, even for you.”
“Maybe I’m just tired of being one of the few royal guard members without a Super Saiyan transformation. Come on Karen, you’re looking too hard into things.”
Tomina said gruffly. She began to raise herself up from the ground again. Just as she looked like she was was make progress, Karen said something that made her freeze though.
“It’s because of Cabris and the other defectors, isn’t it?”
Tomina fell back down onto her back with an “oof”. The Saiyan hybrid looked up at her in surprise. Karen was eerily perceptive sometimes when it came to how she was feeling and towards what.
“I need to be strong enough to survive, as well make sure that they don’t get themselves killed following that delusional, cowardly excuse of a Saiyan. If they go on the offensive, then I need to make sure as few of them are as killed as possible. If I’m fast and skilled enough, I can disable them without killing them.”
Karen let out a sigh, and for a few seconds her face had an emotion foreign to Tomina on it. Was it longing? Regret? Tomina wasn’t good at identifying the more sentimental emotions back in her days in the Empire, so she wasn’t sure. It vanished just as quickly as it came through, and Karen was back to her normal self again
“I’m glad that you're pushing yourself to become stronger in part to help them, but you aren't any good to anyone in the condition that you're in.”
“I told you already, I’m fine! I’ll be up on my feet in a moment!”
Tomina slowly tried sitting up again, straining her upper body as much as she could. Karin let out a sigh. Her sister could be so stubborn sometimes. Finally deciding to take matters into her own hands, she reached down and wrapped her arms around Tomina’s waist. The Saiyan hybrid let out a shout of protest as she felt her sister lift her up.
“Put me back down! I don't need your help! I was nearly there!”
“No you weren't. I’m not waiting around in the desert for you to climb back to your feet just to cater to your pride.”
“This isn’t like that time on Natto! I don't need you carrying me to safety!”
“Would you rather die of thirst in the desert because you didn't know your own limits? That isn't an end befitting a prideful Saiyan warrior like yourself."
Tomina soon found herself sitting on Karen’s shoulders.Karen reached up and grabbed Tomina’s legs, securing her so that she was sitting on her shoulders. Karen looked up over her shoulder at him, giving her sister a teasing grin.
“Besides, this is the most befitting way to carry a Saiyan Princess.”
"KAREN!!!"
That only made Karen laugh though, leaving a flustered Tomina staring down at her sister. She didn’t like being called that, but that didn’t stop her sister used it as a nickname often. Still laughing, Karin flew straight up into the air and back towards civilization.
Present Time
<You know that I didn't like being called that. People started treating me different once they knew who’s kid I was. I didn't feel like I was achieving things by my own merits.>
<I know you didn't like it. It's why I kept on calling you that. Hey, if I’m the only one who can get free passes to annoy you, them I’m going to take advantage of it.>
<Karin!>
Tomina gave her sister a mock glare from below. Then both of them threw back their heads and laughed. Honestly it was nice for the both of them to relive happy memories from their past. As opposed to the ones that Tomina usually focused on. Tomina bend over slightly, slapping her knee a couple of times before standing up again. Both of them took a moment to get a breath of air before continuing their conversation.
<Speaking of family, have you seen Athren or Redis at all?>
Karen shook her head, which didn't surprise Tomina. They hadn’t been the most horrible of Saiyans, but they still had committed their own share of sins in the name of the Empire.
<I tried looking for them for as long as I could. Even after I got my body back I could not find them though. They must have gone below then. Wait… I thought that mother ordered Athren to be evacuated. How did he die?>
<Athren did manage to reorganize the Empire after he returned. But then some upstart who calls himself Caesar killed him and took over. He's other there.>
Tomina jabbed her thumb to the side, and Karen looked over to see the God King talking with the U4 Gods. Karen leaned forward, frowning as she peered at him.
<That guy is ridiculously strong if that's just his base power.>
<You don’t even know the half of it. He’s the second strongest in our universe. I hate being on a team with him, but I despise most of my teammates anyway. So what I feel about them doesn't matter. What matters is winning this tournament so that we can continue to exist.>
<Yeah…. Poor Athren though…>
<Poor Athren.>
Tomina hadn’t been as close to her half brother then she was to Karen, but she liked him well enough. As a royal guard she has interacted with him quite a bit. Of course neither of them had known they were related at the time. Tomina wondered if he knew that he had twin half sisters. She supposed she could austers him herself whenever she died.
Tomina let out a snort, clasping a gloved hand over her mouth to stifle the giggles that threatened to come out of it. That gigantic metal creature was talking to them in such a high pitched voice. The hybrid had been expecting this deep, booming bombastic voice. Instead the creature sounded like a small child. Tomina lowered her hand once she managed to calm down enough to speak without breaking out into hysterical laughter.
“Well, we sure as hell didn't come here for a party. Which is just as well since cake is too sweet for my tastes anyway. You could tell me what you and that wolf creature are though: I’ve never seen either of your species. You in particular are strange. Are you fully organic? You look mechanical but I can sense your energy.”
Tomina was trying to take advantage of things as much as she could before the fight even began. Gathering information while trying to throw their opponents off were her main goals in conversing with them. When the creature asked about her wish, Tomina let out a chuckle.
“You’re under the assumption that we’re all one unified force. We’re all in one group because the only thing most of us have in common is that we want to survive. Hell, I already like you more than I do half my team. What we want with the dragonballs varies from each of us. As for what I want… well that’s a secret.”
Tomina had no intention on saying her wish out loud. She didn’t want to risk clashing with anyone else on her team over it right now.
