She hated it when Chris had a point. If they did rush in with everything and he had some kind of technique to deal with it all, then they would be in trouble. On the flip side if they didn't go all out on him with their best moves there was a chance that he could survive and make them pay.
The truth was that this was one hell of a shitty situation. No matter what they did they were going to have to take a gamble. When there were this many unknown variables, Tomina tended to go all out and not give her opponent a chance to do anything. But she wasn’t exactly working with a squad who felt the same way. Some kind of compromise had to be made.
<Well we can't very well have you collapse like Corn did, can we? Fine, save your spirit bomb and fire it when you know it will hit. That doesn't mean we can't launch an offensive though. We’re going to have to put pressure on this guy.>
Well, they weren't quite on the same page yet, but this was a step in the right direction. If they could agree on a plan of attack then they would all be able to launch a deadly coordinated assault. Chris was essential to taking down Piero. If he didn't get on the same wavelength as everyone else, they were all doomed.
<Well no shit. We have the number advantage, so we can be a little more reckless as long as we ensure that at least one fighter survives. Our lives don't mean shit either: if some of us die in the process of defeating this bastard, then that's fine. It's better than no longer existing.>
Tomina listened as Chris told her about his capabilities. Aside from being useful information that she could potentially use in the future, having an idea on how Chris’s techniques worked made working together much easier. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each fighter was essential.
<We’ve come this far, and are almost there. There's no point in holding back on the last foe. When the time is right you need to give it your all. We need to settle it quickly once we go on the offensive. The longer this goes on the more chances he gets to pick us apart. It's going to take everything our weaker fighters have just to survive his attacks. We’ll light the fucker up together with everything we got!>
Tomina was glad that the demons were being as cooperative as they were. Both of them seemed willing to to work together with her. One was especially helpful in formulating a battle plan. Granted there were still some bumps on the road of battle.
<If we win the tournament, she loses. That’s how she's going to pay. Speaking of emotions, I can't decide whether I should be proud that you think of me so highly, or mad at your desire for me to vanish into nothingness. I plan on sticking around demon. We work together for the time being. After this asshole is defeated it's back to us hating each other again. Although I’m going to have to take a different approach from now on: I have to keep the mortal level in mind.>
The relationship between the demons and the Saiyans was going to be an issue. Tomina didn't see the hatred both sides had for each other would dissolve after the tournament was over. One day one of them was going to make a move against the other. Which in turn would put their universe into jeopardy. It was an issue that required a lot of thought now that she couldn't do the simple solution of “blow everything up.”
Still, Tomina recognized that he had come way to get to where he was. If they made it out alive they would no doubt meet again as enemies in the future. Still, I'd his ambitions drove him to go all out against Piero, that was all that mattered.
Tomina looked out towards the demon Piero. It was amazing that something that couldn't be sensed had this much pressure. This wasn't like an android where you couldn't even locate them by ki sensing. It was vast and in their faces, entirely incomprehensible to the likes of them.
<That’s right, you’ve never seen a God form before, have you? I’ve seen it a few times, but I don't know that much about not it either. Basically that ki can't be sensed and gives you unholy strength. This goes beyond all the other forms Over encountered though. That’s the fouled energy I’ve ever felt. I mean, damn!>
That seemed like a fair statement of their current situation, and the things that led up to it. Nasu and Komatsu falling after all but one of Universe 4’s strongest fighters. Then again this whole tournament had been utterly insane.
<Not only did Nasu and Komatsu lose, but there's barely a scratch on that wannabe God! I mean he should have taken some kind of damage. You guys got off lucky. When Chris and Koma fused they were strong enough to kill Nasu. I guess superior fighters create a superior fusion.>
Still, they hadn't been lucky enough. They didn't have the time to recover rate before thus round began. At the very least they would have had more energy if nothing else. Still, what they did get was still valuable.
<I’m not surprised. Emotions are the key to unlocking new power for many species. You were all pushed to your limits with the highest of stakes at hand. Anyone with a scrap of talent in them would evolve to new heights. They would have defeated you if you hadn't pushed beyond your limits.>
Tomina was glad to see the demon respond to her words with the enthusiasm that he did. He seemed more than willing to take on the foe before them. She felt like they were starting to come together as a unit. Well, a temporary one anyway.
<I can't make any promises against a foe like that. I’m doing all I can to make him focus on me. Although he might decide to go after the weaker members of our group first. If he does something you can't handle then I’ll step in. You made it this far with your own power, so suck it up and deal with whatever comes your way.>
Things somehow got even worse for them. The purple dog creature informed her that Piero could potentially have the ability to wipe them from existence. Ohhhhh joy. Unfortunately that would explain one thing… kind of.
<Well that would explain why Komatsu didn't show up in the stands after being defeated. Then why was Nasu just defeated normally? Maybe he has a limitation on how many times he can use it. But then why use it on the weaker brother and not the stronger one?>
Tomina scratched the side of her head, a bemused look on her face as she pondered what this all could mean. Komatsu’s aura had completely disappeared the same way Caesar had. It just added to the weirdness of this already bizarre tournament. Well, ultimately it didn't change the game plan.
<Well we're getting erased if we lose this tournament anyway. Given the circumstances it's no different than dying. If that form isn’t natural then he probably can't fully control it yet. I'm not going to go and get myself killed for no reason, but duck if I’m going to cower at the possibility of being erased.>
Blah blah blah, displaying my full power. Live your final moments in pain, yada yada yada. Tomina was no danger to bragging and monologuing like that. In fact, she had done a fair share of it in her lifetime (and was proud of some of it). At this point though, all that kind of tall just went one ear and out the other if there wasn't anything memorable about it.
Tomina would have feigned a yawn if she wasn’t busy charging her attack. He was going to have to say or do something more impressive than that if she was going to bother to trade banter with him. At least this was a normal thing she was familiar with though. Although that probably wouldn't last long. Scratch that, it certainly didn’t last long.
Piero was able to deduce that they were talking telepathically. That was a first. Granted all the other times she used it were in much more hectic battle situations. Well he didn’t seem to be able to actually read their minds at least. So he wouldn’t be able to tell exactly what they were planning. He seemed smart enough to figure things out if they were too obvious, so they would have to be careful.