Tomina looked over at the Anubian on her team as he went over and talked to Carva. He completely ignored her, much to her annoyance. He knew she was there alright: he referred to her as “that Elemi woman.” A vein lightly throbbed on her forehead as she barked over at the dog-like creature.
“Hey, mutt! Don’t go and ignore me after that you pulled against us back on Earth! Yeah, I know it was you that killed Carva. I could sense your energy clashing with his even in the middle of my own fight. Normally I avenge a fallen subordinate out of principal: you went and ruined all my hard work in one fell swoop. However he’s crawled back in hell probably in large part due to wanting a rematch for you, so I’m not getting in the way of that. However, if you get in my way again like you did on Earth, then I’m going to put you through so much pain that you’ll beg to be put in a locked room with that clown over there just to get away from me. Oh, and for the record, I may be part Elemi, but I identify as a Saiyan.”
Tomina smirked widely at said clown in question when he started throwing threats at her. It looked as though she was going to be able to give out a lashing before either side was allowed to throw a punch.
“I’d say that it would be more appropriate for us to wish to make you the weakest court jester then for you to wish for torture me further. But it would be a waste to wish for the most worthless jester to exist in all the universes. I mean seriously, you’re such a fool that you practically confessed to having a God form. You know it exists and you’re stronger than Nasu was when he unlocked his. You are rather amusing, I will give you that. But only in how pathetic you are."
Tomina closed her eyes her smirk widening even further. She was going to give this guy just enough time for everything she said to sink into his thick skull. Was this going to make him more liable to come after her? Oh hell yes. That was nothing new for Tomina though. So she pressed on, brushing her hand past her face and holding it up right next to her ear.
“First off, you’re a little later to the party clown. I’ve had death threats made towards me since I was three, and had people actually try to carry out those threats by the time I was four. I’ve also been through more shit then you can possibly imagine. So at this point most threats people throw are me just end up being small talk. A bunch of weaklings just end up yapping away about how they’re going to kill me or make me suffer, and nothing comes of it. Secondly, I haven’t seen at you at work, but I can already tell that you’re a shitty torturer. I would know a thing or two since I’ve been doing that sort of thing for a long time. Just ask that scum over there. I made him beg for mercy back when I was 10.”
Tomina opened her eyes, jabbing her thumb at Komasu and casting her smirk in his direction for a few seconds. She made sure to hold it there so that the U4 fighter would be able to clearly see the interaction between the both of them, however brief. If he wasn’t entirely stupid, he would be able to pick up that there was something there. The Saiyan hybrid then turned her attention back to the man who had decided that it was a smart idea to threaten her.
“I mean, you’re leaving me with too much hope. If by some miracle your universe wins, and that you survive and also are the one who makes the wish, then I’ll take comfort in the fact that even with 100 more yours, you’ll fail your probation and your universe will get wiped out anyway. Wishing for me to survive my universe being destroyed isn’t going to bring up the mortal level of Universe 4, dumbass. So I’d be eagerly awaiting for the day when all existence will come to an end other there, further hating the people who let themselves be defeated by a worthless clown like you. Cause you’re not even worthy of my hatred.”
Tomina turned her back on him, waving her hand dismissively and slowly walking away from him. She had a last few choice words for the warrior of Universe 4 before she shifted her focus away from him.
“If we somehow end up fighting, then I’ll make you burn. Although I doubt I will be the one to take you out. I trained with the King you mocked for a year and have seen him at his true strength. You can pray to those deities watching down from the benches up there, but it won’t save you. Nasu, if this guy goes out like a bitch, I want you to tell me about it in detail later. I’m willing to bet that he will.”
Unfortunately Tomina dealt with one annoyance only for another to crop up. Tomina whirled around to look up at the stands at the sound of a very familiar voice yelling out from the stands. Sure enough, Tomoroko was up there, cheering both of her sons and Cornatto. Well, at least she was now certain Cornatto was involved in the war somehow, since Tomoroko knew him by name. She opened another telepathic channel, barking up at the Saiyness mentally.
<If your noise distracts me in a critical moment and I lose because of it, I’m going to stuff your tail down your windpipe before we get wiped out from existence! I don’t need you reminding me that most of my teammates are made up of my sworn enemies. It’s hard enough to swallow without you shoving it further down my throat.>
Tomina quickly closed the link before the Saiyaness could throw a rebuttal in her mind. Of course it wouldn’t stop her from yelling out insults from the stands if she was inclined to do so. Nor would it stop her from cheering her sons and Cornatto on. Putting the Saiyaness in a foul mood was just something that she wanted to do. Even knowing what she knew about how the universe worked, she still resented Natto and his mate for his actions. The main reason for that hatred was sitting in the stands there that day.
With all that business out of the way, Tomina was able to focus back on the Konatsian that had decided to talk with their side. Tomina raised her eyebrows at the Kontasian, staring at her with bemusement as something just occurred to her.
“So wait a minute, Saiyans don’t exist in your Universe, yet monkeys do? Your universe is a strange place. I was kinda hoping to at least run into one Saiyan at your end so I could fight them, but oh well. And what we are matters a lot. More than half of our team is comprised of Saiyans or Saiyan hybrids. We don’t live off our hype. We are the hype.”
It was hard to miss the pride laced in Tomina’s voice with that one, as well as the slight smirk that spread across her face. After everything her race had done, Tomina was still proud to be a Saiyan at the end of the day. Well Saiyan hybrid, but she didn’t care about that particular technicality.