The word “die” reverberated in her mind, as it likely did in the minds of everyone else on her team. With that telepathic message sent, the void blazed to life with the power that he possessed. The vast expanse was filled with his very presence. Tomina immediately send out a telepathic message to everyone on her team.
<Here he comes! If at one of you has the strength to gather energy, now is the time to do that! The rest of you need to react to what he does. If you don’t have the strength to do that, wait until you do! We’re going blast this fucker into oblivion together!>
Much to her surprise, Piero didn’t go for her or Chris. He went for the weakest person in her group. Picking off the weaker people to focus on stronger opponents wasn’t an uncommon strategy, but it wasn’t something you did when the two strongest warriors had already gathered so much energy. This guy was acting like they didn’t even exist. He really did seem to think he was untouchable. Tomina yelled over at the self-proclaimed God.
“HEY ASSHOLE! You don’t need to be a God to wipe the floor with a cockroach like that! Come on, spite us for our blasphemy! There’s no point in playing shy anymore, not after you erased Komatsu’s soul!"
Well that would probably get his attention. Throwing out that she new a bit about an ability he possibly had hopefully would make him pause for a moment at the very least. His attack on Heizen didn’t look too devastating. Her energy was too precious to waste this early. When she struck, she had to be absolutely sure it would do something. If they attacked him before they were ready, they would be left vulnerable, and he would take advantage of it. He could afford to waste energy: they couldn’t.
[WC=1,920] [TWC=5,530]
Tomina telepathically talks to Chris, Heizen, and Cervez in succession. Then mentally addresses everyone on her team.
He could feel the energy starting to pull from his grasp as he drew upon it more and more. There was alot of energy stored up here as was, and only more was going to come the longer this went on. This was how this final battle was to be now wasn't it. Just the both of them charging their attacks like this trying to cope for it the best they could? As much as this seemed strategically like the right decision, something else about it just didn't feel right. Something about it just didn't sit well in his gut. Was it the saiyan pride? The pride against attacking an opponent who isn't even reacting to them? No, that wasn't it, and as far as now, he wasn't too sure either on what it was.
Even as Tomina began to chat inside of his mind discussing with him on where exactly they were to go next from here. It was a relief to finally have Tomina understand why he couldn't just dump all of his energy reserves on the get go. It at least made things slightly easier to plan from for this point forwards. That was the thing though wasn't it. With an enemy as unpredictable as this, they couldn't really keep planning to too much of a higher standard. Otherwise they could get themselves all planned up for an opponent who could change right on the spot.
He couldn't expect the demon to have held up forever, of course he was going to eventually have made his move, it was only expected, but for him to deduct of their telepathic usage, that wasn't exactly good news for them all, but in truth they had all screwed up. They had stayed too quiet against an opponent who had fought against many weaker than them here right now. He wanted to hit himself for the sheer stupidity he had made here. He should've thought to realize it sooner, of all of their lack of speech physically. Damn, it was no matter now though. He knew now that they had been planning something, he just didn't know what they were planning.
The energy in his attack was still growing more and more, it was reaching quite critical powers now, but still, there was some lack to it in his gut, something that didn't feel right. Something he couldn't quite place. Not until Tomina has spoke her words. "No, all lives have their meaning, no matter how small..", he would begin as he gazed towards the charging Pierro, Chris would begin to look from the demon king to those in the stand. "I can't, call me weak, a coward, whatever I don't care, but I can't standby and charge while watching this happen! KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!", Chris would shout as the red aura flared around him, he could feel it burning through his remaining energy, but he had to fight for this, he couldn't just standby and watch!
His hand was enwrapped into an aura, a claw shape boreing upon it as he tapped into his own relatively minor destructive energy. Nowhere near the real thing, but who cared at this point. His increased speed from the kaioken making his movement go faster than the God just for this point. His claw was swift, as he moved to grasp the fist heading towards the demon king, his increased speed having allowed a save...this time. "Heh...heh...you're as good at dethroning kings...as I am at making sure gods stay dead.", Chris would begin to speak with a hefty breath, he could feel the kaioken's drain on his body already starting to burn. "Demon King, despite what Tomina said, all our lives matter even at the threat of erasure, we're fighting...for someone, each of us right?"

Once more, everything was happening so quickly around the halfbreed from all of the massive powers in the arena. But all of it culminated together at the word 'die' that rang out in his head in a low tone and made him almost want to hold onto his skull to not give in to it. Was this the power that this being held? Just his words alone inside of the demon's brain felt like heated iron being pressed into flesh to leave a mark. How could anybody face this guy naturally? The only thing to pull the group through would most likely be the threat of erasure for their entire universe looming overhead. They kept half of their team's roster while eliminating all but one opponent. Yet somehow, it felt like this one opponent could change it all in an instant.
Within those few moments, the opponent was on Heizen in an instant. This wouldn't be too dire for the group normally as he was only being struck with a regular punch, but Heizen was currently the most weakened member of their team after the halfbreed's extreme blunder in the previous Arena. This was his fault. Alas, the demon was far too slow to interrupt with anything at all. He could perhaps jump in the way of the attack with high-speed movement, but that'd just end with him ringing himself out, saving the Demon King but causing himself to be out of the tournament. If he fired his strongest attack to void the clown's punch as well, it'd just end up hurting Heizen anyways just like in the previous Arena.
In this instance, he was useless. But that feeling of dread would immediately drop off of the face of the arena itself as Chris took the initiative to counter the opponent's blow with his own attack. That would buy them another second to prepare. However, then, he had to make a choice between what he was going to do. He felt like a small fry in the middle of all of this, could he even compete through all of this to attack in a way that meant something? He promised he was going to heal and all... he just needed to bide a little more time. But he didn't have to make that decision right away. He needed a moment in either case, to wait for an opportunity to heal his allies or to attack.
Bernael's hand raised up towards the extremely powerful opponent before him, putting his all into aiming at the man once more. He could decide in the next moment if he was going to join in with his attack, or if he was going to stall to restore either Chris or Tomina if they were in need of support. He had nothing really vocally to add here it felt... he just had to focus with everything he had! His team wasn’t exactly subtle about their conversation. How annoying. If they were smart they would have minimized their actions so that Piero would be none the wiser about the fact they were communicating and strategizing. Now he would be more on his guard! Heizen probably also made a mistake with his loud shout, but emotion had overtaken him in the light of his fear which he fought so hard to resist. His brain hurt from the intensity of Piero’s broadcast, his overwhelming power surging through Heizen like a shotgun.
Tomina continued to banter with him, and it was getting on his nerves. {“Can you blame me for desiring your non-existence? You Saiyans have done nothing but threaten my home, my family, and my way of life. You lost your planet because your King declared war on us,”} Heizen would say with a huff through the telepathic conversation they bounced around in their brains.
As far as the Saiyans and the Demons were concerned - she was right. More than she ever knew. {“You’re right. Nothing is forgiven. It doesn’t matter to me whether I have to wait a decade, a century, or a millenia. I will wait for this Universe to stabilize, and when it does - there will be a reckoning for your people… I promise you…,”} Heizen would say. It was the most he had interacted with a Saiyan, and even still he could barely stand them. They were cooperating well, and still he felt a burning hatred inside of him. All he could think about was the Saiyan who had held Nyxosa hostage on Saiya, and the Saiyan King who had humiliated him on Earth, and the same King who had told him he would destroy Makai with his Godly power.
He hated them.
{“It definitely looks odd. To think this transformation could be so much stronger than Jarvis’ Super Saiyan Rose form… And I had thought that power was impressive…,”} Heizen commented on the situation. This new power before them was incomprehensible to him. It terrified him, but he notated it for later. This power was something to be desired. He needed to reach this level someday if he hoped to ever stand a chance against these rotten Saiyans and their rainbow transformations.
{“I have seen a God Form before… But nothing like this. I guess we now know how the sons of Natto could fall so easily. A Demon God of Destruction is a horrifying thing.
Don’t patronize us. That Fusion was more than you could have handled by yourself I assure you. That Fusion was on par with Nasu’s own power, or at least his power in his dubbed ‘Super Saiyan 3’ form. They also had bizarre techniques capable of redirecting our attacks back at us. That’s how the Anubian over there lost his arm. He put all his energy into a Tri Beam and then had it reflected, only to dodge and then lose the arm in the process,”} Heizen would defend the Arena 3 fighters, at the notion that they ‘got off easy’. There was nothing special about the fighters from Arena 2, save for that one enormous power at the end. So he couldn’t fathom why she was so dismissive of their struggle.
And that was the last of his transmissions he would be able to give out before Piero charged at him. Heizen froze for a moment as fear completely overtook him, how was this guy so fast?
It was then that the other Saiyan hybrid would rush in and clash against the Demon God’s attack, pushing him off the Demon King and saving him from a humiliating defeat. Heizen could only sigh in relief. {“I am in your debt… Saiyan…,”} he said, albeit a bit begrudgingly. To think that one of these hybrids would be the one to save him from an unfortunate demise. Heizen would never in a million years have bet that a Saiyan (even a hybrid one) would be his savior.
{“Since he can actually listen to me… he’ll be the one receiving my services… Captain,”} Heizen would say with the title of Captain being used bitterly. She had been willing to just let him die, despite the fact that his healing could have given them a tactical advantage later on. All he needed was the few seconds he asked for, and she couldn’t even grant him that.
{“My power… it’s… returning!!!”} Heizen would state as his form begin to grow and enlarge by two feet, and his skin began to turn into a red hue. He was already a fairly big Demon in his normal monster form, but this ascended form was much bigger in size. Eight feet tall and weighing over a thousand pounds. Black Fur protruded from his skin as his eyes turned into a glowing purple. In this state his power was quite a bit more substantial, which help him last a bit longer in this tournament, but more importantly..
He was able to give out heals now.

'The most likely reason was to instill fear in Nasu or perhaps get some sort of reaction out of him. Though your deduction doesn't sound too far off.' Cervez spoke with a detached tone in his voice, not really putting his whole attention into the conversation since he was still keeping his eyes on Piero to see when he'd strike. 'I only spoke with Komatsu a few times, so I don't know shit about his brother. But what I do know is that sometimes the bond between families can be a powerful thing... or your biggest weakness. Saiyans don't really seem to care about such matters as far as I'm aware, but you never know.'
Remembering his battle and the following humiliation by the hands of that fused being; Spirabi brought a harsh scowl upon his muzzle. The stump of his arm aching and throbbing in phantom pain as he remembered her sword cleaving straight through flesh and bone, leaving him with a sole arm to defend himself with against her onslaught.
But he persevered and managed to buy enough time for the others so once the fusion ended they became easy picking... or well, relatively speaking that is.
'Such a pity she had to die; I'd loved to exchange ideas about our School's potential.' The Anubian shook his head from those thoughts. She was dead now, no use crying over spilled milk.
His momentary lapse of attention almost costed him; his attention being immediately put towards Piero, the jackal-humanoid wincing at the single word echoing strongly inside his mind with the single command to just Die.
Then Piero struck.
Too fast to follow, the empowered being aimed his attack at Heizen, but before it could have struck he was stopped by Christopher. Seeing his chance, the Anubian darted in front of Piero, his sole hand extended forth; palm splayed outward at the male's face. 'EVERYONE! CLOSE YOUR EYES!' Cervez's voice rang out loudly in their combined mind-link before he cried out vocally. "Super Solar Flare!" A harsh blinding light exploded from within his palm and around his body, the beacon of light aimed so it would stun Piero for a few precious seconds so they could regroup and act accordingly.
Using what little stamina he had left almost brought the Anubian to his knees, but he clenched his teeth and stood back up with a growl and small roar of defiance he rose back up, his form flaring with Hakai Genki; shrouding his whole body as his power level sky-rocketed upward for a few moments before it settled.

With his new burst of energy, the Anubian put some distance between him and the overpowered being before him, once again contacting the others through their mind-link. 'Everyone listen up! If my gamble worked then now's the time to finish this! Perhaps he was strong enough to completely overpower the others but if we combine our powers then we can win this!'

Creatures of Destruction - The Anubians being proudly great at destruction gain a 10% boost to their offensive attacks and a +2 to their offensive power level when they are attempting to destroy something in a rod or saga.