“Well one of them is called an Anubian. He’s related to our God of Destruction somehow. The other one seems to be a demon, going by what I’m sensing. Come to think of it, you guys have a wolf of your own too. He doesn’t seem to be a demon, since I don’t recognize his type of energy signature. This whole tournament became a doghouse somehow.”
Tomina grinned, letting out a chuckle as the Konatsian deduced what she was up to. Well, it was good to know that not all of their opponents were complete idiots. It would make things all the more interesting.
“Well, you’ve caught me red handed. Guess I’ll have to try it on more oblivious members on your team. Knowing your name matters since no matter what, the winners will remember this tournament to the end of their days. I have a good 2,000 years left in me due to my Elemi blood. Even when you vanish, you won’t be completely gone.”
Tomina rolled her eyes when one of the members of the Universe 4 team came over and tried hitting on Carva. He certainly was being more receptive then she would have liked him to be. She left the her former student with a simple piece of advice.
“Just don’t get yourself killed like you did last time. Also, make sure you fuck them up instead of fucking them, alright? I’d rather not meet my end just because you let a girl take advantage of your hormones.”
The Grand Priest fellow then introduced them to the King of All. Of all the things she had expected, the last thing was a pair of two blue skinned midgets. It was right up there with a triangle wearing a top hat and carrying a cane. Well, she supposed that just meant that looks were deceiving. In both cases, those beings were likely much more dangerous than they appeared to be at first glance.
The Grand Priest explained all the rules to them before having the arena split up and divide the groups of people. Tomina was left with Cornatto and Chris as her allies, much to her annoyance. Of course she’d end up paired with two of the people who had stood against the Kingdom on Earth. Well, she could have gotten worse she supposed. Still, they were both annoying to deal with in their own ways. Tomina rolled her eyes at Cornatto’s way too lax attitude towards all of this.
“The king of all isn’t your friend. He… or they will wipe you out with a second hesitation if we lose today. I’m not particularly fond of the people I have to fight alongside, but I’m giving it my all and so should you.”
Tomina listened to Chris as he talked to her about strategy. Well at least someone else was taking this whole thing seriously. He wasn’t trying to get laid or wasn’t being too lax about things or some crap like that. When he was done, Tomina cracked her knuckles, giving the other Saiyan hybrid a smirk.
“That’s fine with me. I was thinking about going after that one anyway. He looks like he’s going to be tough to bring down, and my fighting style is best suited for mowing down enemies and cutting through defenses. Besides, I’m interested in seeing what that species is capable of.”
Tomina chuckled in amusement as Chris went on to day that she wasn't the worst person on Nasu's side. Since they were at the possible end of existence, she had no reason to suspect that he was lying. She did find it strange that he was telling her this though, considering that had very choice words for each other during the invasion of Earth.
“It’s a little too late to be complimenting me like that. You can appeal to my vanity all you want, but it won’t change what I think of you. You're still utterly naive towards how the world works. People aren't just going to cooperate and settle their differences peacefully. The only way peace can ever be obtained is through power. If the strongest in the universe wills for peace to happen, then it will come. I don't know where you plan on going after all of this is over, but you’ll always be in the same boat as the rest of us.”
Tomina didn't know about the deal Chris had made prior to joining the tournament. If they survived this, than Universe 7 would no longer be his problem. Tomina focused her attention other team, her smirk fading as she spoke to Chris in a tone that had less of her arrogance oozing from it.
“You two need to be careful on how you tackle this fight. I have no doubt we would win if we went all out. The problem is that we're in a rather precarious situation compared to the other teams. We have a much bigger set of foes on the horizon. Should the fight go badly for Nasu’s group, we may end up having to fight at least one God level opponent. And if Universe 4 gets a major victory with its weaker fighters, then they could easily gang up on us in the second round. So realistically speaking it would be ideal to conserve as much energy as possible going into the second round. That comes with its own risks though.”
While their group probably had the easiest overall fight on their hands, other variables outside of the foes in front of them made this the trickiest fight to deal with in some ways.
“If we conserve too much energy, then they can take advantage of that and get the upper hand. That's the challenge of larger scale fights. In a one on one you don't have to worry as much about things. In a fight like this though, energy consolidation is an issue. I could have poured all of my energy into the first attack I threw at Flare and killed her, but that would have left me without any energy and vulnerable to everyone else. I figured I could damage her enough and conserve a small amount of power, and then finish her off while everyone was distracted with their own fights. Unfortunately she managed to take advantage of it and managed to beat me.”
Of course, that had happened because Flare obtained a new form in the middle of their fight. Tomina had been completely caught off guard and lost in an instant. She didn’t expect that scenario to happen in this case, but she wasn't going to let her guard down this time around. The other team had species she had never encountered before, so who knew what they were capable of.
“On the bright side, they're in the same boat that we are. They have to debate whether or not they should go all out on us or conserve power. It's imperative we find out how they’re going to tackle things. If we know their game plan, then we can respond accordingly.”
Yep, they were in for a touch battle. Despite all of it though, Tomina felt excited with the prospect of facing these tough foes. Much like Cornatto, Tomina loved a good fight. And she was up against the absolute strongest warriors of another universe. How could she not be excited?
In the Stands
When a loud voice cheered out from the stands, Karen looked over to see the former leader of the Saiyan Alliance cheering her kids and comrade on. There was another person next to her who she didn't recognize, although it was clear they were connected to the Alliance in some way. Karen debated things for a moment before walking over to to them and addressing her.
“Excuse me, but do you mind if I sit next to you? It’s a bit lonely over there by myself.”