[BG][PT-1] Destructive Potential - The tip of the iceberg for the Destruction School. Once the user has the strength and the dominance over the destructive properties of their Ki they can begin to train the more advanced techniques. All Anubians can skip this stage since they already understand the meaning of Destruction but it's never too late to refine it to the next level. Mechanically it works by passively giving the user an x1 boost to their offensive attacks and giving most of their offensive techniques a purple-glow of destructive energy added to it as flavor.

His fist roared forward, ripping through the atmosphere of the World of Void at an incredible speed. A determined expression came across his face, but before his might fist could make contact with its intended target a flash of energy collided with it. In that split second of time, something or someone was faster than Piero, outputting more energy than he had expected. With a small explosion upon impact with Chris' energy claw from the Dragon Aura Strike attack, Piero's fist missed its mark, forcing the newly crowned God of Destruction staggering backwards with a bit of an surprised expression on his face. Staring down at his right hand, part of that destruction aura had seemingly been pushed away, exposing his bare, bronzed skin underneath. He was in pain. HE, a god, was pained by a mere mortal. Piero's lips curled into a fierce snarl, exposing both rows of teeth tightly gnashed together while a vein protruded from his forehead. Finally, he'd glare upwards at Chris, the comment about killing gods only adding to his rage. "...That.... That...." Piero took a single, deep gulp before exploding in a rage filled roar. "THAT HURT!!"
Finally, his destruction energy slowly enveloped his right hand and arm once again. Poised to counter attack, his attention focused on Chris, he was once again stopped in his tracks. "EH?!" As Cervez yelled out, a blinding light filled the World of Void, causing Piero to scream in pain as both hands came up to cover his eyes, albeit too late. The bright flash blinded the Demon terribly, stinging pain filling his head as he was actually rendered down to one knee. That rage induced vein never stopped throbbing on his head, in fact it pulsated more now with the thought of being felled by such an infantile attack! Not even the sheer power of Nasu and Komatsu could do this to Piero. This could not be the end for him and his dream of becoming an Omnipotent being, to ascend even higher than a God of Destruction. His hands dug into his eyes still, groaning out. "Y-You bastards...!! How dare you! I... I will make you regret that!!"
Although, at the moment, there was nothing that Piero could do besides try to rake and scratch out the blindness from his eyes.

<I realize now that all life does have meaning. But some lives are more important than others. Would we have been chosen for this tournament if we weren't more valuable to them? Of course not! Even the Gods place value on living beings.>
Chris wasted no time, springing into action the moment Piero attacked their most vulnerable teammate. He countered the punch and managed to land a blow on Piero. She didn’t expect for him to get hit that easily. It wasn’t much, but it certainly was something. She scoffed, seemingly annoyed by how things had played out. Although her outward appearance didn't entirely project what she thought at the moment.
<How can I call you a weak coward when you jumped in front of a pseudo God of Destruction to save someone else. You hit that fucker real good too! I hope you still have enough energy left to fight. Cause he isn't going to take too kindly to a lowly mortal punching him.>
His blind courage actually came in useful for once. Tomina couldn't help but feel a little resentment towards the fact that he did not act that way in the first round. She definitely understood why he didn't help her when that wolf tag teamed her. They didn't get along from the start. But he had let Cornatto suffer fighting two opponents for the same time and nearly hit him with his Spirit Bomb. Weren't those two friends? Honestly Chris being simultaneously necessary and unpredictable was a maddening combination. This time it worked out in their favor at least. But the sooner they could take out the clown the better.
One of the demons who seemed to have a good amount of energy didn't charge an attack. Or do anything for that matter. Were they trying to gain as much energy as possible before doing anything? The demon may not give them that chance though. So she hoped whatever her teammate was planning would come to fruition soon.
Speaking of demons, the other one on her team decided to convey his hatred of the Saiyan race. It wasn’t as though she didn't understand how he was feeling. But he still had everything. He didn't know what true loss felt like. To be left with absolutely nothing after having it all.
<Don't blame us for all of your woes when you could have just left well enough alone and stay in your own dimension. The truth of the matter is that a long time ago, most sentient races decided to live by one simple truth. Those that held the most power had the right to do whatever they want. Kold Demons, Saiyans, Brenchians, everyone has lived by this decree. It's been the natural order of things for a long time. Most species don't have the luxury of having a pocket dimension. So they have either had to fight or submit to stronger species. Kold Demons, Brenchians, Saiyans, it's all the same. Races fighting to control anything they can take.>
Tomina had known how fucked up the universe was for a long time. Only the demon realm had been spared from the horrors that every other race had to endure.
<We all created this shitty world. This world fueled by power and hatred. And look where we are now! You don't have to forgive us: I certainly will never forgive the people who have wronged me. But if you seek retribution then you’ll start the cycle all over again. And I won't let the universe be put into danger like that, now that I know the truth of the universes.>
Honestly it amazed Tomina that everyone was still acting like this. They were completely willing to continue to seek destruction despite what they knew. The mortal level was nothing but an inconvenience to them.
Why couldn’t they see the truth? Many people were still blinded by their anger: waging war against an entire species was only going to kill vast casualties and spread hatred further. If the cycle wasn’t broken, then they would destroy themselves even if they won here today.
Still, they couldn't let themselves get too off track at the moment. They had much bigger problems to deal with. Specifically the psychopathic clown hell bent on destroying them all.
<It isn't odd if you consider what kind of power it is. It's the same as what I’ve felt coming from the Gods of Destruction I’ve encountered. Lagerus was able to hold Nasu's Super Saiyan 3 form at bay with just a single finger. Even a fraction of that power would be far above anything Caesar was capable of.>
Lagerus’s power was beyond insane. Tomina was starting to get a picture on the nature of God forms. She wasn’t able to sense them, but she had seen enough to realize that not all God forms were equal. The pinnacle of it all seemed to be the energy the Gods Of Destruction had. It would explain why Piero was able to off both Komatsu and Nasu at the same time.
Was her choice of words really that bad? The demon thought that she had been insulting them when she said that they were lucky to survive. It seemed as though she would have to clarify things.