If Tomoroko looked over, she would see a Saiyan that was the splitting image of Tomina in her transformed state. Although they had a few noticeable differences: Karen still had her body from when she was 10, and had a halo above her head. She also didn't have the aura of confidence her sister had though, or the smugness that she often displayed. Although the resemblance in of itself could make things awkward between her and Tomoroko.

He stared at that offered hand, an olive branch coming from someone he had killed in cold-blooded revenge a long time ago, and a smirk began to tug at the corner of his muzzle as he lifted his own furred hand, shaking the offered limb firmly. "When we win, you meant to say, Carva," he said with a small modicum of respect in his tone by using the man's name instead of calling him by any other way like he'd have done so with anyone else. Yet the moment seemed fleeting at best as Cervez took a step back when he saw a truly humongous woman get close and personal with Carva and his other teammate called Heizen; Cornatto having had the presence of mind of telling him about everyone that would be attending the Tournament of Power back when they trained in the Room of Spirit and Time.
The Anubian's nose wrinkled in distaste at the woman's attitude and also his teammate's willingness to breed with her being almost as quick as an Afterimage Technique, the purple-furred jackal shaking his head in a small sense of despair, his previous respect being totally lost now in the face of this sudden development happening before his eyes. "Get fucking serious, you lot! We don't have time for bullshit like that!" he said as his teeth ground together, eyes narrowing at the troublemakers. "The tournament is about to start so better shape up because there is no mercy to be had here."
Before he could step away from the three of them, the woman he had ignored to speak with Carva finally stepped up to him, and she didn't sound happy at all, through it all Cervez's brow was raised and arms crossed over his bulky chest, his form looking like that of a bodybuilder because of his use of the offensive form of Soul of Destruction currently boosting his powers by threefold. "Mice and men, dear Saiyan," he said with a clear emphasis on Saiyan that clearly told that he didn't really see a difference between an Elemi or a Saiyan, as both races could be quite volatile and battle-hungry in some cases. "Your lot should have thought better before invading Earth thinking that it'd been a walk in the park, you can complain all you want but in a war, there will always be casualties on either side. Next time make sure you train them to the bone instead of sending them to their deaths." His eyes narrowed, the sharp nails on his fingertip clenching hard against his bulging biceps, drawing the smell of blood in the air as he stared her down as wisps of purple energy licked at his shoulders, he didn't care that she was clearly stronger than him by a large margin, he wouldn't be talking down to by some mere mortal like a common dog.
Before something could escalate between the two of them, Cervez felt pinpricks against the back of his neck, like someone was watching him rather intently. Using the Konatsian stepping towards Tomina to drive her attention elsewhere, he focused his gaze towards the culprit of said stare, blinking twice at her rather curt tone as she talked to him, the Anubian tilting his head to the side in thought as he observed her for a bit. "Curious... you blame us for your humiliation, yet that thought couldn't be more wrong," he chuckled lowly to himself as he spread his arms forward, shrugging his shoulders as a condescending smirk tugged at the corner of his muzzle. "Perhaps you should look deeper into yourself, perhaps then you'd realize that the only reason you're here is that your Universe and everyone in it is as weak as ours." The jab was there to drive her mad, from what he could tell she sounded like she valued her pride a whole lot, judging by how she viewed everyone beneath her and not worth her attention whatsoever, not even to lick or worship the very ground she walked upon as she'd probably rather kill them on the spot than be more than a second longer in their presence.
Before he could rile her up some more, the Grand Priest choose that time to finally speak up, right alongside the young loud voices of the King of Alls pipping up every now and then. Immediately the Anubian would fall to one knee, head bowed as he looked to the floor with the most serious expression upon his features, not daring to look up or speak up against the wishes of the two Zeno-o, much less the Daishinkan. But then, the unthinkable happened as his dear friend, one powerful Saiyan Warrior by the name of Cornatto had the audacity to address the most powerful being in all the multiverse like they were old friends, the color draining entirely from his whole body as he stood up with a cry of "Z-ZEN-CHAN DATOU?!" as he stared at Cornatto with his jaw almost to the floor, his eyes almost the size of dinner plates, all the while looking like a negative version of himself as he was completely white at that moment. "H-HOW DARE YOU GO AGAINST MY WORD! I TOLD YOU TO NOT ADDRESS HIM IN SUCH A WAY! ARE YOU FUCKING MAD?!" Cornatto was oh so lucky that at that moment the arena began to disperse in three different sections to give all the players in this tournament some breathing room to battle without worrying about the rest, the Anubian snarling at the Saiyan from where he was before he grunted loudly and turned towards his would-be opponents.
He thought back on what the Grand Priest had said, and a feral grin crossed his features as he realized the implications of such a thing. "I see..." a dark chuckle escaped his lips as the purple energy that flickered between his muscular shoulder-blades became thicker as he was then enveloped in a purple-dark toxic aura of energy made completely from destruction as his power seemed to sky-rocket a few notches. "Then that means I can completely let loose."

Fusa-san saw some of the fighter chuckling at him speaking. The Metalman also let out a giggle as they do. "There's no need to hold back your laughter. I'll take that laughter as a sign that you found it funny. I know it's completely different from my image, don't you agree? A lot says that humor should have a time, but I feel like even in bleak and serious moment like this, humor is important. In the end, we have no idea when the chance to smile is robbed from us, so it's best to go out with a bang... either you or me." the Metalman's tone was slightly melancholic, but then he looked back up. "Ah, by the way, I pick this one translator because it's cute. Now, what do you think? Is it cute?"
The Metalman listened to each one of his opponent's commentaries about their wishes upon the wish granting ball called Dragon Ball. He have no idea whether it exist or not in his world, but even if it does exist, he doesn't care all that much. The Metalman first turned his attention at the guy who brazenly called the Zen'ou-sama with the nickname "Zen-chan" and caused a Hakaishin lookalike to get furious (@cornatto ). Yeah, even he felt his lava chilled by several degree the moment he said that... However, at the same time, the Metalman can't help but to chuckle.
"...An interesting person you are. You don't have a wish you want to be granted in particular... and only want to have fun, you say? I dunno if you're simply not taking this seriously or are you just trying to see the positive side of all situation. I'll settle with the latter. That is indeed good... But what do you need to be strong for?" he asked in return. "What threat is there in your universe? Is it feud? That lady assumed that I think of you as an unified force, but for me, that couldn't be all the more wrong. In this sort of situation, having unified team is all the more unlikely... As for you guys... the animosity is kind of clear despite the cheering from the watcher's podium. It felt like enemies that united by the same situation... the coming of the universe erasure, isn't that right?"
The Metalman reminded of the comment made by the Shinjin. "...No wonder that Shinjin is here, with him commenting that he's destroyer of the world..." he commented offhandedly.
For the second one, he looked at the other Saiyan of the bunch, the one that felt peaceful (Chris ). "...I see, that is indeed a noble wish. To spend time with the most of your family is also important. I have no one in my world that I am attached to... neither parents nor family nor lover. Hearing you said that made me a bit envious," the Metalman commented, giggling once more. "...Ah, but don't feel too bad about it. If anything, I feel it's more liberating that way. That way I can hop from planets to planets without feeling too attached... I sure hope that your wish came true. However, that would mean that we from U4 have to lose, eh? Too bad, but I'm not planning to go down easily."
...the woman (Tomina ) meanwhile keep her wish a secret. That made the Metalman's visor blinks in amusement. "Oh my, you liking me already? Thank you very much. If cakes are not to your liking, maybe something else, like a pub meal?" although, at the comment of wanting to know more about the two fighters, Fusa-san just chuckled. "Oh boy, you're a smart woman, aren't you? You're trying to poke some information out from this ol' me? Too bad I can't say anything there, dear! After all, you haven't said anything other than your race, but it should be fine because we don't have any of your race in our world. The knowledge is merely pleasantries, aye? That won't do sadly~"
But then, the Metalman shrugged. "To be completely honest, I can't even tell you anything because while I do travel from worlds to worlds, I never bothered to learn racial power of other races... nor mine to be honest. Am I organic? Am I metallic? I never bothered to stop and think about what am I and why am I here. Perhaps my memories already faulty because I jumped from a planet to another in a strange way. My own existence is worthless compared to the existence of universe as a whole. My only self imposed mission is to rejuvenate planets, and that is all that I want."
The Metalman crossed his massive arms in front of his metal chest. "...I know I'm not asked, but... If I have the chance to get my hand on the Super Dragon Ball... is it what it is called? Then I wish for a reincarnation. I wish to add myself to the rank of the Kaioshins. I've noticed that for all this long time, my role as the gardener is no longer enough. I need to help in more direct way. Neutrality might be hard that I think of it, but at the same time, perhaps it's the time for the Gods to mingle with the mortal to fix the world. It's time for the mortal to not be treated like a dangerous child or problem kids, or burden... It might be a really tall dream... but I feel there are too many things in this world that should be taken care better. For the sake of my ideal, even if it's a heresy... I want to be one."

Lady Weiss was clearly angry and Caesar ‘s actions didn’t help reducing her rage; as a matter of fact it just threw more wood at the fire when he claimed she would be erased soon in order to give him his godhood back. ”What did you say?!” she barked at him, baring her sharp and deadly looking fangs at the shinjin. His insolence was so overwhelming that – for a moment – the God of Destruction of Universe 4 was just speechless but when he approached and offered his hand, she growled in anger and pointed her open palm at Caesar. The purple hakai aura was flared around her body and the true power of a God of Destruction was released as she began the motion known all too well by the gods. ”I will teach you what it means to defy a God, you insolent insect! HAKA-!” but before she could finish the act of erasing Caesar, the angel from Universe 4, Cognac, placed himself by her side and gently touched her arm, stopping the Hakai energy from obliterating Caesar.
”Lady Weiss, that wouldn’t be wise. He is a contestant from Universe 7 after all and we don’t want Zen’o-sama angry you hurt his entertainment by erasing one of the warriors.” he politely warned her and despite the furious glare she threw at the angel, she did lower her hand, hating every second of it. Kron, who was close enough, sighed deeply, relieved that Cognac was able to pacify the situation.
A bit earlier, Kron was talking to Mayuri, who explained he had used the potara fusion, which surprised the Grand Kaioshin. ”Oh, you used that technique? I see.” he said with a thoughtful expression on his face, glancing towards the arena with the most warriors for a brief moment, before looking back at the fellow Kaioshin. Another person approached the gods, though and Kron was the first to look at the rather young looking demoness.
The first thing she did was explain that Caesar wasn’t really a god, but had made himself into one thanks to the dragon balls of Earth. ”I see… I didn’t even know those orbs really did exist. They were nothing but legends in our universe… To think you have access to some sort of simpler version of it makes me wonder why you are in this situation in the first place…” he meant to say, in a polite and cautious way, that an universe blessed with dragon balls should be in a much better situation rather than on the brink of destruction.