<I’m not saying that you didn't take them out with your skills and that you were just lucky. It’s just that the last time that technique was used, the strongest in our universe died to it. You guys manage to pull through against that power. You guys showed those cheating bastard who’s boss!>
Honestly the tournament should have been wrapped up by this point. The truth was that Universe 7 had the overall superior fighters by a significant margin. Even with all the tricks they has used, Universe 4 only had one fighter in the final round while Universe 7 had only lost half of their total fighters. There was no doubt in Tomina’s mind that this would have been a slaughter had they not resorted to underhanded tactics.
<Universe 4 resorted to a bunch of shady shit. They hid an extra fighter inside of another fighter at my end, and then they pull off this fusion technique and gave one of their fighters the power of a God of Destruction And I wonder about that. There's a lot you don't know about me. I have a technique that could have dealt with whatever abomination you ended up facing.>
If she had gone straight into their position than Heizen would have been right: she would have been no match for the Fusion. With what Serge gave her though, it would have been been a completely different story. Of course this power up wasn’t hers and would go away after the tournament ended. But it wouldn’t hurt to make others think that it was something that she had at her disposal.
Well that had gone to shit fast. The demon had taken it personally when she didn't jump in to intervene. And now Chris of all people was going to be rewarded for his foolhardy move. A well intended one that saved the demon from taking any damage, but a foolish one in that it left him vulnerable. Still… this wasn't the worst possible outcome. At least the demon was back to full strength.
<I can't afford to waste any energy for my plan to work. Even if Chris had not intervened you probably could have survived that punch. If you couldn't have, then you could climb out of the afterlife as easily as that oath Carva did. This works for me: keeping Chris healthy is more important. I’m not going to need to be healed for what I have in mind.>
Her attention was shifted a bit towards her conversation with then dog-like creature. He offered one possible explanation as to why Nasu would have been “spared” from being wiped out from existence. She had her own theory as to why he was spared. It did branch off from his guess though.
<Maybe it was to prove a point to us. He did go out of his way to mention that he defeated Nasu. Him sitting up in the benches serves as his proof. It's probably a way to intimidate us. I’ll admit he’s doing good job at that.>
Ah, the subject of Saiyan family relationships. Now there was a complicated topic if there ever was one. It varied wildly across the board as to how those related to each other treated their respective family members.
<It depends on the Saiyan and the exact relationship they have with each other. My mother was an Empire Saiyan all the way through. She nearly killed her own brother after he disagreed with her on an issue. She was slightly more lenient towards me and her other kids. Although anyone tends to feel more attached to someone they gave birth to. That’s usually where the strongest bond between Saiyans lie.>
The dog creature took the advantage of the moment that Chris had provided and decided to use some type of technique to stun him. Tomina had initially closed her eyes as asked, but opened them once it became clear that the light wouldn't bother her. She didn’t want to lose track of Piero’s movements.
When the light faded, Tomina could clearly see her purple teammate kneeling on the ground. Unfortunately that little stunt seemed to have taken all the energy that he had. Then to her amazement, both his energy and power level spiked up significantly. He refused to let that be the end. Not only that, but he actually blinded Piero! Tomina couldn’t help but let out a smirk.
<You don’t have to tell us all twice. You did quite a number on him right there. No wonder that fusion lost against you guys: you just keep evolving when you need to the most! Alright, let's send this fucker into the abyss.>
Tomina had mostly charged up the energy that she would need. This was a unique opportunity though, so she was going to have to blast him now. Hopefully this would be good enough to finish him when combined with everyone else's attacks. There was only one thing left to do. Tomina gathered energy, taking a deep breath to prepare herself for what was to come. Then she shouted out three words of power that reverberated in the void.
“KAIOKEN TIMES TWENTY!”
Tomina roared, her energy skyrocketing to unprecedented levels. A scorching wind burst from her, threatening to knock back anyone who wasn’t prepared for it. Debris flew all over the arena, displaced by the sheer force of the energy. At its epicenter was the hybrid, surrounded by a red aura that blazed like a bonfire. Unfortunately, all was not well with Tomina.
She howled in agony, her body tremor in violently with the effort she was putting into keeping her charge intact. Just standing was taking nearly all that she had. Let alone keeping the energy she had stored up. Pain shot through her entire body. She felt like her veins were evaporating from a fire that was blazing inside of her.
A tremendous pressure was pushing down on her. She felt like she was drowning and burning alive at the same time. Vaguely she could hear Karen screaming at her from the stands, but it sounded so far away. It was as if she was below a vast ocean of water and her sister was yelling at her from above the surface.
<Is this what Serge felt every time he used this technique? How did he just slip into this mode without collapsing in agony? It’s… AGGGH! >
Tomina grit her teeth, trying her best to endure it. Her vision began to get blurred. Gradually darkness began to envelop the world around her. She could feel herself slipping away despite her best interest. Then in the darkness, three figures appeared.
”You can't fucking die here! You’re supposed to live long after today!”
“Come on love, you're almost there. Don't let a demon stop you from coming back.”
”You’ve come so far Tomina. Please, for both of our sakes… live.”
The three figures became clear. Hasenya, Tarro, and Karen stood before them. Hasenya had her arms folded, looking as though she was about to scold Tomina. Tarro was giving her a smile despite the serious situation. Karen was standing there, her hands clasped like she was making a prayer. Tomina gave them all a pained grin, trying to shrug things off like it wasn’t a big deal.
<I’m just adjusting to this technique that I acquired. I’ll kick Piero’s ass in a moment. I’m coming back to all of you, don't you worry.>
Hasenya let out one of her patented huffs, while Tarro chuckled at her attitude even in the position she was in. Karen frowned, but gave her a nod. All three faded away. Tomina felt around inside her for all the power that she had.
”HAAAAAAAA!”
Tomina let out a fierce cry. Her vision snapped back into focus. The darkness was dispelled so quickly, as if the hybrid flipped a switch. The pain and pressure were still there, but it was manageable now.
<It's just as he said! We need to combine our powers to defeat him! We won't get a better chance than this, so let's go all out!>
Tomina shouted telepathically, raising her arms into the air. She then swing them down, her palms facing Piero as she shouted what would hopefully be her last words to the demon.