But when she introduced herself as the Demon Goddess, Kron arched both his brows surprised, but it was Lady Weiss who spoke, taking a couple steps towards Nyxosa. ”You Universe 7 people are quite the bold ones, aren’t you?! Claiming Godhood as if it’s just a walk in the park! You are no god, girl! You are just another insect that fell in love with your own tale!!” her tone was absolutely bitter and once she said that, she turned around and walked away from them, being closely followed by Cognac. Kron stayed though. ”I don’t think we have such a type of god in our universe, though some people may claim they are what you are.” and his eyes fell onto Piero (Kamen no Saiyajin) and Buck Riddle (Hotato) once again, grimacing when the clown-looking demon suggested dropping the tournament and everything; as much as it pained him to admit, he needed them.
Before they could continue though, the Grand Priest started speaking again, and all the gods and angels kneeled before him, listening to the rules. Once he was done though and Cornatto addressed the King of All in such a casual manner, all of them seemed shocked: Cognac arched both his brows, whistling in surprise. Kron seemed quite frightened at the action and was looking from Cornatto to the King of All, expecting the worse and Lady Weiss seemed both shocked and insulted. ”Universe 7…. I will destroy you!” she growled.
Mayuri groaned as Caeser was... well, Caeser. Part of them almost wished that the Universe 4 Angel hadn't intervened... it would have saved all of them a lot of headaches down the line, that much the Potara Kaioshin was certain of. Even the Dragon Balls, at least not the Universe 7 ones, weren't capable of restoring someone who'd been Destroyed. The Super ones could probably do it... but Mayuri doubted anyone here would want to waste that sort of wish on bringing back the blue haired blow-hard. In any case, Kron raised a slight point, and Mayuri rubbed the back of their head. "Well, they're more trouble than they're worth really... as Caeser here definitely demonstrated..." they said, hiking a thumb towards the entity in question. "Some try to use them for immortality, wealth, restoring loved ones to life, stuff like that rather than what you'd think they'd be used for." the Eastern Kaioshin explained to their counterpart.
Mayuri shrugged at both the God of Destructions words as well as Krons. "Someone's got to be in charge of Makai." was all they managed to say before the Grand Priest began to speak, Mayuri quickly kneeling before his exaltedness, as well as the two Kings Of All. When Cornatto spoke to them so casually though, their hand smacking across their forehead was quite possibly the loudest sound in the Void at that time. "...We are so dead." Mayuri muttered before looking towards the offending Saiyan. <Cornatto, please try to not act so casually with the Kings Of All! One point of their finger and you'd cease to exist faster than you go say woops! They have destroyed universes simply because they were in a bad mood with them!> the Kaioshin telepathically explained to the Saiyan before looking over at the Zenos and bowing quite low towards them. "Our apologies your majesties!" One question did spring to Mayuri's mind though... where the hell were Lagerus and Weiss in all of this commotion?
While the participants of the tournament were milling about among themselves, some talking civilly while others immediately began the trash talk, Lord Lagerus and Whis were standing up in the stand dedicated for Universe 7. While Lagerus looked calm, Whis could easily tell that she was everything but. The God of Destructions breathing was much more rapid than usual, and her tail was moving about left and right impatiently.
"Perhaps we should have some lunch to calm your nerves my lord" Whis suggested, waving his hand and making two perfectly wrapped up bento boxed appear out of thin air. He would catch them and set them down on the table he created moments before putting them down. As he went to unwrap the packed lunches, his senses ran wild, as did Lord Lagerus. Zen-oh sama had arrived, and Lagerus was already soaring off of her perch and towards the King of all. Whis would leave the lunched where they were, lifting himself up off of the ground and following after his Lord. They would both land in front of Zen-oh and Lagerus would immediately bow, bending a knee towards the King of all.
"Your majesty. It is an honor as always, I can only hope that our fighters are sufficient to amuse you." She would say, a slight twitch to her mussel as she clearly had to swallow much of her own pride to appease Zen-oh sama. She was very much aware that the slightest mistake in her words, or anyone elses could spell the demise of Universe 7.
Her eyes would grow wide the instant Cornatto would call out towards Zen-oh so imfortally, the fur on her tail rising as she grit her teeth tightly. She wanted to yell at him, berate him and even vaporize him herself to protect their Universe! but doing so would be too obvious, and most likely made things worse... so she stayed still, trying not to lose her cool.
Whis meanwhile would glance over towards Kron, offering a friendly smile and a nod, remaining silent however as he would then turn back to Zen-oh sama and the Grand priest. It wasn't until the arena's began to split apart, that Whis felt it was polite to leave Zen-oh's company. Besides, the fighting was to start shortly, wasn't it?
Jarvis merely chuckled at her power as he had his energy ready to summon both the power of hell and the god form he'd been practicing at a moments notice. While he felt he couldn't beat her he also felt she didn't have the power to simply wipe him away as she though she did. "Its a shame... I feel you'd have been an amazing fuck. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I could have shown you great pleasure but if you aren't in such a desire then so be it." He'd say with a chuckle moving back to his own universe's bench after a short few moments chuckling as he did. Looking towards lagerus from a distance as he did licking his lips in a suggestive way as if to imply his tongue or lips could have had other purposes with the mild discreet gesture.

The small trickster didn't had to wait much and many more people just kept popping into the arena and out of it too. Something he quick noticed was the power of King Nasu, not many people were able to block their minds to the demon - "Hum...this one looks strong, how much exactly I can't know...can't I?" - and then he changed the target of his probing to the weaker saiyan present, Carva - "Hum, this help a little. Well, let's assume he is stronger than myself...thanks my witts for comming up with a plan B, C and D, hehehe". Was when Piero arrived and Buck felt his aura that his attention shifted a little towards the fellow demon - Piero, buddy. Talking like that you might hurt our dear Lord Kron's feelings, hehehe. But don't worry kaioshin, even if my friend lose his interest I have my eye on the prize, ain't that right Lady Weiss? I do hope to have all of my power back. AAAAAALLLLL of it. Seriously! I could've come ALONE if you would just give them back! - his last words came in a bizarre tone while his eye shone red - But serioulsy now - he turned back to normal and spoke to Piero - Saw your work. You sir, you are a true artist, keep up the good work.
Next was something really unexpected from Universe 7: a shinjin!
Caesar barely arrived and made himself interesting - "So many titles..." - Arrogant, strong and greedy...just Buck's kind of evil soul, for in his experience, the more evil the target, the easier to prey upon it's desires - "Hehehe, I might be able to strike a good bargain with him. Afterall, I have many things he would like to see". There were another powerfull individual who arrived at the arena and from Carva's memories this one's name is Komatsu, brother of Nasu and also a very strong fighter...thought not as stong as the tiny demon - "Huh...this one isn't evil per say...but there's something on him...I can't quiet put my finger on it..." - thought while rubbing his bowtie. In response to the shinjin's speech, Lady Weiss almost erased him, now and there, if not for her angel to calmly dissuade her. Riddle didn't lose the chance to poke a little: - Yeah, Lady Weiss. Think about what could've happen if our Goddess of Destruction went all 'loose-cannon' as always? Hehehe. Just joking milady, just joking.
Sometime later more people showed up. Some to participate, some to watch and cheer. One of this spectators then presented herself as a 'God', and that made the Goddess of Universe 4 mad...and that made Buck laught to himself.
Finally the two King's of All arrived - "Wait what?!" - and the Grand Priest called the attention to them. They said their piece and kept quiet, barely containing their anxiety while the Grand Priest explained the rules for this Tournament - "Huh...look at that, I might have a better chance than I had antecipated. Just hold myself until the end...while sowing some tricks, hehehe"
For some reason, probably because others were doing it too, Buck decided to cheer up his team. With a snape of his fingers, Buck materialized a megaphone from thin air and started cheering:
- C'MON U4!!! SHOW YOUR SPIRIT!!! U4!!! U4!!! U4!!! U4!!! U4!!!

Tomina gave Cervez a smirk when he compare her race to mice. Well, they might be the same to him, although it meant much more to her. So it wasn’t going to have let it fly.
“You too? I have the same problem you know. There are so many species that look so similar that it almost becomes the same, you know? I mean, I can barely tell the difference between you and the other mutts in the tournament. Well I give you credit for being well trained dog at least. Be a good boy and don’t start sniffing around like that other beast.”
Tomina jabbed her thumb towards the Universe 4’s wolf-like creature. Which hadn’t said a word up until this point. He really did seem like a dumb beast at first glance. Although he had to have enough intelligence not to attack his own comrades at least.
Tomina then glowered at the Anubian as he talked down to her about the invasion of Earth. That was still a sore subject matter with her. Her energy built up, the air heating up around her. The ground at her feet started to crack with the amount of pressure she was putting there.
“We were the better prepared force. We only lost because of divine intervention. If not for the Kai’s and their fusion technique, you would have all fallen. You may had won that battle against Carva regardless, but that victory was not Earth’s. Earthlings are a pitfully weak bunch who only remain free due to the charity of other species.”
Tomina’s energy dropped down back to normal before a fight broke out though. She seemed to know the risks of starting a fight with a fellow member of her team right there, she turned on her heel, walking away from Cervez. She had a few last words for him as she left.
“I suppose that doesn’t matter at this point though. I have to be careful with how I handle things from now on now that I know about this mortal level crap. Just invading a planet like that will only doom us all in the end. So Earth shall forever remain the one planet that the Saiyans could never conquer. What a farce: the planet with the weakest population is the only one we couldn’t claim.”
Soon after that the stadiums separated and they were unable to talk to one another vocally after that. Tomina shook her head at the Metalman’s comments towards her in amusement. Honestly, he seemed like such an innocent, naive fellow.
“I said I liked you more then most of my team. Which isn’t that hard of a bar to climb since most of them are my enemies. You don’t know that much about yourself? How can you call yourself a warrior if you don’t know what you can do?”
What his goal was seemed reasonable enough. He wanted to restore planets in his universe. At least until he got to the part about his wish. Tomina clenched her fist, her face darkening as she looked over at the imposing metalman. That wish… was not one that should be granted.
“Mortals aren’t meant to have the powers of a God. Someone made that wish with our dragonballs. Now he views himself as above everyone else with his Godly status. Even if I didn’t hate the wish you were after, I’m still going to be the one to get the Super Dragon Balls. I’m not going to lose here today.”
Tomina took this time to telepathatically communicate to Nasu. There had been something that had been bothering her that occured just as the arena split.