"I’ve made it all the way to the second round without using any of my energy reserves! I’m using them all to finish you off. Have a taste of Hell before vanishing into nothingness! FIREFLY FLICKER!!!"
Tomina roared, flames sprouting up on the ground and in the air. They formed into various creature, all of which charged at the demon. A virtual army was coming at him in an endless stream. Many of them merged together to create a massive stream of fire that flew at the demon. Others flew around it, moving and strafing in the air to get into position. They flickered before flying at the self proclaimed God. The very air around them seemed to be distorted by the heat from that blast. To those in its vicinity, it would feel akin to standing on the surface of a sun.
Everyone would be able to feel a smidgen of demonic energy emanating from Tomina. She had put everything she could into this attack. Including one of the techniques that Kinoko had taught her. Tomina hoped that this would mark the end of the being that threatened to destroy their entire universe.

His eyes could only open in shock as his aura pushed back the destructive aura of the god. This power then, if his aura control had managed to push it back, this power the demon possessed, it had to be tied to the afterlife then hadn’t it, or whatever it was that made up the afterlife. This was an astounding revelation, if he delivered a strong enough aura attack, perhaps he could hold off that destructive aura enough for them to actually touch him. It was that hope that gave him enough of a threshold to stand further. Even with how angry Pierro seemed towards him now, he didn’t care. “Heh, I suppose that’s why you got me here still Pierro, someone’s gotta remind you that even gods can be hurt.”, Chris would begin to make his comment as he would push himself offwords from Pierro. It would be bad idea after all to remain interlocked with the GoD, especially when the three of them were all close together here.
Upon Cervez’s shout, it was quick for such to happen. He looked away, closing his eyes along with it, the bright light to ensue having escaped his own demise. The fair warning having given plenty of time. The result however, being more than satisfactory as he heard the demon’s cries of pain. However, danger wasn’t immediately out of the way as of Tomina’s attack, it wasn’t much, but with the rest of his energy he knew it was too risky to try and add energy towards the attack, he had lost his chance to take a proper aim against his opponent and would only result in hurting the one right next to him. He couldn’t try to strike Pierro either or he was be placing himself even further directly into the attack, considering the demon god was right next to him after all. There was only one real logical solution he saw here. “Feel free to add what you need here, but were too far into danger close, I’ll use my speed to pull us both out of here so we’re not hit by the others, do whatever you feel is necessary for…this.”, was all he would simply say as he would attempt to grab Heizen and pull him out of friendly fire range of any who were to fire on, while still providing Heizen with the means to attack if he needed to. Continuing his private message to Heizen, “I’m no Saiyan, a Saiyan wouldn’t care if you died there, I gave up my Saiyan roots when I joined my family, when I became a Celestial.”

Everything culminated itself into one moment for the universe, as Chris actually got a hit in on the opponent who seemed just like an unbeatable wall at this point. If they could hurt him like that repeatedly then there was a chance, even if a slim one, that they could win. The chance of putting out some sort of damage skyrocketed further once Cervez used a technique extremely similar to the one that Serabi had used a few times. But seeing how some of their other techniques were also similar, it was of no surprise at all that he had this as well. The Anubian's warning gave the halfbreed a fair enough time to look away and close his eyes to the blinding light that Cervez put out. Considering the sinister energy their opponent seemed to be giving off, perhaps it would be no challenge to avoid this light like everyone else was able to. But the sound of surprise from the clown made it seem all too clear that he was blinded now.
That was their chance, and while the hybrid would have liked to take a little bit more to get some rest or to use his power for healing, it seemed that it was the perfect chance to unleash the complete fury of universe seven down upon this opponent. The words of both Cervez and their team Captain, Tomina, practically demanded this of him. It seemed they were going to unleash an all-out attack on their opponent! The extreme energy that emanated from Tomina in that instant, was also absolutely incredible as she used a technique similar to Chris' but more potent. "I'll add my own power, to assist as much as possible." the hybrid would add to both Tomina and Cervez as he held his blade out. "I know I have called you a lot but... one last time on this day. Oh, holy blade, grant me your power." he'd pray these words to himself, begging for the sword he trained in the arts of to envelop his blade one more time during this tournament. A golden pillar would reach towards the sky from his sword. This time, it would not be tainted by his demonic half, however, as his reserves were entirely tapped from his battle against the fusion. It would have been so much better in that instance, but anything he could do to assist was better than nothing.
It seemed that Chris was also further helping Heizen out of the blast range of the attacks, seeing as they could suffer from friendly fire in this culmination of blasts easily. Hopefully, his power wouldn't be needed to put this clown to rest. Since they couldn't feel their opponents power at all, however, it was more of a gamble than anything to hope that this combined attack would actually take the opponent down in his time of weakness. But all doubt washed away as Tomina fired probably the largest attack that the halfbreed had ever seen. "That power... I..." he muttered to himself a bit in a weak, hushed tone. His attack hardly mattered here at all in the grand scheme of things, it was all her here, he was just backup. But that didn't mean he could give up, his attack was far too slow to actually keep up firing alongside, so instead, his Excalibur would have to be launched in a way so that it would combine with Tomina's attack as it launched towards Piero. "Here goes nothing... EXCALIBUR!" he roared out with all of his fury as his golden pillar of light slammed down to launch towards Piero, the beam clinging onto Tomina's blast after a point to spiral around it, the two attacks heading to knock into the clown. Laughable. Utterly fucking laughable. Heizen’s rage only grew as Tomina dared to speak of things she did not understand or had any actual information about. She called Makai a “luxury”. She said Demons didn’t understand what it was like to fight for their right to survive. A purple aura surrounded him as his awakened power flourished with rage. “What the fuck do you know about Makai?” Heizen said aloud in front of everyone, without his telepathy active. His anger had reached a point that he had used words instead of thoughts. The rest of his speech to Tomina would be telepathic however, as he quickly saw his mistake. {“Have you ever even visited the Demon Realm, you foolish welp? The Demon Realm is a prison created by the kais. It may be my home, but it is NOT a safe house. We have suffered for millions of years inside of Makai, forced to fight amongst each other for a small amount of space in a foreign dimension. I know better than anyone the ‘natural order’ of things. It’s how I climbed to my position, by leaving a mountain of bodies of my own kind.
We may not have fought other races as often, but we have had to fight amongst ourselves for millions of years. Though we can make portals, every race in this Universe save for a handful treats us like abominations, like monsters. None more than your precious Saiyan race. Do NOT speak of things you do not know. Else you’ll be fighting two Demons instead of one.
Speak however naive as you like… but the truth is that the Universe will eventually stabilize. And as soon as it does conflict and war will begin once again. That is the cycle of life, and it began long before us. Even your Saiyan King will start resorting to his old antics for power as soon as his precious Universe is at a point that his people are no longer under threat.
And of course you will jump straight for Makai, straight for the Demons as you always do. Whatever atrocities you commit, you’ll do them in OUR name. Whatever deals you make, you will put the shame on us. That’s the thing about you mortals…
You’ll never blame yourselves for the decisions you make. You start a war with us, but it’s our fault if we attack you. You make a deal with us, and it’s our fault for tempting you. It’s always on us…. And that is why we will always hate you all,”}
So was always the fate of the Demons. They were the villains in every story, they were the hated in everyone’s perceptions. Regardless of their actual involvement or the circumstances involved, because they were Demons they were automatically wrong always. It didn’t matter if they were defending their homes and their families, it didn’t matter if their intentions were for the betterment of society. No matter what they did they were just wrong. They were just evil. It was an ironclad perception and idea that resonated across the entire known Universe.
And Heizen was beginning to tire of it.
The Demon King readied himself as the Demon God of Destruction was pushed back by Chris, the latter’s power of which was impressed. What strange technique was this? This red aura… Nakiya used a similar technique on Saiya. Heizen was intrigued. He intended to study this more closely. The power boost that emanated from it was extraordinary. Such a thing had to have drawbacks, but what would those be? He was glad he had Chris and Tomina to find out.
Heizen knew all too well what technique was coming when Cervez made the same position Serabi had back in the last round. While efficient - that solar flare technique annoyed the shit out of Heizen when it burned his eyelids. He closed his eyes like the rest and prepared himself. It was at that moment that Chris pulled himself and the Demon King farther away from all the action. If that technique had worked… Piero was done for. And they could finally go home.
Assuming these fuckers finally learned how to combine their attacks. They seemed to really struggle with it in the last round. Chris wanted him to know that Heizen could join them and launch an attack. But Heizen had a different idea. “Please… like I have any chance against this thing. I got as far as I have but knowing to pick my battles carefully. Why waste my energy on a useless attack… when I can restore someone else’s power… and give them the ability to fight back themselves? Your power is far above mine… Celestial,” Heizen would say, though finding the term Celestial both interesting and weird to say. What species was this? Is this why his energy felt similar to Nyxosa’s?
He needed to research this more later. Through the physical contact Chris initiated in their escape - Heizen flowed his own energy into Chris… A warm feeling would overcome him as his wounds closed and his body would become overcome with energy. This was Heizen’s ability - his ability to heal wounds was fairly decent, brought on by Demon Magics. “If they should fail… It’s up to you…,” he would say, panting heavily as his energy lowered. That took a fair bit out of him.
He watched Tomina’s power level grow a substantial amount with the same technique that Chris had used earlier, but to an even higher degree than he. He hungered for this power… watching how much stronger it made her, but also the pain with which it delivered to her body. He was starting to understand what type of technique it was… and he wanted it more than anything. He smiled… watching her as she and his Nephew launched stupendous attacks meant to overwhelm and possibly even take out this freakish Demon God of Destruction.
“You’d be a fool to underestimate the Saiyan race… They are a stubborn lot, after all…. The same goes for your own kind! Go my Nephew!” Heizen would holler with all of his might.

So noisy, all of them.
It was almost too much for his enhanced hearing; since they kept bickering at each other like pups over their favorite toy to chew on next. To the decade-old Anubian, their spite was almost laughable yet he couldn't really tell them to stop. 'It won't make a difference in the end anyway,' He thought to himself as he gave the two a passing glance. 'Time and again, different races and civilization will cross path and destroy each other, only to regroup to lick their wounds and start the cycle all over again. It has been like that since the creation of humanity and the other beings in the galaxy; regardless of how everyone feels about the matter nothing will ever change.' He looked forward just as the enraged screams of Piero breached his ears; the Anubian smirking in satisfaction at seeing how his gamble had worked.
'After all, before Creation comes Destruction; a world without either of them is doomed to destroy itself one way or another.' With that last parting thought the Anubian focused inward, bringing forth that well of power deep within his core and shaping it to his heart's desire into the form of a sphere of destruction. It glowed with Hakai Genki, flickering every now and then like it was ready to explode, but Cervez treated it like it was merely any other kind of ball in the Universe as he played with it a little.
It wasn't that powerful, compared to what he felt coming from Tomina and Bernael's combined attack, but that wasn't its most important effect. Rather what it would do to the facsimile of a GoD was the more important thing here. "Eat this! Hakai!" With that declaration, the Anubian cocked his arm back before it sprung forward, throwing the dangerous ball of energy right at Piero alongside Tomina's and Bernael's attack!

His eyes were still burning, palms continuing to dig into the sockets to try and get his vision back. A series of grunts and snarls were emitted from his mouth, finally starting to blink into his vision a few times. "Guh... you damn insects! All of you! Do you think that this is the end of me?!" Shaking his head a bit as to regain his composure, his focus would come back, staring there in shock at the incoming blast heading his way. "Th-This can't be! This power... all of this power... H-How...?!" A roar followed as both giant hands came up to take the blast head on. It was all he could do at this point.
Fingers gripped onto it as it came into contact with his godly flesh, surrounded by that purple light of destruction still. Piero tried to keep his feet planted firmly in place, not allowing the blast to move him anywhere, especially off the edge of the fighting stage. His bronzed, muscular body flexed tightly, doing what he could do keep the combined assault from overtaking him completely, screaming and roaring like an animal full of rage. "H-HOW COULD THIS... HAPPEN?! I AM A GOD! I AM AN ALMIGHTY GOD, BEING PUSHED BACK BY THE LIKES OF ALL OF YOU?! WHY?! HOW?!" Piero let out a howl, his fingers digging into the blast, though at this point his power was waning. His feet began to sink down into the arena floor, letting out an exhausted cry, spit flying out of his mouth as he did so. His entire body trembled, sweat poured out of every pore as Piero continued to try and fight back, pushing his hands up against the blast with as much strength as he could muster.. "Th-This... is impossible! IMPOSSIBLE! I WON'T ALLOW THIS TO--GUH!!!"