<Nasu, I want you to keep me updated on important things going on over there. If the worst case scenario occurs, I want to know what those three are capable of. Listen Nasu, the ones you need to watch out for are the green haired girl and that triangle. That clown is strong, but he’s acting like he still has something to prove. That triangle on the other hand… he’s acting like he doesn’t have to prove anything. Which means he’s probably even stronger then that clown, as harmless looking as he appears to be. That green haired girl has been quiet throughout all of this exchange. Which means that either she’ll be the easiest to deal with and doesn’t have as much experience, or she’ll be the most difficult to deal with due to how calm she is. Don’t let your guard down no matter what.>
Tomina turned her attention to the opposing group, waiting for the signal to start the fights. She would take care of Fusa as quickly as she could before helping the others take out their respective opponents. Hopefully things wouldn’t get too out of hand in the first round.

"Even though so," Fusa-san began to reply to Tomina "I don't mind that. Being liked by a fellow competitor compared to her own team is much better than being disliked and bitterly killed. Modicum of liking above enemy is what's important here I feel. Pardon me if that somehow offended you, I'm merely someone that's easily pleased. As for that, like I said, I'm not even a warrior. I'm merely a gardener. I'm a gardener who has gone through various planets to planets, trying to restore whatever nature has to offer to people. Rarely people appreciate what I did though. Those that appreciated me tried to use me, so I simply told them I'll rejuvenate at least an island worth of flora, and after that is up to them. Some more direct ones tried to immediately annex an area that I've rejuvenated, or when war happened, they would poison the spring I painstakingly made... so I swatted them, one by one. I can't tell them to stop of course. I'm an invader in their book. I came in unwelcomed and meddled with their planet. Even if it's beneficial, not everyone shared the same view. It's a pity, but at any rate, it's seem that I got stronger by doing that."
The Metalman's tone was as if he's talking about something funny. "At any rate, because of that it doesn't bother me. I rarely met my own species also so knowledge about what I can and what I can't do is irrelevant for me until now, hence why I'm not a warrior. While many thinks that I am, I merely view myself as a gardener first and foremost."
Her darkening expression did not escaped from the Metalman's notice. "...Ah, are you talking about that guy that happened to be with your... ah, I'm sorry if I were mistaken... your king, was it? The blue haired one, the one that the rest was saying was a shinjin? If that the case then I shall be careful. Now, thank you for your view, I'll keep that in mind. Perhaps my wish were misguided and I'll change my desire as the fight goes on, but at any rate, may the best fighter win, yes? If you win, then I wish for your happiness."
He purposely leave the what if situation about him winning. He cannot see the future where he win, but he'll make sure to drag at least one of the three down.

ADV Royal Demon Arts/INT Chaos Demon Style (Will be ADV-Master when HBTC thread concludes)
Heizen stayed relatively silent for most of these proceedings. Heizen had elected to reveal himself to the team in his Jackal Demon form, despite his new ability to suppress his power. For one he was going to need all of his power for the Tournament of Power - and couldn’t afford to suppress his energy. But the second reason was that he didn’t want any of his enemies to learn his face (his REAL face). He also elected not to wear his armor, as it was more ceremonial and this was more of a savage gathering of fighters. In his Jackal State he sported wild hair sprouting in all directions.
After the year he spent with Jarvis… well things got strange for Heizen. It was nice to be out of that mind control nonsense finally and back to his senses. But after the fact… he found himself.. Disturbed. One could tell he was not very happy. He thought to himself “Pft… Saiyans… more like a curse than a blessing. If only you knew, Universe Four…,” he thought to himself while rolling his eyes. He wasn’t much for socializing with this bunch.
Before he knew it however the giant girl wrapped her arms around both him and the big halfling Saiyan (considering his height… it was easy to guess he was only half blood). Heizen grinned and let out a soft chuckle. My this species was so forward. Jumping in front however was the Saiyan - whose ambitions and desire were made all to clear. He wondered if the Saiyan would be foolish enough to let himself get knocked off the arena. Heizen said nothing, but rather transmitted his own thoughts into the creature’s mind directly {“I hope you’re not trying to manipulate me, love. It’d break my heart if you were simply trying to knock me off by my pants~”} he cooed softly with a soft smile. This type of manipulation is exactly what he would try to do likely in his situation. But if it wasn’t… well. They’d find time in the bleachers after their fights to make sure her last words in this existence were cries of joy and pleasure.
{“Heh. Do be careful...Saiyan. There will be time for pleasures after the fight has concluded,”} he said, transmitting his thoughts into the Saiyan’s mind. Once the Saiyan asked for his name however… his eyebrows raised. Did he not know who he was? Heizen was sure that should be an insult, but in actuality it would serve as a pretty advantage for them. {“You don’t need to know my name yet. Just know that for this battle I’m an ally against a common foe…”}

Jinzo was horrified by the results of this event. All this dark and evil energy. To think that THEY had been called in to help their universe. {“Kron-sama… did we really need THEIR help to win this? They might be more of a hindrance than a benefit!”} he transmitted to the Kaioshin privately with his telepathy. Jinzo sighed as his power level was suppressed to about half its normal efficiency. He didn’t want to hide that he was strong… but he wouldn’t show how much. He was only a small step above the Insect Queen by their sensing standards. And that was all they would think until the fights began. Jinzo looked over to Cornatto with a sigh. “So much evil is gathered here. I can see now why both our universes are met with such a terrible fate,” he said to the Saiyan solemnly. “I hold no grudges or ill-will toward your universe. I simply fight to protect my home. As I always have… forgive me… Universe Seven…,” he said with a bow. The idea of erasing another universe to protect his own brought a heavy burden on the Yardrat. To take life was… one of his hardest tasks. And on this scale… it would surely bring much regret onto him.
That is if he did win. If he could not… then he would be sure to take as much of Universe Seven’s evil with him as he could before they were erased from existence...