Finally, the attack broke through his defenses, his fingers were the first to fall as they entered the blast, swallowed whole by it. The combined energies of Universe 7's warriors was able burn away that destruction aura on his hands, slowly doing the same to the rest of his body as the attack now covered up to his forearms, slowly consuming him. It burned, his body was on fire. For the first time since his ascension, panic was all over the Jester's face, trying to pull his arms out of the blast but to no avail. He was sucked in, slowly being drained away of his own life force. "N-NO! PLEASE, NO! STOP THIS! STOP THIS! I AM A GOD! I AM A GO-AAGGGHHHHH!!!!"
The entire arena would shake as the energy collided into his face and body now, squishing up against Piero with nothing he could do. A wailing scream was heard, until eventually the destruction energy left him completely, melting away and reverting the Jester back to his original form while swallowed up by the combined attack. In a matter of moments the detonation happened, a half domed shaped explosion occurring that would nearly destroy the entire fighting arena where Piero stood and attempted to go toe to toe with the attack. After the destruction had subsided, the smoke began to clear to reveal nothing left of the Entity of Destruction, the once famed Clown of Chaos.
Piero was no more. Universe 7 had finally prevailed.

Tomina had clearly hit a nerve with the demon. He had even dropped his telepathy for a moment. Tomina had to tread carefully here. Infighting now would spell the end of them all. So she tried sound as neutral as possible when responding the the demon.
<So even without enemy races you demons have been telling the same story everyone else has over and over again. I can't say that I’m all that surprised. This will be cold comfort to you at best, but us Saiyans hate every other race. You’re not being singled out in particular. Admittedly we hate some races more than others. I suppose it's only natural for a warrior race to create as many enemies as possible. Yet even if were a peaceful race it would have turned out the same regardless.>
The Saiyans were not saints. Tomina wasn't ever going to pretend that they were innocent or that what happened to them was completely unjustified. Yet despite how much they loved fight, a lot of how things turned out wasn’t by choice.
<We hate every race because for centuries every race has been our enemy. 200 years ago the Kold Empire declared war on us. We had to fight them and every race under their command. Eventually it didn’t matter who started it: neither side made any effort for lasting peace. I imagine it was fun as shit for every Saiyan involved. I was born after my mother won it. 2 centuries of fighting nearly every other race… If a Saiyan born at the start of the war wasn’t killed in their lifetime, then they would have died of old age before it ended. I imagine that's incomprehensible for an immortal being such as yourself.>
Tomina had a hard time keeping her face from expressing emotion throughout this interaction. It wasn’t that the demon was making her angry persay. It was just frustrating to hear words that she once preached coming from someone else's mouth. It was now hard for her to accept something that she thought was the ironclad truth.
<Nasu was never my king. I needed him and the others to fulfil my own objectives. You have no idea how much of my pride I was forced to swallow to take orders from traitors who wiped out my family line. The cycle of life, hatred, and destruction … yes that's the story we’ve all decided to tell each other. I thought it was the only one that existed. Now I’m not so sure. There's only a few things I’m certain about now.>
The whole tournament had completely skewered her perception on things and her entire ideology. There were so many pieces she didn't fully understand. Pieces she wouldn't be able to put together until the tournament ended. She clenched her fist, her voice resonating in the demon’s mind.
<I don’t know about the other Saiyans you’ve met, but I don't blame my enemies for everything that has happened. If you lost a battle or died you were weaker and that was that. It was your own fault if you weren't powerful enough to win. That didn't mean that I never hated my enemies for what they’ve done to me. But if I had been this strong from the start then they wouldn’t have been able to take anything from me. It's what we wrought from all our fighting, and any Saiyan who isn't prepared for the possible consequences of a battle or war is a fucking idiot.>
The Empire had once taken over every race, earning the resentment of everyone under their foot. Tomina’s mother had declared war on Natto for defying her. Challenging a stronger foe than her cost her everything. She had been so sure of herself, as had Tomina. The hybrid spoke solemnly in the demon’s mind, her voice softening ever so slightly.
<I imagine Nasu will retaliate against your kind for what you did. I can't say that I will do the same though. I Don't know what I’ll do now. I thought I knew the path to obtain what I sought but after everything today… I don't know which path to go down. There must be a better way: the other universes who aren't in this tournament are clearly doing something different than us. I'm not taking any drastic action until I find an answer. That doesn't change how I feel about you. But I can't exactly go with “kill everyone I don’t like” as my default option for handling things anymore.>
Chris had decided to pull the demon out from the range of her attack. In truth she was aiming it so that it wouldn't hit anyone. But she supposed Chris was being on the safe side, not letting there be any kind of chance that they could get hit from her fire attack. In turn the demon had payed him back with a healing technique. With how things were going though, she wasn’t going to need it.
The rest of her team had decided to combined their attacks with her own. She wondered for a moment if that was going to be enough. Maybe this was some kind of trick to get them to waste all of their energy. But her doubts faded away once he started screaming. Despite his best efforts the self proclaimed God was being pushed back. Eventually the combined attack completely consumed him. A fiery explosion consumed the demon, sending a shockwave flying through the arena. When the dust settled, he was gone. There was no trace of his energy or his form left. Grinning, Tomina dropped her Kaioken form.
“If that was the power of a God, then he really should have asked for a refund. Cause it wasn’t all what it was cracked up to be… heh…”
Tomina returned to her base form, and fell on her back. She was absolutely spent from the amount of energy she put in and from her earlier wounds in the tournament. It had been the toughest series of fights she had ever been in by far. And there were points where she didn’t think they were going to come out on top. But they did it. The universe was saved now. This time she hadn’t failed. She couldn’t help but grin up into the endless void above her. She couldn’t wait to tell Tarro and Hasenya about this epic of showdowns.
